  1. Re: Villainous Motivations "The villain is the hero of his own story."
  2. Re: Alternate Marvel Universe Flash Thompson follows that milktoast Parker into the science fair and, trying to get a rise out of him, pushes him just as the radioactive spider descends and bites Flash instead. Flash freaks out at the transformation, but Parker, who witnessed it, calms him down. A grateful Flash befriends Parker in secret (what would the other kids think?) but has to give up sports when he seriously injures one of his teammates during a practice which spreads the rumor that Flash is juicing. While going to visit Peter's house, he saves his uncle from a robber. The grateful Parker devises web-spinning devices for Flash who devotes himself to fighting crime as.... Spider-Flash...AHAAAAAAAAA he's save everyone of us!
  3. What's the tendency for your campaigns? I've noticed gamers coming from a more fantasy oriented background lean towards killing the villains, because then you can take their stuff.
  4. Re: Champions 4th edition love? Thanks for the help! Yeah, de money she be tight right now, but maybe I'll give the new stuff a look. My superhero nostalgia fits in with the 4th ed. Champions best, setting wise.
  5. Hi, i'm new to the forums and have a question. I have most of the old 4th edition books and was wondering if anyone could point me towards any good fansites/links for more 4th ed. material? I was always sort of intimidated by the HERO system, and got the books mostly for the fluff and for converting to other systems, but I'd like to give it a shot now, and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
  6. Re: The Cape - What do you think of it so far? I gave up on it with the Dice episode, just YAWWWWN not feeling the love anymore. I appreciated that it was unapologetically a Superhero show, but the writing just wasn't there. The episodes were too self containted without any forward momentum as another poster stated. Comic books have storylines, this show didn't or they weren't trying hard enough. A villain called Chess should be more of a planner, not someone that hits you over the head with a chessboard while cackling maniacally. It's a shame because the actors are good, and the production values are there, it's just bad writing. Checkout No Ordinary Family for slightly better superhero drama.
  7. Re: 4th edition Champions pics I always thought Jaguar was black furred, since they never showed him with the rosette spots like a normal jaguar. Still, looks good.
  8. Re: So...About Seeker... Hi, I'm new, and I don't own any HERO books newer than 4th edition (well, the Lucha Libre book and the PULP main book since it's awesome), so maybe that's why I think Seeker is cool. Australian trained by WW2 Ninja in the Outback, that's a comic book character.
