  1. Re: Thermobaric bomb Thank you, Rex, I will work with these guidelines. I think one character can survive it easily, but the rest will be a bit damaged.
  2. Re: Thermobaric bomb The floor building will be 50 m X 30 m. Is big. And has 30 floors, but the explosion will be in just one floor, may be the second or third. According with Wikipedia the bomb has 430 psi. Can survive it a character with Damage Resistance?
  3. Re: Thermobaric bomb Well, the idea is to plant the bomb in a floor. The building is like any office building and the bomb is disguised as a vending machine. The gas will cover enough room before the detonation, and I figure if this floor is wiped out the upper will fall also collapsing the building. My concern is if anybody with Damage Resistance and Damage Reduction can survive the explosion, and if the collapse will affect people in the outside. Regular people in this floor are dead without any dice rolling needed, but I need to roll for this powered ones. So I need a guide about the damage this bomb can do.
  4. My favourite villain is planting a thermobaric bomb in a building, but I have no clues about how to deal with it in the rules... Here is my guess: Area of Effect attack with 4 separate effects: 1) energy RKA (6d6? maybe more?). 2) Double Knockback, making the people go against the walls and through them (that is, up to 11d6 normal damage). 3) Static overpressure destroys the walls anywhere. The building colapses creating more damage to people who went through the walls. No idea how much, but I guess is Explosion damage. There are no robots in my game, but if a robot were in the area the overpressure will destroy it for sure like an atom bomb. 4) Negative pressure; physical RKA 3d6 if anyone is still in the area (in case of a building is not probable, they were punched out). Well, what do you think?
  5. Re: Eccentric but plausible ways a character could be rich? -Be born in Qatar, qatari people get paid just for exist, and in 10 years or so you can be a millionaire. -To be identical to a gangster who is gonna be paid in a Casino by letting him win in every game he plays up to the money the Casino owners owe to the gangster. At first the character thinks he is the most fortunate person in Earth, but then the mistake is discovered...
  6. Hello. I'm designing a thermobaric bomb for the villain of my campaign. He is planning to use it in a hotel full of people and kill them all. Is really really a bad person, and as Ozymandias will say "is not an RKO villain whose plans can be stopped". So, the bomb... Wikipedia says about a thermobaric explosion: About the rules, I am thinking in four separate effects of the bomb (all with Area of Effect): 1) Energy based RKA (how much strong? 6d6 may be? more?) 2) Double Knockback on the objects affected by the above damage, some of them making holes throgh the walls of the building. 3) RKA only against walls (not people), as the "Blast Wave (Static overpressure)" in page 134 of the "Equipment Guide" when discussing atomic bombs. 4) Negative pressure RKA 3d6 (physical?), as in the same page 134, when discussing atomic bombs. OK, what do you think?
