    Stronghold

Anybody else looking forward to Stronghold?
  4. Re: The Algernon Files come to Hero!!! Try this link. http://www.blackwyrm.com/Extras.htm It's got artwork and info on characters for both the old and new M&M systems. From what dave posted earlier, Hero previews should be coming up soon.
  5. Re: The Algernon Files come to Hero!!! From the information they have posted, Frau Doktor Veronica von Frankenstein, appears in the upcoming TAF. Vol. II Fire's of War. As for the others go, they have previously stated that if sales justify their continued production of books, then most of, if not all, the characters mentioned in the background will eventually see print. If I've mistated anything, I'm sure either Dave or Aaron will correct me. So, if you want to see more Champions compatable goodies from Blackwyrm, then you need to support them by picking yourself up a copy of their books, and demanding that your local game/hobby/comics shop carry their material (if you bug them they will order more). For that matter, the smae goes for any product you wish to continue to see on the market.
  6. Re: Big Question: How did superpowers come about in your campaign? Way back when, I we decided that it was some form of genetic tinkering by an ancient alien race. After years of pretty much nothing happening, they chocked it up as a failure and moved on to other parts of the galaxy. Only to have the descndants of their original test groups to being exbiting various special abilities (it explains some of the more colorful myths throughout history).
  7. Re: The Algernon Files come to Hero!!! Actually gent's, most of the stuff that Dave and Aaron have been kind of enough to post above, is just some cool additioanl background info, and didn't make into the first book. But, they do have a kick assed mystical villain by the name of Sepulchre! Who's powerful enough to mop the floor with many a team of hero's. There are also a few other mystical characters such as the hero organization The Covenant, an evil witch hunter named Seventh Son, and The Crone (AKA Babba Yoga). There are several teams of villains, and my personal favorite is The Prometheans, powerful group of geneticly engineneed villains, who live on the moon with their "father, Dr. Prometheus. And you rally have to see Hells Belles.
  8. Re: The Algernon Files come to Hero!!! Blackwyrm is taking pre-orders over on thier site.
  9. Re: The Algernon Files come to Hero!!! Also, Blackwyrm has been kind enough to create a message board over on their site at http://www.blackwyrmgames.com/forum Swing by, register and post your questions on their upcoming line of Champions products.
  10. Oh..Oh Whooops...This is what happens when you try to read things before you are really awake.
  11. The Island of Doctor Destroyer was for Villains and VIgalantes, but it was a fun little adventure.
  12. OK people, I've been gone for a while and figured I'd jump back in with something fun. What do you think is the best Champions poduct and why? My personal favorite is The Zodiac Conspiracy with Psi coming in close second. The villains in the Zodiac Conspiracy are well developed and function better than some of the player teams I've known. The background info can be easily dropped into any campaign, and the color artwork is great.
  13. OK peoples, I've got pretty good responses to my last few posts, so here's another one. What's your favorite moment while playeing champions? Mine happended when I had one of the players introduce a new character. The "hero" was actually a plant placed there by one of palyers major foes to gain info on them. We worked out everything in advance, and I had the guy betray them in the misdst of a major battle with the villain. Worked out better than I expected. No one thought about checking the "heros" creds before excepting him into the group.
  14. Favorite villain(s) The Coriolis Effect was a good module. The 7 Horsemen were fun to run against a heros whos egos had got a litle to big. especially one who were used to mopping the floor with villains NPC goon squads. Another thing I lked was that it looks like they actually did a little research on Norway's special forces units.
  15. Thinking back on my many years of gaming, there have been a few low points. What's your worst experience during a game?
  16. OK, I've put a up a message board dealing with superheros, comics, animation, etc. I'd like for you guys to stop by, check it out, and give me your opinion on it. It's at: http://pub151.ezboard.com/bsuperworld12090
  17. For some reason I've never liked Dr. D. Not sure why though. Foxbat, on the other hand, is great for getting on players nerves, ecspecially if you have a player that tends to fly off the handle when his character is "picked on":D . Yeah, I know it's mean but this guy was a constant pain in th butt when he played so I went out of my way to make things difficult for his character. If he planned a picnic, it would rain; his NPC dependents were constantly being kidnapped, mugged, fired from their jobs. (damn the bad luck...he he he). A few more old stand bys, like Howler, Pulsar, and Lady Blue showed up a lot. The rest of my villains were usually my creation. Almost forgot about PSI, and the VOICE. I really never got into Viper, Demon, or Genocide. I still need to pick up CKC, and compair them with my old copy of Classic Enemies.
  18. New to the site, but an old time Champions player ( I still have my well worn copy of the 1st edition). Just taking a poll to see who's your favorite Villain(s) are. My personal favs are Firewing and Eurostar.
