  1. I have 2 fan pdfs here, but neither one lists an author... and I wanted to work on updating them, can somebody put me in touch with the original authors?
  2. I have been digging through a lot of online hero material too.. there almost 300 handguns alone, the fictional ones are included with an[F] at the end, its less than 5mb total size
  3. Thanks for your great work on these writeups, please keep up the good work... I am currently compiling a database of weapon writeups for Hero. can I add these to the database? Its pretty much for my own consumption, its a simple Access Database
  4. did anybody buy the Robots book and or Robot Adventures book? if so contact me, dont need the book or anything... just trying to clarify something, and archive.org has proven useless
  5. one idea, Hero system has a size class table for vehicles, limit the number of weapons mounts./hardpoints/nodes whatever to a figure based on that table then you could limit how many weapons
  6. I agree with Spence, you really should define what tech is available
  7. how complex of a ship building system do you want? I have all the traveller variants, spacemaster, space opera, star hero, shatterzone, star wars, wyrmship technical manual, Star Fleet Battles, Full Thrust, A Call To Arms, and Battlefleet Gothic on the shelf, so if you want help bashing something together. oops forgot GURPS Space
  8. you might want to look at the ship construction systems used in the various Traveller versions, the big problem I have always had with ship and vehicle construction in Hero, is that unless you go back to Champions 2., there hasnt really been a way of figuring out how much space something takes. I use Traveller Hero for that, and if something that doesnt fit Traveller Hero, I still use the rules in Champions 2. and hopefully SOON on the re-issue of Traveller Hero
  9. Rest in Peace Randy Hollingsworth... I just found out about his death from Eodin today... Randy was out partner in crime on Traveller Hero, and will be greatly missed... there will be a dedication to him and also Dave Sering who another inspiration to me, Dave was the production manager and Traveller line editor at Judges Guild
  10. I would say In my painkiller induced haze I had a visit from Grandfather... who dropped off some holy tomes and said something about a Traveller Hero CD in the next month.... but the signed hardcover T5 and both classic Aliens Modules compilations were quite real... so I guess its a go
  11. due to real life interfering badly, I am going to be out of touch a lot for the next couple of months... I was in a fairly bad traffic accident, that has left me with a back injury thats going to require 4-6 weeks of rehab care, with limited net access. I should be ok eventually, I was hoping to sit down with Don and Ken Burnside at Winter War and talk Traveller.. but thats very doubtful at this point. I can at least check e-mail daily. and folks can find me on my facebook page, should it be necessary. Mike Wallis on the Traveller RPG group has my conract info here at the facility if needed
  12. there a bit smaller, but the diabetic testing strips i use come in a similar but smaller container, and I've seen a couple of different sizes of these containers, silver with a black lid, or all white and a little bigger
  13. thats not bad at all, or get lucky and find somebody that just has a pile of them stashed for some strange reason
  14. I could see using plastic film canisters for spell component storage
  15. actually it wasnt our choice... we did have some constraints on what material we could and couldnt use, I dont remember all the particulars though, Eodin dealt with it more than I did
  16. I have gotten a list started of things that need fixing/adding etc
  17. lab coat in a kevlar/nomex weave might work
  18. I understand your wanting to stay away from cloaks and robes... although personally I rather like my ankle length hooded half circle cloak.... lots of room for pockets, re-inforcing, sheaths for small knives or other fun things... its just a matter of taste... and there great for hiding things under... even if its just a couple of pockets for something the size of a 12 oz can of liquid[seen it done, velcro closures, heavy duty thread that was probably closer to fishing line. next thought for a less archaic cloak would be a Duster style or Mantled coat. the biggest disadvantage to the long cloak being bulk, and if you leave it sitting horizontally for more than a few seconds its going to attract all the cats that can find it. but they also make great blankets... especially in emergencies
  19. when it comes to Gothic Horror in space, the old Dark Space setting for Spacemaster comes to mind
  20. nothing wrong with breaking tradtion, I just think the blue they used on 6E was fugly at best, the 5E black and green was good, the 4E Blue was much better
  21. or black backround with blue and yellow lettering, but its probably not my choice anyways
  22. I dunno about that color combo... I know they are 6E colors... but I still prefer the style we went with for the original
  23. once in a while a set of the printed books pops up for sale, original retail was 50.00 for the 2 book set for the books, IIRC the pdf 2 book set was 25 or 30 not sure how many books were actually printed, but there werent many left over at the end .
