my original intention was to work on updating some of the tech stuff, and I was waiting to hear back from Don about what he wanted done when he passed, after that Marc Miller took the project over, Andy had already been working with Don on some of the updates

from what I understand Don Mckinney and Andy Staples fixed that part

cover art is done, posted links in the Star Hero portion of this board, conversion doc is being worked on, theres also a ToC on the back, it does not list the conversion doc, but it will be there

ok this is the new thread for this, what we need is just a guide/Treatise etc on converting 5E to 6E, my problem is I am quite entrenched in 5E, and I honestly dont know 6E well enough to do this properly. we have everything ready to go except the conversion guide. anybody who wants to help on this would be welcome. as a teaser I have examples of the art for the new CD in hand... and have been given permission by Marc Miller to post them 13-281 CDROM-TH HERO Traveller.pdf TheroCDCover.pdf

ok, Finally I have good news, what we need is help putting together the conversion document for 5E to 6E, otherwise were good to go it looks like, I have now seen the slip case and cover art for the CD itself, and it looks pretty nice, so i would appreciate any help I can get on this, I am going to start a new thread on this today

as noted elsewhere on the board, Don McKinney passed away yesterday afternoon, where that leaves anything... I have no clue. going to miss Don a lot for several reasons

word on the traveller forums is that Don passed away this afternoon, Don worked on Traveller Hero, early versions of Star Hero also. he was chairman of the Winter War convention also lowers the Imperial sunburst to halfstaff

Star Trek 6 also had some of the crew in heavy space suits

just to pour some napalm on the fire. 1. ships with primarily broadside weapons/shields... ala Hornblower/Honor Harrington. crossing the T and Up the Kilt shots are aimed for. long range missiles are the real killer 2. Disposable Missile/Torpedo pods 3. Front and Rear Spinal Mount Weapons 4. design parameters for different hull configurations

As far as vehicles go... are you looking for anything in particular... Surbooks site has a ton of real and ficitonal vehicle writeups already done... not all are 6E though, a lot are 5E http://surbrook.devermore.net/adaptationsvehicles/vehicle.html and I have an extensive collection that never made it on the site

I've never actually tried generating star systems with Hero, I always just fall back on a variant of Traveller, depending on how much detail I want on a particular system, its something I should take a better look at though

at this point were working on the 5E to 6E conversion document.... things are looking great otherwise

so far I have rummaged through a friends large collection of newer shadowrun books, and added all the spells and cybernetics I could find, now its on to updating the physical adept stuff, and the general qualities everything is being done in Hero Designer, to make things easy to tinker with
