Re: Musings on Random Musings
No. We have two young women who were both High School interns for the bank worked two years and moved here to go to college. We hired them one as a teller and one as an accounts officer.
In the last two years they have both become accounts officers. One turned 21 this year the other 20.
The younger of the two has always been a) Spoiled Princess, Drama Queen, c) Center of the Universe.
The other Only a & b
So today the younger, who was in a pissy mood all day (and she is every day) called the other girl into the back room and simply unloaded on her. Telling her how unsupportive she was (didn't help her with the line of customers [cause she couldn't see them with our new remodel]), how unfriendly she was (wouldn't put back office on hold so she could tell her something), how unhelpful and what a jerk she's been.
The older one lost it; she's been going nuts with the all day all the time bitchfest from the younger one.
As an aside, I have a theory. The lowest common denominator. There is someone who is the most annoying person in your office. When they go away, if they are not replaced with an equal or greater annoyance; someone who "wasn't so bad" is elevated to the most annoying person in your office.
For the older girl, the younger girl had recently been elevated to queen pain in the rear. She's held captive by the fact that they are right next to eachother and the younger isn't deterred by someone trying to work.
It was pretty ugly. There were some tears. The younger will probably continue to blame everyone else for her problems, the older will be leaving for an internship in June so she's already decided she's not paid enough to care. It will be a fun couple of months.
