  1. Re: WWYCD: Holes in the story Black Widow: Would quickly swing away to a safe place where she could let the Harvester take over so she wouldnt brutally murder the doughnut guy. (you wouldnt like her when she is angry if you know what i mean) Witherfist: Would suck away all of the doughnut guys End so he could push his flying and get to the next doughnut shop that much faster with out feeling out of breath Nubis: Would probe into doughnut guys mind to find the man who bought his last jelly doughnuts so that he could track him down and reap the vengance that is coming to that poor fellow Thanatose: Would be disapointed, but would buy whatever else looked good. Would pay with a hundred dollar bill and insist that the man keep the change. Then he would run like hell because that hundred was actually a highly explosive bomb that would go off in about... *BANG*
  2. So lets say i have a 4d6 absorbtion with its maximum tranfer rate at a 30, does that mean that i can have a maximum of 30 transfered from multiple different sources or i can take a max of 30 from any target at any given time to a theoretical infinite number of points tranfered?
  3. Re: Circle of Protection ("Realistic") How about something like this? For the Repel aspect: Teleportation, Usable against others, triggered when supernatural creature enters proximity, and enough AoE/Mega-scale to fit the area you want. It only needs to be a few inches so it wouldnt be to expensive. At least, without actually doing the math i wouldnt know. For the Deffence: Some power deffence and mentle deffence bought through a focus, (the regents for charm) enough AoE/Megascale to fit the area you want, only works against supernatural attacks, usable by others, and if your feeling frisky maby abalative deffences. Yea, Nae?
  4. Re: How do you use The Champions in your campaign? Hey!!! Just because i had to go save the world before she woke up does not mean i dont respect her!!!
  5. Re: Zero Information I wouldnt doubt that it would be bizarre and if we ever did make characters i would try to make the most obscure character i could just to see how the GM deals with it
  6. Has anybody out there ever tryed to play a game in which at character creation the players were given no guidelines about what the story was going to be about? This included whether or not its going to be star/fantasy/plain old champions. If we are to build Super heros or just very skilled normals or if its even going to be set on earth. A few weeks ago me and a buddy of mine had an interesting conversation about how it might be fun to do a campaign where all of us, excluding the poor sucker to run it, were to take a 300 point base and just build whatever kind of character we want. That is, limiting the characters to X DC's, Y Armor, and Z OCV/DCV For another little bit of spice, if we were to actually build sed characters, the players would be forbidden to tell each other about what kinda character the other ones were building so that we couldnt go for the "well rounded" group with your typical brick, projector, rogue. Which brings a thought to mind... Wouldnt it be awesome to run a campaign with just a ton of glass cannons!!!
  7. If i have a multi power pool with 40 points in it with all variable for Str, Dex, Spd, Stun and Recovery I know that i can take any combonation of charicteristics as long as i do all my math right and dont go over 40 points. Its not the function of a MPP that my question is based on. My question is based on 4th edition rules. If i came across a senario where i needed to dump every point into str giving me a 40 str boost, would i also get +8 pd, +8 recovery and +20 Stun just like if i bought 40 streight points of Str?
  8. Re: Which older modules are worth running? Just out of morbid curiosity, why dont you like destroyer? Could it be because of how majorly insanly hard it is to even scratch his paint, only to have it be recovered in a second with his (if i remember correctly) 40 recovery. Or is his army large enough to fill a dozen countries? Or is it the fact that he has like 15 points in lack of weakness, and even if you could somehow manage to find weakness once, you come to realize that ALL of his defences are hardened? Or the fact that he has an uber RKA with no ranged penilties and a gadget pool large enough to get some telescopic vision of a few thousand light years? In case you couldnt tell, i dont like him to much either. But i would gladly do whatever it is that he wanted me to do lest i bring upon the wrath of his mind controll.
  9. Re: WWYD - Battlefield Ahh what fun this situation has posed for me and my group. Nubis, my character, is the most level headed of our trio and would do his best to get all the bystanders out of harms way. Atlas, has a strong passion against killing and would do his best to make sure that no fatalities occoured on either party as well as protecting bystanders And now... we come to that character... the character that every group has and the character that always seems to throw a huge monkey wrench into every single plan ever laid out ever! Thanatos, loves things that go boom. Has an arsenal of grenades on him with varying effects at all times and would lob many hand granades into the middle of the action not even taking a second thought about all the bystanders that are cowering for their lives Atlas then trys to whack thanatose on the head and misses because of the huge difference between his OCV and Thanatos's DCV, so instead just yells at him for being so reckless. Nubis flys back only to find yet another mess made by thanatos and begins to heal the wounded and carry them to safety. After all civilians have been located to a safe place and if the battle still rages on, as members of S.H.I.E.L.D. it is our duty to stop the battle with as little damage as possible. Nubis, after sending many telepathic messages to thanatos that say DO NOT KILL ANYBODY!!!, would try to halt the violence by entangling as many of them as possible, if that failed, he would psycically assault the members of the groups that he could manage to get a hand on. (has a no range ego blast) Atlas, after shouting many orders at thanatos that sound somewhat like "DO NOT KILL ANYTHING!!!" would procede to HULK SMASH on the biggest looking one of the 2 groups. Thanatos, after ignoring the many orders given by nubis and atlas, would procede go bust out his signiture sythe and hack away at the nearest play thing. Assuming that we are able to halt the violence, and nubis heals the near fatal wounds inflicted by thanatos, we would call in the transport team, they would slap some supressor cuffs on them and they would be taken back to S.H.E.I.L.D headquarters for questioning on "OMG WTF IS THE MATTER WITH YOU PEOPLE!!! >:O" Then fade to black and all the players joyfully as the question... If you have to ask what the question is, THEN YOU ARE NO TRUE GAMER!!! XP
  10. Re: Hostile guidance system Lets see right here...*thinking outside the box* Let me take a crack at this... (13 active points) 14+Int/5 Computer programing (because i couldnt find a hacking skill), usable at range, triggered by sonar detecting incoming missile. Total +1 advantage. Real cost 26 points. Would that work?
  11. Re: A whole new body Well does the player have to find a new body before the ritual can go down or does another one just apear? If the awnser to #1 is that they have to find a replacement body, then i would say that you should make a forensics roll mixed with some funky kinda enhanced vision (my guess would be N-Vision for magical abnormalities) to see if there are any flaws with the body that need fixing before the ritual. If the awnser is that a new body just appears then i would say dont worry about it, as that is just the special effect of the power. Help at all?

Re: Archfoes Radio Wave- Robin relys on the police radio waves in order to catch criminals in the act. Its just to bad that Radio Wave has the ability to jam the signal put out by radio and also send out false messages to fool those listening to fall into his devious traps with but a thought. Whial we are on the topic of heros/villans that are sound based... Kid Thrash- A young metal head with the uncanny ability to mosh and come out unscathed. Whenever he takes a blow that would otherwise batter and bruse other normals, he seems to get tougher. He has a strong sence of right and wrong and whenever he spots a wrong doer, he imediatly begins to subdue even if it could mean harm to himself. It puzzles even him how he is able to keep going after a hard night of moshing followed by a good beating on by the group of gang members that tryed to mug him.

Re: Archfoes *emphisis added by me* Though paragon is a perfected piece of humanity who is capable of much good rivaling that of the great super man, he is still but a teenage boy and god only gave a teenage boy enough blood to think with 1 of his head. No matter how much they try, 95% of the time it is with the head down south. Darlene DeLanor, otherwise known as Double D, uses this to her advantage and manipulates the part of paragon that is still but a boy into commiting various misdeeds by using her hyper pheramones against him that leave him a mindless slave to her whim. Samuel Gates, to most, was but a simple street performer who played his guitar just to earn a few bucks so he could live his life. But what they didnt know, was that when he is playing, he enters a deep trance that grants him visions of the near future that would bring harm upon the city or himself. Once a vision of destruction has been brought to his eyes, he plays a masterfull tune that carrys his powers through time and space to before said destruction has started to stop the one that he saw in his visions. The only trace of his presence after the destruction has been averted is a faint echoing of the song that he had played prior to sending his powers into the future.

Re: Archfoes Inferno -- The assasin that is inferno was hired to put an end to the blasted canadian that is the faller. As the faller was out and about on his every day logging routines, inferno caused the gas inside his chainsaw to combust at such a rapid rate that the chainsaw critically failed and exploded, lodging bits of frag deep into the fallers skull PRESENCE MAN!!! -- Though he has never actually thwarted a villan like superman by pounding a few heads, he has stoped many a villan from following through with their plots by using his almost unhuman oratory skills combined with his uncanny ability to scare the hell out of anything. It is rumored that he once made a stone shatter into pieces simply by staring at it and concentrating for a few moments and that bullets seem to avoid him at all costs when he is giving one of his epic speaches.
