I just didn't want to over promise with multiple systems. The crunchiness of HERO will require a fair bit of layout work and an increased page count. If the Savage Worlds version funds and after delivery of that, I will certainly look at a HERO conversion project. If it doesn't fund, I'll have to reconsider my plans in full. Over the years, I have posted on the Hero Games forums about my Champions game and a potential spin-off called Secret Agents of CROSS. I have finally pulled parts of all that to make a modern spy game called Secret Agents of CROSS. Unfortunately, this is for Savage Worlds rather than Hero System, but I'm sure folks will see hero System at the heart of many of my character designs and additional rules. Catholic Response Organization to Strategize and Strike

I am opening a new thread as things are progressing at a decent rate on this project now. This is a continuation of an old mostly unnecessary to read threat: http://www.herogames.com/forums/topic/86228-cross-secret-agents-of-the-vatican-source-book/ I hear the book has changed names. You heard right, it is called Secret Agents of CROSS and it now has a logo so there is no going back. What is Secret Agents of CROSS, you ask? Here is the shortest possible description: Secret Agents of CROSS is a tabletop RPG where agents are tasked to stop terrorists, ancient evils and recover dangerous artifacts. Besides the logo is there any other interesting news? Sure. We have also taken on a regular artist and a second writer to help me move things forward. One new facet of the project is that my new writer writes a lot of material in Savage Worlds so we will be creating two separate editions of CROSS with one still being HERO System and the other being Savage Worlds. Is that it? Goodness no, but a good spy has to have patience. Stay tuned for the next .communiqué. --end transmission--

Assuming a character has a decent Background narrative, and good Power and Complication descriptions, do you feel that the other Background sections: Personality, Quote, Power/tactics, Campaign Use and Appearance are very useful? Often I feel they end up repeating aspects of the Background description especially Personality and Campaign use. Also, if there is a picture then the Appearance is likely repetitive. So that leaves Power/Tactics as potentially valuable and the Quote as fun if the creator puts some thought into it. Anyone have any comments on this? Pete

Strike Force should have its own Kickstarter. It will be a big mistake to not use the kickstarter marketing machine for a nostalgic relaunch of a beloved property. It has many qualities that could generate a response that way over funds it and provides its own ongoing future. Pete
