  1. Re: What would your character do #~75 Husky and Kenneth would probably use science (to access the supernatural) and charm (cause that's what Husky does) to get the deal anulled.
  2. Re: A contriversial "Would your character...?" Husky is male but he still might be able to pull of conception with Kenneth's help via an artificial womb. Husky (and even Kenneth) would probably be willing to produce hybred offspring fully expecting to be able to tailor the results to be a completely normal child. Husky would probably negotiate a better deal though involving the villain voluntary incarcerating themselves and no physical intimacy would take place. Now if it's an attractive villainess the scenario is much different since Husky would just "Do it"
  3. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #73 Husky was probably the one who figured out the nature of the device in the first place (while locked in his lab and transformed in Kenneth) so he'll hand out nicely typed dossiers (made by Kenneth before changing back into Husky and coming out of the lab) and tell the rest of Leviathan 5 what they'll be dealing with and offer a detailed tactical plan.
  4. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #69 Add the data to the files at the Fortress of Huskitude and then hand them over to the Feds to help prosecute VIPER.
  5. Re: What Would You Do?? #76 Husky will delight in the role of demi-god/legendary hero while Kenneth studies the secrets of magic and attempts to design a way to return home.
  6. Re: What would your character do...#78: It's Good To Be King? Husky would be an excellent diplomat and while secreted away in royal chambers as Kenneth he'd design the world's best meritocracy; an amazing constitution accomplishing a true rule of law; and a legal code that for all intensive purposes is "lawyer proof." He'd then outfit the military with high tech defenses and non-lethal weaponry. The nation would flourish under super science advancements in agriculture and industry with no corporate influence. Husky would be an amazing world leader with his own alter ego serving as the advisor behind the scenes. With Husky's amazing leadership and Kenneth's amazing intellect the nation will become a shining pillar of human achievment. Husky will be slightly disheartened since ruling will get in the way of adventuring but at the same time the responsibility of being a world leader is just the kind of thing Kenneth needs to break his escapist habit of being Husky.
  7. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #68 Husky probably died earlier but if he survived the voluntary coup it wouldn't change him much. Husky doesn't care about politics he fights for what's right if tha means fighting the world's dictator he'll do it no matter who made what kind of deal.
  8. Re: Would your character... Since Husky runs around in nothing more than a pair of pants and high tech gauntlets he'd have no problem. Kenneth would even be okay with it since Husky is pure primal machismo as envisioned by a socially stunted child super genius.
  9. Re: What would your character do? #71 Husky would befriend any natives as a gaurdian and protector. Under Kenneth's super intellectual guidance he may be responsible for the legendary pre-historic civilization of Atlantis but I'd say there's a good chance he'd build a time machine out of coconuts since that's the type of thing he's good at.
  10. Re: What would your character do? #70 Husky would instruct Sidekick to stabilize the victim and then go off and beat up the demon. After defeating the demon he'd pick up Sidekick and transform into Kenneth. Kenneth would hit the lab and examine the data collected by Husky's gauntlets and Sidekick. While magic intrigues him he prefers to stick to science.
  11. Re: What Would Your Character #72 (or so) Husky would never betray his team (even the ones he doesn't trust with his secret ID). Now later when he transforms into Kenneth things will be different. Kenneth will launch a deep investigation of the both his own team and the "superior" team.
  12. Re: Mystery Disad? What the....?! The character was super powered child who didn't know his real origin but the teams main villain kept trying to capture him and claimed to be his father. A demonic female who claimed to be his mother kept showing up and trying to kill him but always stayed at range. His mystery disadvantage. If he touched his mother he turned into a giant Cthulhu like monster with an animal intellect (his mother turned into a Godzilla knock off). His "dad" had captured his demonic mother and intended to harness the power of their offspring for his own nefarious plans. Mechanically I built the monster as a multiform based on the points of the mystery disadvantage with flaws like triggered and No Conscious control.
  13. Re: What would your heroes do about this...? Husky would pretend he heard nothing of it. His world is black and white good and evil and he avoids any murky issues of morality versus patriotism. He's going to pretend nothing happened unless he's drawn in on a very personal level and then he's going to act like the bravado infused unstoppable brick he is. He'll stop the people who are hurting others but he's not going to do anything like go looking for atrocities or even check up on the people he stopped. Kenneth would agaonize over the intellectual arguement and then take a dose of Husky serum to get away from his conflicted overactive mind.
  14. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? You only roll 1 die a single d20 no damage roll is made just a damage save. It's like applying the fixed advatntage to all attacks and then combining PD/ED/MD/PD with Body and Stun. It's very streamlined in HERO terms. Too streamlined in my opinion for most genres but at least in our group it plays excellently for 4 color supers. I do think HERO is the best cross genre game out there if I want to put together a new setting I go to HERO first because everything is standardized but that doesn't mean it always fits the specific genre best. For instance I think HERO is better for espionage than Spycraft or even D20 modern. But D20 Modern is a pretty good action adventure movie engine.
  15. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? You should really read MnM before making statements like this. There are no classes in MnM. (There also aren't races; or spells; or hit points; or subdual damage; or attacks of opporunity, or several other things you seem to "assume" it has.) And Hero doesn't have a damage system that is based on relative severity of attack allowing for quick knockout between equally matched foes with very little book keeping or a ingenious "minion" mechanic that seems to perfectly simulate mook fights. Your stereotyping D20 is no better than other people stereotyping HERO. If you want to encourage an open minded gaming community then lead by example and offer informed observations instead of off the cuff assumptions.
  16. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? My experience matches Victim's statement. I find it interesting comparing the systems though that HERO has multiform and summoning which MnM doesn't on the other hand I think MnM has a much better basic duplication power.
  17. Re: Character Background Help So what is his motivation? Like Joker is he trying to pull off the ultimate joke? Is he "dancing macabre" in an attempt to teach people something? Does he not realize he's murdering people? Or is he just a sociopath who would be just as happy with a lumberjack motiff but he thought of clowns first?
  18. Re: Character Background Help Just to clarify. You want a background for a clown motif villain? May I ask why you decided that a clown motif would be the first defining feature of this character? Have you defined any other features like motive or power sets?
  19. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? MnM only needs 1 die. (it really is different from what most people think of as "d20")
  20. Re: M&M: this is a Nightmare? Personally I love HERO for every genre but Superheroics. I used to love it for Superheroics until I read MnM. I feel it is every bit as flexible as Champions when it comes to emulating Super Comics. The similarities between the two are often stunning. Superheroics may be what made HERO famous but it's real strength is it's truly universal aspect.
  21. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #66 Husky could easily be the one being manipulated. He not going to think anything of it except "Gosh what a nice lady." Now after he changes into Kenneth things change. Kenneth will recall the incident with suspicion and check the gauntlets passive scans for more clues. He'll then try to develop a temporary defense for Husky and incorporate it into the gauntlets.
  22. Re: What would your character do (65?) -Recruiting pitch If he saw it first Husky would rush to sign up as soon as he saw the newsclip. Kenneth would then scramble to protect Husky's true nature and generate more evidence that Husky is an Alien from a dead world. The Super genius side of Kenneth will fear the complications of being part of a team. The socially inept teenager side will be overjoyed about belonging to something.
  23. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #64: Shooting Star When Husky went home to rest and changed into Kenneth. Kenneth would throw it into overdrive and check his city surviellance system and analyze the passive data collected by Husky's gauntlets. Before changing into Husky again he'd have incorporated a universal translator into the gauntlets. Husky witnessing the assault would tackle the Hero and pry the gauntlet off as quickly as possible. He'd offer for the alien to surrender expecting the translator to work perfectly. If the alien doesn't immediately surrender (whether the translator is effective ornot) Husky will forcefully subdue the alien.
  24. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #63
  25. Re: What would you character do... Since they've killed people on purpose Husky will be ready to oppose them. He'd probably change into Kenneth intending to be outfitted with some high tech armaments. Kenneth, realizing direct confrontation would be dangerous (even as Husky), would try to develop some kind of military plan and provide said plan to other Heroes. The trouble will be creating a plan that allows Husky to appear central while not requiring him to make any vital decisions. He'll also design and fabricate specialized weapons to take down the opposition. Once the plan was in motion he'd change into Husky. Husky would probably disregard his role in the plan and attack head on. Husky will then take a severe beating. But Husky never stays down.
