  1. Re: Viper/Demon and organization in other fiction like them True, but he also asked for evil organizations that could sub for Viper.
  2. Re: Updating VOICE Krait's a good choice, but I'm not sure he'd leave COIL.
  3. Re: Updating VOICE Thank you for the support, but I don't want this thread to drift to much. As for my choices, I'm still debating, but I'd throw in Jade Phoenix. His background, personality, and skills would seem to be a good match for the gorup. White Rhino would also be a good fit for the same reasons. Plus he's also something of a local hero.
  4. Re: Updating VOICE Everything is on hold. My National Guard unit had it's deployment schedule shifted, and were leaving earlier than I thought (This Friday, June 1st), for a year long deployment to the Sand Box. So, things are on hold till I return.
  5. Re: Viper/Demon and organization in other fiction like them Hmm...lets see. On the DC side of the house, The Church of Blood would fit nice, especially now that they've made Trigon the demon that they worship. And how could any of you forget the Hellfire Club?
  6. Re: Updating VOICE That was my first thought also. I'd just like to know who you guys would make as your selections and why you chose them.
  7. Reading over a couple of other threads got me thinking. With the publication of several new books, and new villains running around, who do you think would be prime candidates for recruitment into VOICE? And more importantly, why?
  8. Re: Titan Corporation Thanks for the compliments. I'm in the process of writing a familiy history for the Stones, and how the Titan Corp. interacts with various other companies and world governments.
  9. Okay, I'm not to keen on the 5e version of the Champions, and I'm wondering if you ran the show, what would your line-up of the team look like? Would you bring back seom of the classics (Marksman, Crusader, etc.), revamp some of the current members, or bring in new members from the current CU?
  10. Re: The Bureau of Special Investigations - long Actually the second "A" stands for Agency. They're the good folks that provide the US military with all the new high-tech gear and weapons (well them and the various other military R&D centers NAVSEA, RD&E, Night Vision Labs, etc.). Lately DARPA's been working with the US Dept. of Energy on a number of leass lethal and Directed Energy Weapons (EMP, High-Energy Lasers, Microwave weapons, just to mention a few.), but I could see them being involved in reasearch into the various abilities. Also the CIA was heavily envolved in "remote viewing" (Clairvoyance) research as an intelligence gathering asset. So they might run a seperate program from the military.
  11. Re: The Bureau of Special Investigations - long Instead of NORAD, I'd just go with the Dept. of Defense as that's who NORAD works for. How realistic do you want your campaign? Very real as in something like Heroes, What I'd call "action movie" reality (say something like James Bond), or "comic book reality" ? Also, what intel agencies (CIA, NSC, etc.) or military units (DIA, NSA, ONI, etc.) would you like info on, I can provide you with a lot of background material for real world agencies and units.
  12. Re: Titan Corporation Check your box.
  13. Re: IST San Angelo, version 4.0 Hint, hint. Seriously though, if you guys want to see more SA material, please take a minute, swing by the site, and let them know it. I for one would really like to see an update of some type and Enemies of San Angelo 2.0
  14. Re: IST San Angelo, version 4.0 Mark, you planning on swinging by the SA forum over on the GRG site in the near future? Things are starting to pick up again.
  15. Re: The Bureau of Special Investigations - long Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it.
  16. Re: The Bureau of Special Investigations - long I added a few additional paragraphs of info to the time line, and that brings them up to early 2006.
  17. Re: Titan Corporation Fell free to send me whatever you like. I'll credit you as the original creator for story. I'll pick out the elements I'd liketo use, and incoporate them into Mr. Stone's family's rather "colorful" history. I'd like to make one change though. Insted of him being a cavalryman in the US Cavalry, I'll probably make him a Confederate Cavalryman, as it would fit better with his family history.
  18. Re: Titan Corporation Why not both?
  19. Re: Titan Corporation Actually I could actually incoporate that into his background.
  20. For some reason, I never posted this here. It's a little info on the Titan Corp., my big bad mega company. TITAN CORP. "Bringing you a better future today." The Titan Corporation is a multinational conglomerate based in the Pacific Northwest of the US. The company has its hands in shipping, construction, lumber, energy production (oil, natural gas, coal, and nuclear power), and chemical manufacturing. It's run by a multi-billionaire, and financial genius, Lazarus Stone. It currently maintains corporate offices in Boston, New York, Washington D.C., Miami, Houston, New Orleans, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Kansas City, London, and Bonn. Titan Corporation subsidiaries include: Titan Shipping - Based in Seattle, WA Titan Energy Services - Based in Houston, TX Titan Chemicals - Based in Corpis Christi, TX Titan Construction - Based in Portland, OR New Dominion Power - A nuclear power facility in Idaho The company has been accused of a wide range of crimes including illegal dumping, government kick-backs, bribing politicians, and even murder, but due to its political connections nothings ever stuck. In reality the company is as dirty as it gets. They will due anything to make or save a buck. Lazarus never get personally involved in most of company’s criminal activities, leaving that to his underlings. Much of the company's dirty work is handled by its Chief of Security, Miles Stevens. Stevens is a former US Army military intelligence officer who was discharged for conduct unbecoming an officer (he was alleged to have been involved in the torture of several terror suspects), but do to his extensive contacts, he was quickly hired by Titan's Office of Safeguards and Security. Within a few short years he'd worked (read bullied, blackmailed, etc.) his way into the Directors position. Miles has made a lot of enemies on rise to the top, but he literally also knows where all the bodies are buried. His security staff extremely efficient at digging up dirt, and has managed to collect incriminating evidence on a number of high ranking government officials. Miles is also the company's link with some of the less savory elements they deal with. If there's a problem that can't be dealt with in the normal fashion (bribes, blackmail, of the books campaign contributions, etc.), then Miles will step in an handle it. He's the primary contact with the contract villains on Titan's payroll. He's recently been considering making use of the mercenary firm, MERC, in some of their overseas operations, as certain governments are not quite willing to comply with Titan's global vision or business plan. The company routinely employs low level villains such as Killshot (think a female version of Deadshot), Jaq & Jill (a male female team of assassins), and Pretty Poison. Jaq’s a former mafia enforcer and semi-pro wrestler who uses drugs to increase his strength, and Jill is a former child prostitute who’s now a skilled acrobat and martial artists. The two are lovers and always work together. Pretty Poison is a very attractive female assassin who uses poisoned fingernails, and a poisonous kiss to kill her victims.

Re: Merc Here's a little background info on several of the powered operatives employed by MERC's Special Operations Division. Deadeye - A bow welding assassin with a cybernetic right eye. At various times in the past he’s worked for the KGB, East German Stassi, the Libyans, and the PLO. It was during one of his PLO contract jobs that he lost his right eye to a well placed Israeli bullet. Hammer- A former Soviet "super soldier", and member of the Soviet super team the Red Vanguard, with super human strength, and the ability to releases massive concussive shockwave when he strikes a solid object. With the end of the cold war, he’s become a high priced mercenary, selling his services to anyone willing to pay his price. Salvo (Roy McFadden) - A former US Marine who volunteered to test a new battle-armor design for Prometheus. During its initial test run, the armor malfunctioned, partially grafting itself to McFadden. McFadden, angry at his employers eventually defected to MERC, taking the armor with him. The armor is equipped with a wide range of heavy weapons systems, including heat seeking and radar guided "micro missile launchers, and a "scatter gun" that fires explosive pellets. Steel Wolf - The mercenary known as Steel Wolf, is a former member of the KGB’s Al’fa counter-terror unit. After he was severely injured by a Chechen suicide bomber, he volunteered to undergo an experimental cybernetic “enhancement” process. Unfortunately for him, the program was based on information stolen from several US research labs, and the scientists conducting his operation didn’t fully understand it. While the experiment was deemed a “success”, the results were not fully satisfactory. The enhancements allow him to boost his strength, speed, and reflexes to superhuman levels for short periods of time, but the process levels him exhausted. He also heals much faster than a normal human, and is resistant to conditions that others would not be able to tolerate. After completing an extensive testing period, Steel Wolf made his public debut fighting along side of Russian special purpose forces in Chechnya. Rapidly growing disillusioned with the war, he eventually deserted and disappeared for several years. He next appeared as the super-powered mercenary, Steel Wolf, operating in the former Yugoslavia as an enforcer for the Russain Mafia. More to follow.
  23. Re: The Bureau of Special Investigations - long Since there is no actual site (the link is just part of the write-up, along with the bogus phone number), I can see where you may have run into a problem.

Re: Merc Okay, I updated the MERC background info, and here's some additional info on MERC’s Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is currently composed of nine members. Warren J. Harding III - A former US Army Ranger who was dishonorably discharged for reportedly providing paramilitary training to several organized crime groups. Thanks to his family’s pull (they own Harding shipping, one of the largest shipping companies in the US), the entire incident was hushed up. “Major” Jerry Nottingham - A former Canadian Forces Major who was discharged for abusing prisoners during a UN peacekeeping mission. Currently the president of Strategic Security Services, International (S3I). Henri Blanchard - A Corsican arms dealer, he has extensive contacts with various European underworld families. He’s currently wanted in France and Spain for supplying weapons to ETA, and the UK for supplying weapons to the IRA. Aleksandr Drevnerussky - A former KGB operative rumored to have extensive contact with the Russian mafia. He still has strong ties to the current leadership of the FSB, Interior Ministry, and the Protectorate (Russia's official super team). Bryan de Klerk - A former South African Recce Commando and BOSS operative. He's the Current president and CEO of Command and Control (C2). C2 is rumored to be involved in everything from providing security for companies mining "conflict diamonds" to providing body guards to various dictators and strongmen. Shamir Levi - A former Israeli Mossad agent, now operating as a mercenary. He’s wanted in Israel for his involvement in money laundering, embezzlement, and gun running scheme. He's rumored to have provided the bodyguard training to many members of the Colombain and Mexican cocaine cartels. Hans Kruger - A former intelligence operative for the East German Stasi. He has many contacts in the former Eastern Europe and with the various criminal organizations operating in them. Col. Jason “Jack” Roach - A former officer with the Parachute Regiment. He has extensive service as a “military advisor” to several African countries. He’s reportedly been involved in several war crimes, but no solid evidence has ever been turned up against him. Kanaye Watanabe - The former Japanese super villain “Steel Warrior”. He currently specializes in providing “highpower” (metahuman) muscle to the various Yakuza families. General Ali Mohammed Al-Barak - A former officer in the Egyptian Army’s Special Forces reportedly with extensive ties to several middle eastern extremist groups, and criminal organizations. I'd like to hear what you guys think of this stuff so far.
  25. Re: The Bureau of Special Investigations - long After many moons, I've finally gotten around to updating the BSI time line. Take a look and let me know hat you think of it. I'll also be posting info on MERC, and Prometheus in the near future.
