  1. Body drain, if you drain the body from a inanimate object, is it destroyed/and does it recover? or does it have to be repaired?
  2. Re: Rant? Speed in Hero I too have thought of using the D12 option but never have tried it yet. I wonder if having each pc/npc(major npcs at least) roll there own D12 would work. It would solve the problem of everyone going at same time. I have saw people who also use d12 then every time you do not get a action you increase speed by+1, i.e. spd 4 rolls, does not roll 4 or below, rolls again this time needing a 5 or lower ect, once you go then you reset to your normal speed. Of course would have to use some 'mook' rule so you didn't have to roll for every agent/normal. Maybe having them get one phase every 4 or 5 rolls.
  3. Re: Music To Raise The Dead 2 Falconer songs come to mind, Waltz with the Dead off of the Northwind Album and We sold our Homesteads off of Chapters from a Vale forlorn seem to fit what your looking for.
  4. Re: Champions Or Mutants & Masterminds? You are correct did forget the Transparent adv. With that total cost comes to 48 points. You are correct not cheap, I was just showing how. I guess its a matter of choice about the Invisble Power affects. Without it, yes it would mean you would have to have some special effect that would be visible (I personally wouldn't worry about it). Being able to ignore up to 12 body attacks is still pretty good, can you still be hurt? Of course, but it will still mean you can ignore alot of attacks (an average 12d6 attack or less). Points wise 1/7 is almost the same as M&M, 10 Impervious Protection is 20 points, out of 150.
  5. Re: Champions Or Mutants & Masterminds? I have both M&M 1e and 2e and pretty much every Hero book ever published (sad I know). The "true Invulnerability" question came up with me as well. In Hero the best way (I have found at least) is to use the Force Wall construct from Ultimate Brick. If you make it inherent and say, only good vs Fire or Cold, ect it is not that exspensive to get pretty much Invulnarable to something. Now you may violate some active point caps, if your campaign has them) so it will be up to your GM to approve it but I have never found it to be bad. You have to buy Indirect for you own powers to go thru (we usually just tack on another +1/4 to +1/2 advantage to let all your own abilities thru). Even the 'Can't hurt me' power from Ultimate Brick made persistant is 55 Points. Anything doing 12 Body or less is stopped cold, seems pretty much just like the Impervious ability in M&M, almost identical in fact. Invunlability to Fire- Force Wall (0 Pd, 20 ED), 2" long (Sufficient to completely surround characters body), Reduced End (0 End, +1/2), Persistant (+1/2), Hardened (+1/4), Inherent (+1/4). (130 Active points):Always on (-0, not really disadvantage), No Range (-1/2),Self Only (-1/2), Restricted Shape (-1/4,Always surrounds character and conforms to his body), Only vs Fire (-1). Total Cost: 40 Points. Now is he completely invulnerable?, No but he can ignore anything less than a 21 Body Fire attack, while I can't speak for anyone elses campaign that covers pretty much any Fire Damage in my campaign.
  6. I never thought of Fantasy hero as being non-lethal(or not so lethal). Between getting to add DC's once over the weapons Str min, Combat Manuevers and Combat skill levels being able to add to damage(even with the rule of a max of 2x DC) you can easily get to 3d6 - 4d6 KA. A plate mail wearing person with that Rdef of 8 is still going to take Body alot of times(3d6=3-18 Body, Avg of 10.5) and thats not including if you use the hit location rules where some do 1 1/2 to 2x damage.
  7. I got mine from the Complete Strategist. (http://www.compleatstrategist.com). They were nice and fast delivery also.

Got mine in the mail today - Chalk up another vote for it Rocks!! I was surprised how big it was. I'am sure Steve posted the page count sometime in the past but I never saw it and was surprised how large the page count was.
  9. Yeah you can definetly build her-its just that she comes out soooo expensive. Even without Ms. Marvel's flight, Super Str and Armor, that Mimic pool ends up costing huge amounts to be even close. Hermit The Pool and Transfer is a good idea but again-really expensive. As a Gm I was thinking about maybe Transform, Self only, only to have same powers as Target(Yes I know its against the rules- I mean allow this to simulate the power). With the standard effect rule this would work really well and get dependable results-but would probably be wayyy to powerful for the points. Other option - Vpp for Multi-form, only to forms touched, only to add targets powers, everything else in form stays same.
  10. Maybe go with a Activation roll to the Fighters weapons, so if they make the activation roll their attack is Penetrating. Smaller ships might only have a Penetrating activation roll of 8-, bigger ones might be 11-, 12 or 14- for Capital ships.
  11. Wow, haven't thought about those books in a loooong time LOL. I read the whole series backing the 80's, they were pretty good in my opinion. They are along the lines of Twilight 2000 Post apocalypse themes, no Hi-tech, mutations or stuff, just regular army guys who still have access to military tech while the rest of the world is sliding down the technogly ladder. They also have some NC-17 rated stuff in them.
  12. I was thinking of doing almost same thing you did, but build all the X-men on 250 points. I like your builds but a few suggestions.... Nightcrawler-We used Indirect, linked to his Teleport and his Martial arts to simulate his Teleport-Fu from X-2. I would also give him maybe 20 Dex Colossus - With that Growth isn't he going to way too tall? 4 meters is almost 13 feet tall. Iceman looks pretty good. Cyclops - He was tough for us also. I wouldn't make his uncontrolled blasts Killing Attacks. Been along time but didn't his visor focus his beams-thus they were stronger thru the visor and weaker without it? I know the movie didn't seem that way but I thought that was the way it was in the books. Otherwise keep em coming P.S. Good Luck on Rogue - She is almost impossible to make, much less for a low power level game. You might consider her being a npc as well-unless you found some way other than the horribly expensive VPP "Mimic pool" way of making her-in which case you better be sharing .
  13. Just some loser Enforcer84, his posts have been reported and Ben will remove them shortly. He did same thing last night. Poor loser wastes all that time posting and they get deleted in few hours anyway Lol.
  14. Well lets just say once saw a villian named Vomit Vixen........you can guess the rest lol.
  15. Well not "official" but one of the novels says Warp was figured as a Exponent-which of course would lead to speed WAY above the Speed of Light lol..... Warp 9 would be 9x9x9x9x9x9x9x9x9 times the speed of light....387420489 times the speed of light to be exact lol - I think the author was smoking something when he came up with this...
