You know, not that I've been looking, but I haven't seen one article citing specific incidents of this happening. Usually, stupid stunts like this are recorded for YouTube. I watch a lot of YouTube (A LOT), but I have yet to see a video titled "Bill eats a Tide Pod!" Maybe I'm missing the article, but I'm beginning to strongly suspect that this is an urban legend. I had this problem a couple of weeks ago and was banging my head on my keyboard trying to figure it out. I eventually uninstalled Java, re-downloaded a fresh version, and installed that. It worked fine after that. Alternatively, I could have come here and perhaps have saved myself some hassle. :/
