  1. Re: Wedding Bells Are Ringing! For some reason that image popped into my mind with the following change: he's wearing a pink thong over his costume.
  2. Re: Wedding Bells Are Ringing! I think it'd be funny if GRAB hit the wedding to steal the gifts, Foxbat hit the wedding to steal the bride, and if Dark Seraph showed up to steal one of the gifts (perhaps that small crystal orb is really a powerful magical artifact?).
  3. Re: What is it about Champions? HERO is my favorite system of them all. I don't care for D20 (with the exception fo DnD, which I will never run again but will play). Personally I think D20 should never have gone past DnD.... especially where D20 modern is concearned. Just my 2% of a dollar.
  4. Re: What I have planned for my players tommarrow lol... sounds like something Foxbat would try
  5. Re: What I have planned for my players tommarrow Well it turns out that I'll have to delay my plans for a week - most of my players can't make it this week. Drat!
  6. Re: What I have planned for my players tommarrow Good point. I can set it so grabbing the plane is plan B... Plan A can be grabbing the plans from the office building.
  7. Gonna somewhat use a timeline to provide background for the adventure. My game takes place in Kansas City (a Comic book version of KC). Not too far away is and AFB where the B-2 Bombers are located. 4 years ago: the USAF hires Defense Contractors Global Technologies to develope a new Stealth Bomber, the X-22 Shadow. The X-22 is far more advanced than any other Stealth technology - opposed to simply deflecting/absorbing Radar, it bends Radar around it. What's more, it is equiped with new sensor technology that works similar to radar but looks for the ripples of electromagnetic energy put out by electrical currents. Most importantly the X-22 is capable of circumnavigating the globe in a single trip, which eliminates the need for risky in-flight refueling. 1 Year Ago: Warlord's Spies uncovered reports of the X-22's capabilities. Knowing that the Sensors package alone was a threat to him provoked his interest. He ordered his spies to find out when and where the X-22 would be debuting so he could arrange for it's theft. Modern Day: The local AFB is ready to debut the X-22. Warlord already has a company of Shadow Army troops ready to seize the base. To make sure no one interferes (Namely PRIMUS, UNTIL, and the City's newest heroes), Warlord sends The War Machine along. What Warlord doesn't expect is that a spy within his own ranks contacts one of the PC's being hunted by Warlord and warns said PC of the attack. Thus said, the PC's will be waiting for the attack when War Machine attacks. Warbird will be focusing on stealing the X-22 while the others battle the heroes. If the PC's can't stop Warbird from stealing the X-22, I'll provide them a means of sneaking abord Warlord's flying fortress. If they can stop the theft (or destroy the X-22 by mistake) then I'll have warlord make an appearance. What you think?

    Astreoid Maps

Re: Astreoid Maps Notes on the base: The 6 hexagonal buildings are domes. The interior of the domes are like normal buildings. I didn't bother drawing the Airlocks. The structures connecting the domes are enclosed Catwalks (there are airlocks at each dome entrance to prevent decompression if a Catwalk is destroid. The 4 Triangular structures are sheild generators. The Core has a landing pad on top. The Only other entrances to the core are cat-walks B-C and E-F. Where these Catwalks and the Catwalks leading to the core are is a security Shutter. Dome A is the Warehouse and Vehical Service Station. There is an Airlock leading outside big enough for most vehicals. There is also a vertical Lift. The first floor should be littered with crates. Dome B is the Security Station and Armory. This is where the controls for all security doors and the Force Feilds are. However, control for the inner force field takes priority commands from the Core. Dome C is the barracks and dining hall. Dome D is the hospital. Dome E is the Maintenance Shed. Dome F is Life Support. This is where all water and air are pumped for recycling. As for the Core itself, you can do whatever you want with it. I orginally had this: 1st Floor: A large lobby with a guard Station by the elevators. Guard Station has a 2ndary Barracks and Armory in the back. 2nd Floor: Offices and Conference Center. Roof: Landing pad for Vertical Take-off and landing vehicals. B1: Lockers and Rec room. B2: Security Level 1 Labs. B3: Security Level 2 Labs B4: Maximum Security Labs, Emergency Failsafe Control Center. Central Computer banks

    Astreoid Maps

Re: Astreoid Maps Sorry I haven't responded sooner - been bogged down with homework. anyway, I went digging through my book of stuff (official name of every plot idea, character, and base I've ever had) and discovered that 90% of the material has suffered water damage. While granted, there wasn't very much to begin with, I've lost about 20 pages of work - mostly character writeups *sigh* The good news is that I still have 2 pages of the base on paper (the others were damaged beyond recognition). I managed to redraw the overview on Hex Paper. I can either try to redraw the other pages (there were like, 6 of them) or you can just use what I have available.

    Astreoid Maps

Re: Astreoid Maps k... are you looking for the "Base is built so the horizontal is aligned with the Meteor's Surface" or the "The base is a building inside a meteor" bascially will the base only have 1 'down' or will it's down be the center of the meteor? are you wanting colored maps or not? I have some B&W maps that can easily be set onto the surface of a meteor (even slightly below surface). Give me a couple of days and I can find them and scan them into my computer and post them here.

    Astreoid Maps

Re: Astreoid Maps Take a large sheet of paper and put a 10 by 20 grid on it. Each square of the grid is X Miles or Kilometers. Then using a d10, a d20, and two d4 you can randomly generate an astroid's surface. The d10 and d20 give you your coordinates; the two d4 will give you the radius and depth of the craters (feel free to add another d4 for oblong craters. Once you are done doing this, you can layout where you want key installations and caves. Need a map for cave layout? Create of boxes (not connected!) that are about 10 by 10. Then using a d4 create a path doing the following: 1 - Dead End 2 - Turn Right 3 - Turn Left 4 - Go straight This will give you a random cave complex inside of the astroid. Need ideas for a Base? Use Hexes. Have 6 lesser buildings form a ring around the core building. Connect the 6 outter buildings with enclosed walkways, and only allow 2 lesser buildings (or walkways) connect to the central building. Connect these complexes at the lesser buildings to form a large grid system. Hope this is of some help
  12. Re: Video Games My group is doing a one-shot game where everyone is playing Videogame Characters. I'm thinking about playing Samus Aran or Cloud Strife... I know Cloud inside and out (even have his Omnislash Limitbreak represented, but it cost more for the Limit Bar and Absorbtion power than it did for the Omnislash - go figure!). Anyway.. anyone ever do Samus?
  13. Re: Reccomended Champions Library Down-right uberly massive suckage.
  14. Re: Reccomended Champions Library Hey! You have the same ones I do! lol. If it weren't for the fact I was just laid off (and I'm in college), I'd get Conquerers Killers and Crooks (any idea how hard it is to use the Champions Universe without it?), the USPD, the Gadgets book, and the Hero System Beastiary. Being poor sucks
  15. Re: What would Dr. Destroyer *really* do?
  16. Re: Champions miniatures Wow.... soon as I get a cam I'll have to post some of the ones I did.. lol (mine were made using Mage Knight... no Heroclix as of yet )
  17. Sorry, this is the first time I've been able to get to a computer... Last Friday I ran my first Champs Game. Basically the heroes were going up against some Genetically Engineered Creatures produced by Telios for Viper (sort of a Godzilla-ish creature that spits acid). They managed to dispatch the juvenielle (SP?) Terrorsaurs, and when then adult showed up (Same Size as Telios' Dynamosaur, similar Characteristics too) the two bricks in the part did a combined attack and both did move-throughs. I had ruled that Move-Throughs would allow them to exceed the DC Limit - My Mistake. They did enough damage to the Terrorsaur that they KO'd it in one hit. I cried. Needless to say, after that Move-throughs no longer go above the DC Limit in my campaign. Hm... what about Haymakers I wonder? Pushing would obviously exceed the DC Limit *Shrug*
  18. Re: Need help with a Gadget... Thanks! Here's the final cut: Rebounding Disc Launcher Energy Blast 8d6 PD Indirect +1/2 ID Requires Rebound(s) -1/2 OAF -1 Charges x8 -1/4 (book is not in front of me so I could be wrong *shrug*) Real Weapon -1/4 2 Handed Weapon -1/2 AP 60 RC 19
  19. One of my players is playing a Gadgeteer-esque character.. and one of our collababerated ideas was a Rebounding Battle Disk Launcher. Basically the power is an Energy Blast (Physical Damage) and he can rebound the attack off of any solid surface (except thing like people, or Glass). I thought about building it with ID +1/2... but what kind of limitation would be "Indirect Requires Bounce" be worth? Once I figure that out I can calculate the Real Cost by placing the limitation on the Points added for ID. Rebounding Disk Launcher EB 8d6 Indirect +1/2 ID Requires Rebound -? OAF -1 Charges x16 -0 Real Weapon -1/4 2 Handed Weapon -1/2 AP 60 RC: ?
  20. Re: The Last Word Now a word from our sponsors. The TV turns to static and you see the face of Foxbat. "Ha ha! I've hijacked every Channel in the world. Turn over control of the planet to me, Foxbat, the greatest criminal Mastermind in the world!" You see Grond tear into the room. "You make Grond miss end of To Kill Mock Bird! SMASH!!!" And now we return you to your normally scheduled nonsense.
  21. Re: All the superhero PCs I've ever played In order (all champs). Vicks (writeup provided by GM, name by me, very first PC) Beast (X-Men Champs) Wargod (PBEM Champs Gam) Super Blue (PBEM Champs Game) Gizmo (PBEM Champs Game) Shifter (PBEM Champs Game) Dreamer (PBEM Champs Game)
  22. Re: Are YOU a superhero? Dang, only a 70. Guess I need a costume...
  23. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #68 Currently not in any games, but we'll go with my default character Super Blue: Seeing as how this guy is an Uber-Villain, I'd gather every known Hero (and villain) that'd come to take him down while he's still tired from battling the horror from the unknown (not to mention I'd prolly figure that he was the one that set the monster on us in the first place).
