  1. Re: Modern Villains that would translate well into Pulp Hero Ra's Al Ghul is probably the best Batman villain for the Pulp Era that was not created in it. His organization, his Lazarus Pit rebirths. his daughter Talia, are all elements that fit into the Pulp Era.

    Top 10

Re: Top 10 #1 You won't be able to stop shaking until at least three days later. Next Top Ten List. Top Ten Reasons You Should Never Ask Firewing for A Light.
  3. Re: Would your hero register his Secret ID with Primus? No, Nemesis would register one of his cover identities with them.
  4. Re: The 20 Henchmen of the Sinister Skull #13 John "Jinx" Jenkins. The Sinister Skull's head of operations. He's a man of average height, average build, average looks. But underneath he's anything but average. He gets his nickname "Jinx" for a very simple reason. Whenever the Sinister Skull gets really tired of someone's interference with his plans he tells John Jenkins to take care of the problem. And then all of the sudden, all sorts of "bad luck" starts happening to these people. Their appliances and vehicles start breaking down, they get audited by the IRS and get their bank accounts frozen, their girlfriend or wife thinks she's caught them cheating, and all sorts of other things just go wrong in their lives. Jenkins organizes all of this and more. He's a master planner of great cunning and malice. He takes joy and pleasure in destroying people's lives and them never realizing that he's done it.
  5. Re: The 20 Henchmen of the Sinister Skull Oddhat, I loved your character. Absolutely hilarious. And you are correct. Misters Black and Blue humbly submit their apologies for having annoyed Scruffy the Plumber.
  6. Re: The 20 Henchmen of the Sinister Skull #2 and #3 Mister Black and Mister Blue. These guys are the Sinister Skull's "persuaders" of the violent and unpleasant type. Identical twins that stand six and a half feet tall and are 250 pounds of pure muscle apiece. These guys can bend crowbars with their bare hands or snap handcuffs or knock a oak door to splinters with a few punches. But they are not just muscle. These big guys are pretty smart too. They never forget a name or a face. They know the city like the backs of their hands. And they really know how to intimidate people. People know that when Mr. Black says to guy to keep his mouth shut or his tongue will be pulled out and that when Mr. Blue tells somebody if they miss the next payment he'll pull off their arms, that they mean it. After all, they've done it multiple times before.
  7. Re: Your PCs might be overpowered if... If you can make Menton sing "I'm a Little Teapot" anytime somebody snaps their fingers, you might be just a little overpowered.
  8. Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics So will Mythic Hero have archtype templates like the Trickster, the Champion, the Craftsman, and the Sage?
  9. Re: Your PCs might be overpowered if... You tell Captain Chronos you know exactly what he's up to and to stop messing the situation up. You'll handle it after breakfast.
  10. Re: New Product: Champions Villains Volume One: Master Villains So who else is a second-tier master villain? And do you have the nerve to say who they are? After all we are talking about your global level threats here.
  11. Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics Steve, thank you for replying. I completely understand about the work involved. The most frustrating and tiring course I ever took in college was statistics. I loved finding out the answers but boy did I hate that it usually took me hours upon hours to do so. If it happens, it happens. If not, oh well. Maybe I'll try and tackle it one of these days.
  12. Re: The 20 Hideouts of the Sinister Skull #16. The Bar in the Rough Part of Town. This is where the Skull recruits his cheap hoods for quick distraction jobs. The Skull wants to slip a little something into the water at the pumping station on the north side of town? To make sure the heroes don't interfere he places a call to the Bar on the Rough Side of Town to have a bunch of hoods rob a bank, start a riot, shoot up a police station on the south side of town. The trick is that the Bar is not actually the point of contact. The Skull radios one of his top henchmen who's cover is a bartender. The so-called bartender changes his location from bar to bar every few months, usually right after getting the necessary thugs for a distraction job. In addition with each move, he changes his name and appearance. Thus when the heroes track down where those thugs came from, the only link back to the Skull has already moved on.
  13. Re: CHAMPIONS VILLAINS Statistics Steve, one quick stats question not addressed in your initial post. What was the average points per villain character? I realize that with Dr. Destroyer and his ilk on the list its probably a massively skewed number. But it would be interesting to know what the hero's odds were one on one. Thanks.
  14. Re: New Product: Champions Villains Volume One: Master Villains Another point to consider about the Slug is his write-up in Galactic Champions. In that books I'd say he ranked as the number two threat in the galaxy after Mechanon 3000. So it doesn't really shock me that they moved him to master villain status.
  15. Re: Champions Villians Book I pdf now available in hero online store Thanks to all of you for the information. The groups I hadn't heard of sound interesting. What's happening with Deathstroke also sounds fascinating. All the villain books just went to the top of my wish and purchase lists.
