Spider The hounds defacto enforcer not because he's the biggest or toughest but because he's the most intimidating. Everyone in the gang knew spider was a little bit nuts rumor had it he killed his cell mate in prison for snoring to loud made it look like he hung himself. Even before they got their gifts spider was a scary dude over 6 foot of wirey muscle and twitchy violence covered in spiderweb tattoos. After they got the gifts he seemed to calm down but that hides the fact he is only ever moments from violence. The thread also allows him to climb with ease and when the gang needs a guard or look out taken out he's fond of getting up high then taking them out with a silver lariat.

The Vet Antonio Vetinari was the vetinarian stationed with a group of dog teams on Forward deployment in Afghanistan. When the Forward operations base came under attack by Taliban fighters most of the base personnel was killed during the initial mortar and vehicular IED strike. The next 6 hours was a non stop gun battle when the dust settled a woundrd Antonio and two of the war dogs where all that was left of the FOB. Antonio returned stateside to recover from his injuries and received a honorable discharge and adopted the two dogs. What no-one realised when he was discharged was that something had changed about him during that gunfight. He had learned to kill and discovered he loved it. Antonio and the dogs started out doing bounty hunting when that wasn't enough of a thrill he used his contacts in the criminal world to find higher paying and more brutal work eventually he fell in with Bad medicine who where looking for some more muscle. The vet looks like the punisher in a lab coat carries a load of heavy ordnance and is always followed by his two highly trained and devoted attack dogs.

The gates let her throw them extra distance or have them come from strange directions even appearing at a targets feet. The Illuminator Blackpools guardian is a combination of batman and Mysterio. He uses holographic projectors and drones. His costume has two modes SHOWTIME the suits holographic emitters cover his suit with swirling neon images which distract and misdirect targeting he wields a book staff with a a strobe light in the tip which causes blinding or stunning effects. STEALTH is sneaky Matte black but using the holographic emitters for chameleon capabilities. The drones have the same optical stun strobe and holographic emitters that let illuminator create illusions. Illuminator uses the expectation of the SHOWTIME mode to use the stealth mode to great effect.

Promenade is technically a flag suit although it's the flag of Brighton and Hove County Council who sponsor her under the sanctioned extra normal talent program (she's a gate teleporter who uses assorted grenades and fighting sticks) As is the Gent (the world's greatest accountant) although in his case it's the coat of arms of the City of London which he wears as a crest on his blazer and has weapons based on it a red holographic sword, shield and small dragon (actually a sophisticated AI assistant).

Fair & Square It's always a fair fight between Farris Courtney and anyone else his strange mutant power evens out his and their natural abilities. So anyone he fights one on one is half as strong as usual while Farris gets the other half. Farris has put a lot of time into training with other superheroes to master their abilities. He has a deep rooted desire for fairness and is always a champion of the underdog the two easy ways to get on his bad side are attacking those weaker than you and unsportsmanlike behavior he will always try to punish those he considers underhanded.

Neuro-Tick Dr Carson Nebb was a brilliant neurosurgeon who dragged himself up from the mean streets of Hudson city. Dr Nebb developed an experimental procedure designed to massively enhance intelligence. perhaps it was hubris or just impatience with the slow pace of ethical medical experimentation but one night with the help of several extremely loyal medical students and a top quality surgical robot Dr Nebb conducted his first procedure on him self. The process worked significantly enhancing his intelligence, unfortunately it had several info unforeseen side effects psychopathy delusions and blackouts being the worst. When Dr Nebb woke up from his first post operative blackout he found the grizzly murdered bodies of his students and plans for a device drawn in their blood. After disposing of the bodies and faking his own death Dr Nebb built that device and discovered that during his psychotic fugue he had created a compact insect like device that would penetrate a targets brain and convert them to his obedient servant. Now using his Neuro-Tick infested slaves he commits crimes with bad medicine.

Warp Speed Jeffrey s. Toobe has a power that at first glance appears immensely powerful he can warp space around himself to shorten the distance between two points. Unfortunately for Jeff the result is that he can cover a lot of ground fast but gets non of the other benefits of superspeed and all of the disadvantages of teleportation and running. Jeff has learned to be a distraction first and foremost his only defense is his speed so he is in constant motion. Lacking any offensive ability he acquired a bunch of torpedo shaped photonic grenades that he uses to blind and disorient enemies and a stun gun he's had modified to look like a phaser. His only other power trick is what he calls the Picard maneuver where he temporarily boosts his warp bubble so he momentarily appears in two places at once but he finds this extremely tiring .

I was working on a hero who used rope darts that deployed from his sleeves and rigged to automatic retractors behind his back. I considered adding some trick attachments tazers electromagnets or blades for example with enough line he could even use them as swing lines.

Now she's a member of the crushers she provides the teams equipment and is able to create a whole arsenal. Her trade Mark attack is to summon a cup of TEA EARL GREY HOT and throw it into someone's face.

i actually have a multi generational hero/villain family who are experts in Dog training and use highly trained dogs . Der KreigsHund was the first hero of the German army his trained hounds defending the trenches of the Somme and sniffing out French and English spies. the nemesis of a British soldier turned spy and later adventurer The Lion. Der HexenHund: Der KreigHund's son unfortunately did not inherit his fathers aristocratic code a violent and dangerous man who fully embraced the Nazi Ideology and was drawn to the occult practices of the Thule society. his trained dogs where used in ritual and bound to demons from hell and used to attack resistance forces across Europe hunted snipers in Stalingrad and devastated the allies landings at Normandy. Cyberhound The latest in the line a brilliant computer technologist paralyzed in a car accident. his work was on neural interface technology designed to restore his own ability to walk his first test subjects where dogs injured in car accidents like him self when the experiment worked he tried it on him self it worked only for him to find that he was some how lined to the canine subjects able to see through their eyes and control them with a thought. when ARGENT tried to kidnap him and his research he discovered more abilities and was able to escape and with his investigative abilities lead the authorities to them. he was recruited by Euro-guard and is now an active agent.

RED KNIGHTMARE Una Moore was the cliche small town teen rebelling against authority by dabbling in the occult and self harm. She would probably have outgrown it if she hadn't found a lost grimoire of blood magic from the crimson court on Ebay. Even then she didn't really belive in the magic not until the local football star tried to rape her during the violent assault with her blood flowing from cuts and scrapes from him trying to tear off her clothes she remembered the grimoire and it all became clear. In pain and blood she found the magic and her most famous spell the blades of blood. One evicerated football player later and the Red Knightmare was born. The trail of bodies when the local sheriff responded to the screams the dash cam footage showed her in tattered clothing and literally bathed in blood. Since she joined the crimson court she has expanded her blood magic with enough blood she can do almost anything and luckily for her there is always lots of blood when she works.

It kind of depends I tend to think of obvious versus inobvious as batman vs James Bond. Batmans cowl lenses are an obvious focus James Bonds night vision sunglasses are an inobvious focus. Batmans bat grenades are an obvious focus bonds grenade pen is inobvious. So in your example if the belt looks like a normal belt until activated inobvious if it looks like a high tech device it's an obvious focus.
