  1. I didn't want my 6e1 hardback 😞 I wanted the softcover.
  2. I keep thinking 'Lock Out' since they can't do anything else during the Trance. But that may be over-thinking it on my part.
  3. Quick and Dirty Screencap from Hero System Rulebook (4th Edition)
  4. #2 is using the Standard Effect Rule from 6e1p133, it can be used or not depending on how you want the power to work. #3 Linked vs Trigger - Linked to me involves the powers being combined into one thing. I use this power, this also happens as part of it. Trigger is whatever is determined can happen. If someone touches me, if I touch someone, if someone comes within 3ft of me, etc. It can be a bit blurry #6 0 phase are little things that take no time. This power would be a 1/2 phase action (or all depending on when you take it). That's the beauty of the trigger part is it's automatically activating the aid at the same time. As mentioned earlier, without the trigger you'd have to do 1 phase for the Drain, then wait until your next phase for the Aid if Trigger wasn't added. Since it resets automatically you may use it on your next phase again. As for 'turned on' - you have instant, constant and persistent powers. Life Force Transfer is a one at a time attack. If you want to keep doing it you have to make the attack each phase. If it was constant (6e1p127 than as long as you pumped END into it it'd work, BUT you'd have to declare and make your attack role first.
  5. I've kept the old ones as a zip file on a Google drive just in case, you never know how Java will update and f**k things up. 99% of the time there isn't an issue though.
  6. I've yet to have a problem with anything, old or new. There are newer ways of doing things that make the old ones...obsolete(?) (such as the way you can do templates vs putting everything in prefabs), but the program reads it all the same.
  7. The last update was March of this year and I'd have to see what the differences are.
  8. Thank you Dan. Now to answer the other person, the simplist way actually would be to build the power OUTSIDE the VPP and then hit the little arrow button and move it into it.
  9. When playing around as part of another thread, I never noticed before (probably because I don't mess with VPPs often. The Real Cost for the power is at 0 in the Power pane. While I know it should be 0 in the VPP List, there is no indication of what's actually being spent and if it goes over, only when you exit and it gives the error of 'Real Cost for XXXX exceeds....Item will be placed outside of Pool's Sample Power list." Can that be changed to show the Real Cost inside the Power write-up?
  10. Ridd1e, aka Riki LeCotey, is one of my favorite cosplayers and I've posted pictures of her before. For several years now she has been working for the Marvel Movies in Costuming/Wardrobe. She is also working on the Ms. Marvel show. Because of her background they asked if she'd like to wear some of her stuff as an extra for AvengerCon in episode One.
  11. Personally I let people go as high as they can afford. Look at Green Lantern. I can see the Power Ring having a VPP with some per-defined powers, plus the ability to come up with things on the fly with a good Power: Green Lantern Ring roll. The powers themselves couldn't go over the AP of the campaign and he'd be limited how many AP he has total. If I wanted a 'one power at a time only' I'd use Multipower with all the slots set at Ultra.
  12. Fine. This is why I don't post as much anymore. In a game where you can do things multiple ways, someone always comes out to prove how wrong my opinion or example is. This time I am done.
  13. Um her power doesn't trigger unless she touches someone. Doesn't matter. Uncontrolled trigger, always happens with skin to skin.
  14. In some way Rogue would be a decent example depending on how you do it. When Rogue touches someone she gets their memories as well as powers (if any). Yeah yeah, transform. Look at it also with a mental attack linked to a VPP or drain. It uses a trigger of touching someone.
  15. I have a hero export that does the math. Yeah speed is a muffin fluffer.
  16. To our fallen friend we raise a glass and make a toast. May he always roll low on attacks and high on damage. May the binding on his books never break and may he always find what's he's looking for in the Tome that is Hero.

We will miss you our brother.

  17. Still playing around with formatting HTML and other stuff. Nothing serious yet.
  18. Yeah I was thinking about just doing the movement. While this is coming off as D20 (shush haters), a friend is doing a Monk/Martial Artist from an African style Tribe that is able to harness the Cheetah's speed to do quick moves so many times per day.
  19. What I'm working on is a movement power (spell?) where the Speed is raised to 7. That's it +5 Speed (since most start at 2 Speed) but the most it will give you is a max of 7. So it doesn't matter if you're 2, 4 9; you get a speed 7. Cheetah's Pace is an ability where you travel at 66MPH, just like the animal. BUT since your movement is partly based on your phases/round the math can be weird.
  20. Yeah, that's why I was wondering if there was a way in the Export to see, I'm guessing it'd have to be added to the code itself then? It could be done with the user editing the table to add the appropriate <table></table> tag and having them flex-boxed next to each other. Just trying to get it as automated as possible.
  21. Is there an easy way to do multi-column tables by dividing the output? for example something like this:
  22. I'd make it Side Effects of the Armor depending on if this is a found/cursed item or what.
