  1. Question 0: Should you replicate it at all? D&D is a setting where Revival magic and even "I'll be back" effects are very commonplace. The Vorpal sword had a pretty high "Bonus equivalency cost". So it was a high level item. A item for a time when Revival was avalible for everyone. Question 1: The "natural 20 only + confirm" part means "5% per attack, if the attack hits". Either roll a D20 with every attack or map the propability to a 3D6 roll: 14+ is a 6.94% 15+ is a 4.62% Mechanics wise, this weapon has a "Instant Death" effect. D&D has a number of those on the higher levels, but Hero lacks those by design. If you are the GM, you could propably add one using the "Absolute Effect Rule" (6E1 133). I adivse against having such a effect, but I still needed to mention it for completeness. Just any high enough damage or a continuation of the disable and impairment rules could do it. Somebody else mentioned using the Hit Locations. If the campaign does use Hit locations, adding "OCV, only for a called shoot for the head" or PSL to aim for the head would do some serious damage at x2 killing body. If the game does not use hit Locations, what you need to go for is just a plain bunch of extra DC to add to the attack (in case the activation roll succeeded) Even without a guaranteed death effect, that amount of Body damage will propably get you way into bleeding territory.
  2. And even with that atempted explanation, it makes no sense. Shape Shift the power only allows you to change your size or weight +/-10%. Fitting through small holes is not a part of Shape Shift the power. Maybe it once was in 4E or before, but 5E and 6E it is not. So I am utterly at a loss what "pass through a small hole" has to do in that sentence.
  3. This is a "I wish you into the Cornfield" effect. EDM, Useable as attack is the direct choice. But I loathe applying UAA on any movement power. Much less on Extra Dimensional Movement. Personally I think what might be more balanced would be Severe Transform. This is a effect wich is just shy of death (in how debilitating it is). Severe Transform covers a effect that is "just shy of death": "Turning a person into a stone statue or an animal" Trap the Soul turns the target into a gem, rather then a stone statue. Healing by breaking the gem.
  4. Took me a few tries to notice the i was also lit up. Then it suddenly made sense.
  5. That is not a very cute thing to say. I fear I am missing something.
  6. We can not argue if you keep putting unwanted things into my mouth/keyboard. I thought that was a basis of human communicaiton everyone agreed on? I need willfull missinterpretation to follow your argumentation there. Except I do not use any percentange or equivalent language at any point. That is something you made up. And I instantly refuted. And you keep insiting on none the less.
  7. No I am honestly not sure what you are talking about. Except that is the same kind of question it always was. You get 1 Alternate Form. With it costing more to have more forms. Passing through small holes in barriers is Desolidification or Shrinking. You seem to be mixing up Shapeshifting the SFX and Shapeshift the Power. And again you are mixing up the SFX and the Power. That is just not a point to start a Hero Rules discussion. If you can not accept that simple seperation, there is no basis to even start a discussion. What is it with those completely overspecific examples? Shape Shift like all Sense Affecting powers deals with whole Sense Groups by default. Limiting it down to specific senses is at best a minor Limitation. At worst a -0. A very common example are Shape Shift (and Invisibility) that Covers sight, but not smell. Examples like: Star Trek Hologryphic Disguises Any disguise/stealth Skill in a Command and Coqnuer Mystiques Shape Shifting in X-Men (2000); but not the one in the followup film. In your mind for some reason those require a completely different power, rather then just Shape Shift that covers less Sense Groups.
  8. Hm, quite the Thread Necro you did there. Look out that the Thread does not develop a taste for Palindromedaries An odd combination. Snakes in nature are normally constrictor or poision type, not both. While you can of course combine those two powers, that might make the build way too expensive. Even constructor snakes will still use their bite to inject saliva for pre-digestion. But then so do humans and all other species with saliva. For constrictors the bite/saliva it is not a major killing way. They use the other approach to make the target immobile. Basically there are 3 viable snake builds in nature and it might help if you follow only one of those rather then trying to combine them. There is a certain point cost balance inherent in nature: With magic, additional options present themself. I remember a Fey Realm snake that immobilized it's target with a Paralyzing Fear effect. CV penalties with Grabbing are Complicated. The Grabber has full OCV against the Grabee. While the Grabee has -3 OCV against the Grabber. Both have 1/2 DCV and 1/2 OCV against targets outside the grab. You can build then Venon and ht Bite as seperate attack powers that are linked. If so you can use both as a Combined attack - wich is a form of strike.
  9. Episode 3, some more thing I noticed: Both have superhuman durability, as they survived being thrown at least 100 meters by a wind strong enough to move cars. Both can do the "run on walls" thing. they can rotate the LB JoJo/CN Staff in a attempt to create a shield. Either a barrier power, or a attack power using the Contest of Power rules from APG I 174. LB's is noticably stronger, capable of burning through a busses side when CN did not even try. Cat Noir has Night Vision. It is possible Cataclysm also increases CNs speed drastically. At least he has the higher DCV of the two, as he was only really hit with AoE or Spread attacks this episode. Lucky Charm has a series of effects: 1. Create a seemingly random item. 2. Grant LadyBug Vision of how to use it - possibly in conjuction with Cat Noir. 3. Execute said maneuver flawlessly wich results in the akuma being released 4. Cleanse the Akuma 5. Throwing the Item created under 1 into the air, where it turns into magic power that will undo any lasting effects of the "villain of the week". Episode 1 had a sligh variation however. As her goal was not to defeat the villain, but stop Adrian from slowdancing with her romantic rival. So at least here intention when she invokes the lucky charm maters to what she gets.
  10. There used to be a bug with Videos. If you open a spoiler range, post a video and then try to close the spoiler it does not stick. The spoiler just went on for the rest of the post. Apparently spoiler tags are not actualyl supported by this Forum Software, and Simon had to back port them.
  11. I watched "Ralph Breaks the Internet". A intersting take one the whole social media thing. Also a warning to never go into the comment section... And yes, the after credits scene totally got me.
  12. Did this happen in the state of the Gouvernator?
  13. Happened to me too once. I wanted to go towards Hanover. I ended up going towards Hamburg, wich is a coastal city. But at least two letters were the same
  14. I am pretty sure it si 10 MiB per post. Wich should be plenty for a single image/post.
  15. A thief in germany burglarized a hotel. He made away with 2000 €. But he was quickly caught and he made it almost to easy. Nope, not loosing his papers or anthing. I thought that at first too. He had just made the tiny mistake of doing this after it had freshly snowed. While tracking is not a skill taught in police school anymore, tracking those shoe prints before most people were awake did not require special skill. And he had stolen a purse, so even a cursory look in his home was enough for the police.
  16. Defenders "Helmet" is more on the line of a "Green Lantern Mask" then a Iron Man armor. And the rest of his armor is form fitting as well.
  17. New Users were going through 1100 pages of old "Funny Pictures" content? I rank that between "unlikely" and "figuratively your trousers are on fire". Especially as I was a new user when the thread was already long running and I did not do anything like that.
  18. To my understanding you are arguing in favor of Hughs idea. If you do not know what Idea you argue in favor off, please specify it. No. And I demand a quote of what sentence got you that idea. Because I am seriously tired of defending something I never said.
  19. Shape Shift is a "Sense Affecting Power". And it can be used for anything from "Physical Shape Shift", "Shape Shifting Illusion" to "I Modified the deflector grid so for longrange sensors we appear as a Koberian Freighter". That is just the most sensical thing to do, IMHO. It is one of those things that I read and thought "huh, that makes perfect sense. Why did I never think about it that way?"
  20. Something about driving a car seems to bring out the worst in us. Back when I was still a young driver and GPS/Navigation was not in every mobile phone, in ended up not properly planning my drives to new locations. With the results of me getting lost. Wich oddly lead to me blaming the city planers to not put up enough signs with streetnames. A wierd deflection mechanism I had there.
  21. Simon apparently had to delete the old thread entirely. It was that broken.
  22. At some point it becomes just tedious to write down all of those contacts, favors and languages. APG I 's Resource points (wich are a generalisation of the Equipment Pools many GM's used) has room for Contacts in the Contact/Follower pool. Favors might fit into the Miscelanoues or Contact Pool. Langauges either in a Language VPP, Universal Translator Talent, or the Misc Pool as well.
  23. FYI, multiple attack might not be nessesary (to that degree) if we allow shoots that pass through to hit more then one Character. Overpenetration is a well known thing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stopping_power#Overpenetration And a rifle on short range has the power nesseary, unless it hits bone.
  24. That is exactly what I mean with "it is a Soft Cap".
