  3. Hello Folks, Ive been making up my Magic system for my upcoming Fantasy game and am at an impass. Now ive been putting different disads onto the other types of Magic I'm using but am unsure how to write up what I want for Necromancy. Now what I was thinking of is for Necromancy to have a side effect of a major transform i.e "Living to dead" because of the Death Magic they are channeling thru there body unless they have a suitable Focus or End Reserve i.e the poor Sacrificial Victim. Also this will mainly be used by my villians, but I want something that I can show my players without enraging my rule lawyers.
  4. Re: Campaign Log Turakian Chronicles Sorry for not posting more in awhile thingshave been busy 13th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. That Morning Chen lin as party treasurer went out to pick up everything they needed. First she went to a horse trader by the name of Willim who gave her an honest deal of 6 horses one pony and all the tack for 218 Silver. Then she went to a general good merchant and got 30 days rations for the party and the horses for 195 silver she also got tents a couple of braziers and a supply of coal for 30 silver. Her next stop was to a furrier for some suitable winter clothing and spent another 40 silver pieces. After all of this the parties general fund was lean indeed. After this Chen lin got everything back to the Dive and the party bed down for what they hope wasn’t they’re last night indoors. 14th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. Left Kefton after breakfast to a cool but mostly sunny day made about 15 miles saw some farmers and a couple of army patrols but was very quiet. 15th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. Made good time again but weather is really starting to turn towards evening black clouds on the western horizon encountered hardly no one although the group did pass through a small village of about 60 or so people about an hour before noon. 16th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. This day passed but as mostly cloudy with a decent wind that would cut right through you. No one encountered at all looks like a storm can break at any time. 17th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. About an hour before daybreak this morning a drizzle started and the way going that day was much slower and had a miserable day altogether. 18th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. This day was very bleak cold and raining off and on the whole day the party creeped closer to Charlsburg when they stopped that evening the party figured they were within three miles of the slavers base with it now raining constantly again. Shade, Ariel, and Sarai decided to go do some scouting after a couple of hours they got to the ruined town and found it did not resemble what was described to the anymore all the Central buildings were there a Chapel ,Inn ,smithy ,and some other building but the rest of the village was dismantled and around what was left a palisade was built and in front of it was a two meter ditch that stretched the entire perimeter. After much sneaking they confirmed that there was four well armed guards and the opening to the stockade two men in chain mail with halberds one man in chain with a Broad sword and a shield, and a man in leather with a light longbow. Ariel looking through some minor breaks in the wall counted at least 17 different guards , saw a big competent looking Drakine, and saw some female slaves who were being roughly used. Amazingly Ariel and Shade who were very stealthy elected not to climb the Palisade and do some checking inside went back and told the party what they saw. After a long discussion on what was to be done the decided on a night assault Shade would stealth over the eastern palisade and take up a position out of sight inside and Ariel would do so on the Western side. Sarai and Chen Lin would sneak up and takeout the guards at the gate . Alastair and Vesna would wait mounted about 50 meters away and would charge the entrance when the fight started. 19th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. From the first the fight went bad for Sarai was detected and the alarm was sounded as the melee began our heroes tried they’re very best but as number began to tell against them they were forced to flee for their into the stormy night. After several hours evading the slavers morning came and with it good news for they ran into an army detachment and after telling them what was going on they assaulted the stockade but unfortunate those most wanted were able to flee successfully. After the second battle at the slavers stockade was finished seeing their quarry had escaped and with winter coming on very fast our heroes elected to push on east to the Lake City of Daravel for the Winter. 20th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. Party made about 20 miles today despite the weather with steady rain. 21st of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. Party made only 6 miles today for the roads were now terrible and the rain had turned to snow about midmorning. 22nd of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. Party made about 10 miles today after the snow had stopped but thing were very miserable 23rd of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. Made about 22 miles today on good roads very cold unfortunate with night fall they had to camp outside of Daravels walls for the night 24th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. Arrived in the lake city of Daraval after reporting in to the High Church Vesna and her companions found long term lodgings to pass the winter. 25th of Cispleaf 5000 S.E. through 8th of Firstthaw 5001 S.E. During the winter the party mainly stayed at home although Albert and Shade joined the Lisertha Academy in Daravel a small mage school and guild in daraval and did much studying . Nick after learning the ways of the streets in daraval learned more about the ways of poison making. As spring was just around the corner they’re came rumors of Orcs Raiding far into vestria from the grey mountains and rumors of War that forces in Khirkovy were on the move. Also it seemed that to noble families The Norbert’s and the Justicano both powerful barons sworn the duke of Daraval were fighting amongst themselves. 9th of Firstthaw 5001 S.E. Things had been very quiet that winter but unfortunately things were not to stay that way early that night Albert and Sarai who had been sharing a room were woken by movement at their door . They drew their weapons and waited and whomever was at their door moved off. Quietly the opened the door and found a dead and bloody cat laying on the floor . Albert studied this for a moment and looked away as something tickled at the back of his memory and he heard Sarai gasp. He turned around and a shadowy grotesque horror had reared up out of the dead cat and it attacked them. After it howled it awakened everyone and the battle was see sawing back and forth between them Nick noticed something although everyone else had evacuated the floor someone hadn’t he listened to the door and heard chanting . He and Shade kicked down the door and interrupted the chanting of the person inside when this happened the creature which was beating the party into the ground disappeared into thin air . And nick and Shade cut the man down. After searching the room they found a letter in a language only Albert could understand that of his native language thunese and what he found there is that they wanted Albert alive so his soul can be fed to their foul deities. Albert wisely kept this it himself. That morning realizing it might be best to get out of town for awhile they found that mercenaries were being hired by the Duke for a punitive expedition again Orcs operating South West of Daraval they elected to sign up and were assigned to hard eyed Army Sergeant and were told they would be moving out tomorrow .

That morning Vesna and Chen Lin went out to try and get some information on the slavers in the area and maybe get a lead on Shades whereabouts. After a fruitless search Vesna and Chen Lin ran into shade in the street with a musing grin on his face. After questioning him and getting some vague answers about his where he was they went back to the Dive. As the trio was walking through the door Shade recognized someone who was sitting in the corner and this was a person who he owed a great deal on money to. As shade tried to flee vesna and Chen lin caught him and got out of shade that he owed this guy money and he’s not the type pf person you double cross. Vesna then dragged Shade over to the gentleman and introduced herself and then proceeded to haggle with the gentle man into joining the party to get out of shade what he is owed. After discovering that Shade could read Illurian which is what the captains log was in the party found that our slaver captain was doing a lot of business with Darius the Money Lender and the party decided to look into this more the next day. 11th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. The next morning while shade was off casing the moneylenders Chen Lin went to the local Apothecary who turned out to be a man named Wizzle. After acquiring some Herbs for her spells she got identified the two potion the party had picked up and turned out to be a partially used potion of healing and a potion of underwater comfort all this for a steep fee of 50 Crowns. After shade got back from casing the moneylender he told the party that is was a stoutly built two story building a couple of door down from Bethils Pleasure House. At this point Albert went back down there with shade and inquired about changing some money into other tender but found that Darius was not in but spoke with a Truly beautiful woman and left. Shortly after leaving he reeling that his mind had been somewhat fogged but the whole affair. After going back to the dive it was decided over Nicks objections to go in the front door and assault from their. At first it went well the party quickly fell three of the guards but the as alert was going through the door into the back of the building a howl shook the building as this inhumanly fast woman came tearing down the stairs and attacked him barely getting out of the way in time. Vesna was stunned to find that she recognized the woman she was fighting as a fellow Sister of Salea. In the Melee that followed with the creature it felled Nick and Chen lin went down after a lucky shot from behind by a remaining guard. Just as the party was truly getting the upper hand of the affair shade who had been blocking a rear exit with a force field couldn’t keep it up any longer and the creature fled. After Searching the upper story and breaking into the strong room the party was greeting to the sight of a dead child who was hung upside down and being bled out . They got a ledger that dealt with some of the dealing of the money lenders also they managed to abscond with around 200 gold before the guards showed up. The party after making a statement to the watch turned the body of the child over to the Local High Church. Vesna was commanded by Taal Riku Brust to attend him at noon the next day. That night the party after reading the ledger and looking at the map they had acquired from the captain last week found something strange . Darius had been buying and sending supplies including 30 tons of grain to a small town 50 miles northeast of kefton was strange is upon inquiry it was found this town had been abandoned twenty years ago after a outbreak of plague. 12th of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. The next day Vesna went to the temple as commanded and spoke with the Taal. The best that the priest could guess in the Childs blood was being used as a spell component of some sort they also found that the dead child was an orphan so no one noticed him. Vesna told the priest that the creature she found was one of her sister apparently twisted somehow by the black god and wanted to know if she could be freed. Taal Riku was optimistic and then commanded that Vesna go to this ruined town and destroy the cult unfortunately he could give scarce support for they were a small church .He also said he would send word to Ordellia by courier to inform her order. He then reminded Vesna that unless she goes soon the rains would turn to snow which would hamper her efforts greatly. At this point Vesna took her leave of him and returned to the Dive. Also have a new character this week a sometimes assassin on the run after killing the wrong person. swear my party is trying to make the Paladin the most unobservant Female since Lois Lane

Turakian Chronicles Players Albert Shiney : Low ranking sorcerer priest of Thun on the run for his life after stealing a medallion from a superiors work room Vesna: Sister of Salea dispatched to Vestria by her order to investigate the disappearance of three fellow sister at the Welcome Wench Sarai: Female Ulronai Mercenary just looking for a break Shade Blackcloake: Elf and Outcast from his homeland is thief with several personal problems on the run for the Thurgandian government . Chen Lin : Priest of Thon-Sa adventuring on her own is cute and acts in an anime manner. 15th of Appledore 5000 S.E. The Party for various reasons goes to the Welcome Wench while there a Drakine and two humans enter and pick a fight with the bar. While this is going on they have a fight with the party. In the immediate aftermath of the Brawl the city guard Show up and arrest the party and they are then taken to the constable and are put into jail for the Night 16th of Appledore 5000 S.E. That morning shortly after breakfast consisting of gruel and water the party is dragged before the Constable. The party is then informed that in the normal course of events the party would pay a fine and be about they’re way but this brawl has drawn attention from those above him and the party will be transferred to the Old keep . The Party is then transferred to Old Keep and Imprisoned in the dungeon. 17th of Appledore 5000 S.E. Party Remains in Prison 18th of Appledore 5000 S.E. Shortly after midnight the party is rousted out of bead and taken to an office where an unnamed noble is working at a desk . He then admonishes the party for fighting with agent of the kingdom of Thurgandia and gives the party two choices . Prison indefinitely or be sent on a mission for the crown . The noble seems to be aware of the Mission the Paladin is on but doesn’t say anything about it. The Party is told that the next night they will be smuggled out of the city where they’re will get provisions and horses and are to go to the Castle at Larnath in Colgrave and Speak to Lieutenant Eric O’Rourke for more information . The Party is then returned to their cells. 19th of Appledore 5000 S.E. Three hours after midnight the party is taken to the basement of the Old keep to entrance to the sewer under the city they are then blindfolded and escorted through the sewer to a culvert on the eastern wall along the grey spark river. They’re given the provision and horses and left on their own. After a discussion the party elects to not do the task instead go back to the welcome wench and investigate the missing of three Sisters of Salea. The part goes a couple of miles down the river road and sets up a camp around midmorning the party slips into a group of farmers going to Odellia and slips into the city. After getting back into town the party elects to sell what they were given to get funds they go to Cyrus black a horse trader near the eastern gate and sell they’re horse unfortunate being taken advantage of . The party then goes to Cyrus brother Shamus of Shamuses General Goods and sells off the food they’re were given also they were taken advantage of . The party then finds an inn called the Golden Chalice and elects to stay they’re unfortunately prejudice against the Ulronai in the group has her sleep in the Barn. The party then decides to break into the Welcome Wench very early before Opening to see if they can get some evidence of some sort. Men while the thief managed to lose all his funds in a dice game. 20th of Appledore 5000 S.E. The party mainly stayed close to the inn but Albert deciding he needed a crowbar to break into the Welcome Wench and goes to Shamuses to purchase or rent one . Not liking the price he was offered he cast his spell Howl of terror and terrorizes the Shop keep into renting the crowbar to him for 2 Pennies. After that whistling her returns to the inn. 21st of Appledore 5000 S.E. Early that morning the party sneaks down to the docks where the welcome wench stands evading the guards that constantly watch it to go to an ally in the back . Someone is seen watching the party from the roof but the party in unable to find out who . When the get to the back door the find it open and cant hear any thing coming from with in . They enter the building into the kitchen area and do a quick but silent search but are unable to fins the tavern keep. They then elect to search the cellar and while searching around the kegs and barrels they find a large barrel on its side where the tops comes out and reveals are small passage going back several yards. They go through and find a smugglers areas and a hidden entrance into the sewer system . While searching the room the find a small chest containing money and a ledger record Edina language no one in the party can read. Taking the money and the ledger the descend into the sewer and go in the direction they think the port lays. After going around 200 to 300 yards the party find the body of the tavern keep of the welcome wench with his throat slit. Albert estimates that he’s been dead for at least a day .Upon leaving the sewer in the port area the party is immediately ambushed by a group of footpads and after a brief skirmish in which the leader of the footpads escape the part Fells the vermin. The part takes one of the fallen thugs and takes him to an alley near the port an interrogates him . After threatening the thief he tells the party what he knows which is not much. He tells him that his friend Bob hired him to kill the party but capture Vesna alive he doesn’t know anything else. The party leaves him tied up in the alley but shortly after leaving Albert leaves the party doubles back and then throws the thugs into the bay still tied up . 22nd of Appledore 5000 S.E. After resting for the Night the party decides to see if they can find someone who can decipher the ledger for them after questioning around they’re directed to the Sage Fistoon. After finding his shop on Stag street . They find Fistoon is very old and a little senile . After along conversation trying to get him onto track the party finds that the language is written in High Illurian . The party finds that the welcome wench is being used for smuggling and slave trading being sent to a group operating in the Kefton areas with further shipment to unknown areas. Also thy find that the Three missing Paladins were sent to Kefton . Also what is found is some receipts for 200 tons wine that was apparently shipped into Grayward Mountains. But what is strange is that the price for the wine is absurdly high. Further more its found that a group of 6 salves are ready to be sent by ship to Kefton in three days . The Party returns to the Golden Chalice and decides that they need to find out what ships are going to Kefton and somehow get upon the slave Ship . 23rd of Appledore 5000 S.E. That morning Albert and Sarai go to the port authority in Odellia to see what info there is to be had. After bribing to port official they get a look at the departure times and see that two ships are scheduled to leave for Kefton on the Morning Tide the Dawn Trader and the Morrison. seeing that the Morrison is supposed to shipping 200 tons of Iron the group gets suspicious and decides to see if they can get aboard the Ship. They go to the Ship and talk with the first mate they’re informed that the passenger cabins are already booked but if they wants the can get Deck Passage the part agrees and they informed to be back but morning tide or be left behind . The party goes back to the Golden Chalice to spend they’re last night in Odellia. 24th of Appledore 5000 S.E. The party gets to the ship with Shade getting their just before cast off casting nervous looks behind them the party is then told to stay out of the way and that meals are in the morning and at night. Curiously the party doesn’t get a look at the other passengers. 25th of Appledore 5000 S.E. Early that night Chen Lin and Sarai search the parts of the ship they can . While in the hold the find that the dimensions are wrong but cant find an d entrance into a hidden compartment. Later that day the party finally gets a look at the other passengers one is a Troll and the other is a cruel looking human about 6’2” with black hair apparently he is well known to the captain. 26th of Appledore 5000 S.E. The party hears the crew starting to complain about a thief on board and that night the find the Elf and make him return everything he has been taking . 27th of Appledore 5000 S.E. Early that day the group is talking about what they want to do while discussing the feasibility of searching the humans room shade entered the room and starts taking things . Chen Lin spot him and follows him into the cabin and proceeds to read him the riot act about placing the party in danger. While getting Shade to put everything back where he found it he shows Chen Lin a tambourine and asks if he has to out this back Chen Lin ask’s if he got it there and Shade says no so Chen Lin asks where he got it and Shade says the hidden place Chen Lin missing this signal tells him to keep the tambourine and the leave the cabin. Later that evening while at dinner Chen Lin slips away to do another search of the hold. While looking she hears some talking and traces it to what appears to be an air hole into a hidden room she hears two people talking about how late tonight they would rendezvous with the other ship and they’d get the bounty placed on that paladin on board. Realizing the danger they were in Chen Lin immediately informed the others The party decided to strike first they would wait till after most of the crew went to bed and they would break into the passenger cabins and take out the passengers then the crew . 28th of Appledore 5000 S.E. About 10 minutes before the party was ready to start the assault the captain came up and took the quarter deck which to the party was a big sign. The party got ready and simultaneously hit both cabins Albert cast a spell and knocked down the door to the Trolls cabin but when Vesna went to take out the other door it held. Chen lin the attempted to go through Albert standing in the doorway to the trolls room and tripped over him knocking them both to the ground. Shade casted a spell and set a Force was across the quarter deck and covering the entrance down into the crew quarters Casting could be heard coming from the other Cabin. Our troll Stood up with a big toothy grin and picked up a chair. Chen lin then was able to disentangle herself from Albert and proceeded to go hand to hand with the troll. Meanwhile shade reach over and tried the doorknob to the other cabin which opened to an unnatural blackness . Shade then cast his own darkness spell and Vesna waited to see if anything came out. Meanwhile Chen Lin proceeded to show the troll the finer point of the Quarterstaff and beat him into the ground then amazingly enough after vanquishing him proceeded to bandage him while Albert look on disgustedly. At this Point Sarai who been skirmishing with that crew on deck managed to finish one off. And another jumped into the ship hold with a cry. After several moment when no one came out of the other room Vesna inched into the blackness feeling around and found a large hole blasted into the floor. She then left the darkness and said that their quarry escaped into the crew quarters The party then moved to the center of the ship and looked down into the hold seeing two sailors and started to cast spells at them Then the door at the forecastle opened up and arrows started flying out of the open door . At this point Chen lin Jumped into the hold plunging 4 meters onto iron ore somehow managing not to hurt herself and Saw the man now clad in chain mail holding a fearsome looking mace with the head looking like a black hand , and four archers and two swordsmen . Somehow she was still standing after this follow and scampered backup a ladder from he hold. AT this point two Swords man came out of hiding and the party cut them down the party then moved forward and found the hidden ladder down into the area that housed the slaves but unfortunately couldn’t go down in the face of archers. At this point the party decided to point the ship for shore and run it aground and they set guard on the ways up from the hold . But the enemy had plans after 5 minutes the party heard cries for mercy coming from the slave and watched as one of the women was dragged into the hold and then our heroes started to hear the sounds of chanting evidently the foul creature was going to sacrifice the woman Vesna couldn’t let this happen The party split up and decided to rush the lower deck from two sides they were able to rush down taking light damage but when the party pushed into the hold things went awry . As Vesna came into the hold the foul one stopped his ritual and cast a foul spell of Mordak which felled her .Albert cast a spell trying to fell the Cleric of Mordak to miss and hit the side of the ship putting a hole in below the water line only quick thinking by Shade using his force wall to plug the hole saved the heroes. The party with spells and swords managed to finally take down the others leaving the Evil Cleric on his own he then brought down a unnatural darkness followed shortly by the vision of water pouring out of the darkness indicating that the foul one had put another hole in the hull. Shade recast his force wall covering both holes but the minion of Mordak had escaped along with the ships captain and first mate. Our heroes managed to beach the ship before Shades strength came out and got ashore after freeing the slaves but found that they were a good 100 miles from Kefton the nearest town for them they rested for the night then pushed on. 29th of Appledore 5000 S.E. Made a good 10 miles on the coast no encounter 30th of Appledore 5000 S.E. Made a good 10 miles on the coast . Towards Mid day noticed that some people on a passing shift were paying attention to the party but failed to send a boat out to see if they needed help. 1st of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. Started to Drizzle and Temperature went South Party made 5 Miles 2nd of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. Still Drizzling the Children in the group starting to suffer still managed 5 miles 3rd of Crispleaf 5000 S.E. Stopped raining by and Large but still partially overcast . Around Noon when getting into some rough terrain the March have evidently been taking its toll for Sarai and Albert who were in the front of the party and were ambushed by archers on a nearby hill and in the trees also some swordsman were waiting for them in all 10 men were waiting for them. In the initial volley both Albert and Sarai were injured but not knocked out as the swordsman surrounded sarai Shade dropped a field of darkness around the melee to try and give some cover from the archers . Unfortunalty unprepared Sarai was unable to defend herself efficiently and was knocked out . Also this gave the archers only one target Albert who was staggered but the number of shafts loosed at him save for the quick actions of Vesna he surely would have died . Shade meanwhile brought up a force field to keep most of the archers away from him while vesna stepped in front of Albert to defend him but was in turn staggered by the fusillade. Eventually the party was able to drive off most of the archers and capture two who being Mercenaries of the worst sort agreed to work for Albert for 1 silver a day . after going another 3 miles the party found the ambusher camp abandoned . Overall party managed 6 miles that day. 4th of Crispleaf Cloudy cold intermittent rain typical of late fall party managed 10 miles children really starting to hurt 5th of Crispleaf Partly cloudy no rain managed 10 miles 6th of Crispleaf Partly Cloudy Managed 10 Miles 7th of Crispleaf Mostly Cloudy Temperature really falling at night party made 10 miles 8th of Crispleaf Mostly Cloudy Intermittent Rain Finding signs of civilization but wary of contacting people. 9th of Crispleaf Late in the afternoon the party sights Kefton while the party starts to close to town . Albert , Chen Lin and the two Mercs go to the gate where Albert much to Chen Lin disgust denounces the mercenaries as brigands and have them arrested . The mercs vowing revenge are led off and the party makes a statement to the local law enforcer keeping any mention of the slavers to themselves. After making the statement they decide to finding end and much to Vesnas disgust they decide to go to a waterfront inn called the Dive. After the tavern keep Propositions Sarai for sexual favors he ends up charging the party 1 silver a piece for the rooms. After cleaning up as best they can . Sarai, Chen Lin, and vesna go to Bethils house of pleasure for a drink and some rumors . While away Shade went down into the tap room and while looking for something to steal the most blindly beautiful elf comes in sits down and orders some wine . Shade couldn’t help himself and went over to talk to her and then unable to Deny her anything he left with her. When the ladies get back from bethils they find Shade is no there when they ask the patron they’re told he left with a woman but what’s strange is that her description ranged from that of a human female to an Female Orc.   9. Recently I found "Off Hand" as an option under Weapon Elements in the Martial Arts section of Hero Designer 3, but this is the only place I can find any mention of it. Somewhere between one-quarter and one-third of all Martial Arts styles have WF: Off Hand, but absoltely none of them have WE Off Hand. Is this a glitch in HD3 or is there some rule I'm not aware of?

Ive been working on a spell and write ups for a Demonically possessed mion of Mordak heres the spell 6 Mordaks Corruption of the Blessed: Major Transform 6d6 (Paladin into Demonically Possesed Minoin or Mordak, Removal of Blood Tatoo by Exorcism), Reduced Endurance (0 END; +½) (135 Active Points); Extra Time (1 Hour, -3), OIF Expendable (Very Difficult to obtain new Focus; Chain of Mordak; -1), Concentration (0 DCV; -½), Gestures, Requires Gestures throughout (-½), Incantations (Requires Incantations throughout; -½), Only When Serving The God's Purposes (-½), Ritual (3 casters; -½) Notes: This spell created in the time of the lord of the graven spear is a spell as foul as Mordak . It takes those favored by the gods and corrupts them into possessed servents of Mordak. The paladin must be captured and wrapped in the chains of mordak . These chains have been forged and quenched in the blood of an innocent freshly sacrificed. Then in a ritual lasting an hour involving three casters the paladin has a tatoo placed om their chest over their heart after the sacrificing of a child and the blood is used as the ink . Yes I know this is pretty gruesome but then so is Mordak now im planning on useing three incarnations for the minions. The first is a Battle Mionion the Second is a Corruptor type and still debating on the third . Yes indeed it can we've seen it again an again throughout history Hitler,Po Pot,Stalin although with these examples you can also argue that they were corrupt before comming to power. But also you have situation where people with power used it for social change for the good of their people such a Cyrus the great of Persia, Teddy Roosevelt, and even Alexander Gram Bell . The Problem with power is its a tool you use to accomplish your desires. where the corruption is in that the more you use it the more you can change your sense of self and how you precive the world around you and the people in it. As a aside a new sieres on the networks called heroes does look at some of these issues .
  13. Re: Cylon Resurrection But also remember with cylon resurrection a charater who is a cylon is more likely to do things that normal human wouldn't do because we'd consider insane. I forget if it was Six who said that death to a cylon is just a learning experince where to us its the end. So in effect even in a game with a very low mortality rate you'd have to make allowances for them doing what we see a terminally stupid for the reason that they can get away with it.

Re: Discourse on Fantasy Hero Altascott now you say that GMing fantasy hero takes more prep that say champions and i find that an interesting thing for Hero System even fantasy hero is inheritly balanced for everything is derived from strength. Now the magic system your using is the hardest thing you have to do , but once done everything else is simple really. Also I don't know about other GM's but when prepping a game I don't set anything in stone till i know what my players a bringing to the table then i finish up my preparation.
