  1. Re: Ghosts in Champions Universe Thank you! Christopher, I'll look again at Champions--hadn't revisited the core book in a while. I figure their "affects physical world" will be limited to some light telekinesis--I'll see what the adventure calls for as I write. Liaden, I hadn't yet seen the p59 reference, which does in fact say just what I need. I'm going to pull out the 6E Bestiary right now and look into what it says. I mean for this adventure to take place in a relatively low-powered venue (heroes start at 300CP, outskirts of Mil City, fast advancement), so I don't want thecritters to be too hardy. Thanks again for the input! And now, I'm 2 messages in!
  2. So, I think I've answered my own question, but I've been browsing these forums under the initial "limited" account for a while, and I'd really like to upgrade, so I'm posting it anyway. I'm sketching out a Champions campaign for future use, and one of the episodes will feature a haunted house scenario. A reality-show celebrity ghost hunter is coming to town to visit and exterminate an "America's Most Haunted" inn; some local ghosts hear of this and approach the heroes, perhaps through a psychic, perhaps directly, to get them to stave him off. His own equipment is demonic in nature, with a Busters-style proton pack actually housing an imbued demon which is devouring spirits to increase its own power and ability to escape. Heroes may have to deal with this guy, his demon, and some unfriendly ghosts. So, my question. This is meant as a one-off, but it will essentially establish the flavor of afterlife in my campaign. For the purposes of consistency and not painting myself into a corner, I want to keep it as close to Champs canon as possible. I'm picturing a kind of Being Human / Ghost Whisperer afterlife scenario, with the ghosts actually in the Astral Plane (as per 5e Mystic Hero). My question--does anything canonical establish or contradict some ghosts being somewhat aware of the real world? I realize that having ghosts running around as spies for the heroes would get very problematic, so I figure they're really only self-interested (ie, no deals with PCs, etc.) Any input or plot-hole cautions would be appreciated. Thanks!
