    Ben 10

Re: Ben 10 Minor corrections on the speedy lizard. He has three fingers not two. They are spaced triangularly around the arm end or that's what it looked like to me. He also has used that big tail to attack on at least one occassion. Big old twist and thwack on someone.
  2. Re: Race Rename OOKLA the Mok and Princess Ariel! And his fabulous sunsword! OOKLA! ARIEL! RIDE! Sorry Shadowpup's suggesstion touched of a memory.
  3. Re: Help requested for a character (Ichigo “Strawberry†Kurosaki) Okay to start he has several powers unrelated to being a soul reaper. He's able to see the spirits of the dead and affect them. He is also able to sense a specific person at a range by standing still and concentrating. He also has a very powerful aura, so much so that it interfers with others that sense spirits. Then he becomes a soul reaper. To use those powers he has to litterally leave his body, something he can't do without direct aid at the moment. As a soul reaper he's armed with a sword that's power reflects his own inate power [so it's massive]. His current training to help him aim for the Hollow[evil ghosts] head, the only way to ensure a swift kill and so the Reaver does not have to see the Hollow's true face beneath its mask. As a spirit without a body he gains some pretty good jumping [almost flight] and he is not desolid. He is affected and affects the world as normal solid people do. As a spirit those without special powers cannot see him. In the anime he shown to almost have flight [he gets knocked out a window and proceeds to slide along the air and stand up.]

    Team Tactics

Re: Team Tactics For clarification, the evil twins are back in their own dimension and perhaps gone for good...dun dun dunn. So we aren't actively planning what to do against them next time, but planning for when we end up fighting another villian team. Combat started with Enigma doing his vanishing act much to Marksman dismay, he was planning on taking him out. After dealing what appeared the more obvious threats, Marvelman got the very verbal and obvious find the invisible guy statement. Bolt was still at the time mindcontrolled by said mentalist and Marvelman was taken out by the speedster. Labryinth was not immune to mental illusions, Marvelman proved useful for once [he's a novice hero and he's player is known for not thinking things through. His other character once was in the position of comtemplating a fire fight with Prof. Muerto. His character was pretty much still the 350pnt starter mage at that time.]Turning the juggernaut against his teammates. Took out their archer and their flying blaster pretty much on his own. It would be hard to point out who dealt out the most damage. Labryinth is the straight out obvious brick that wouldn't go down easy. We now are aware that Marvelman ego blasting him or a heavy concentrated attack by the entire team would be required to take him down. I think Homoluncus the flying flesh golem with his multitude of special blasts was a pretty decent threat when it came to dishing out pain upon us. Softened a few of us up for his teammates without taking any flak at all until the end of the fight. Longbow pretty much went after Marksman and had several of her teammates helping [Labryinth and Homoluncus] so our poor unofficial leader got very smacked around. Enigma, despite being the invisible mentalist the only thing he did was mind control Bolt and she only proved useful for an attack on a fellow teammate. Though if he hadn't appeared and asked to parley the remainder of our group would have had to face the invisible threat and the very visible Labryinth. Thankfully we never got to see what else he could pull. The gun nut, no I don't know his name either, proved bothersome to a recovering Marksman as he let loose with two uzis, and particularly painful to me with the holy silver shots. Besides his large arsenal of guns he had nothing really going for him. My dice just failed to roll well...and after they opened up with a 3 on Labryinth to hit...

    Team Tactics

Re: Team Tactics This be cerebus's player. I know I'm the beat stick of this group. How the trouncing occured... Basically they used tactics we as always used brute force in hopes of success. I in part think our gm takes much joy in never making a fight that easy...*flashback to fight with wereboars where it was a final one on one with Cerebus and a pig cop deciding the winner.* Marksman- Had the Homoluncus [flying blaster] concentrate some fire on him, had himself picked up and tossed by Labryinth, and had Longbow spell away all his senses. Bolt- She was removed by the invisible Enigma, who mindcontrolled her. Thankfully he never got the chance to let Labryinth haymaker her as she stood politely by, though unfortunately she was still used against her teammates. Marvel Man- Didn't take much damage till Marksman pointed him out as the resident Psion, then Enigma had Bolt kick him to the curb. Thankfully he'd already become MVP by using a mental illusion on Labryinth [We are your teammates and your teammates are us] which also provided the obvious turning point. It was also nice to see his player prove especially useful for once. Minotaur- Took fire from Homoluncus and maybe a blow from Labryinth, bad rolls with the rock throwing so he couldn't do much. Cerebus- Chipped my teeth finding out Labryinth had 75% DR and then got a delivery of holy silver rounds from the gun nut, and couldn't manage to bit the flying blaster. Pretty much proved a poor beat stick cause I couldn't hit anything. Looks like I'll have to use some of my exp and take much needed combat levels. Part of the problem was that a few of our members [Marvel and Bolt] didn't have Guardians battle language so we would literally have to telegraph every plan to the enemy, which happened twice since Marvel couldn't warn Marksman about possible snipers effectively and Marksman had to shout "Find their psion" to Marvel. It was a painful lesson, but it looks like we've limped away with some ideas. Marksman don't forget, CHOPPER 4- Take out enemy vehicles.
  7. Re: Character for review-Kitsuen Hmm I seem to have forgotten that. In which case that means "the act of smoking".
  8. Re: Character for review-Kitsuen Yes he spelled the name wrong. He does such things alot, he's got a high level of hunted by the typo ninjas. Actually the pipe is the kind you smoke man not the kind you play. I'd say more gold look to it. Jeweled with light decorative pattern and a constant plume of grey smoke. To tell the truth it's not just getting hit, if I get hit by iron I'm really going to be screwed. I'm unsure where the idea for that disad came from.
  9. Re: Origin suggestions needed ASAP Bitten by a radioactive fence.
  10. Re: I Hate Soft Targets Actually ol Jmoz is the stealth guy for the group. We had a mentalist in the group as well. Apparently the terrorists had a nice psi jamming device. Being the team brick and unable to do literally anything was a pain, hell it plain sucked. The orphanage was somehow consecrated[holy] and my brick just happens to be suseptable. Nothing like being a superhero and being reminded yet again how you can't save'm all.
  11. Re: [Western Champions] Chamions of the West Super Team Heh bit late to suggest multiforms but how about a buffalo as one? Looking through the writeups I'm thinking of revising that quick sketch of your Defender I did at the hobbyshop that day. Definately need some larger gauntlet setup for firing bolas and nets and the like. Hmm... so much joy to be done.
  12. Re: You don't really GET a choice... Yup I did this kind of thing. In the starting one of our characters made a few silly mistakes and wound up with a bit of jail time, seperating him from the 'main' campaign group. Pequed by certain later statements I created my sarcastic vampire anti-hero Testament. He'd been incarcerated for some time and working in the new prison system that allowed reduced sentances for taking what anyone would call suicide missions. When your immortal things just have to be interesting. Especially when to your knowledge nothing can kill you.[They strapped a little bomb that would decapitate him if he double crossed them. It's not that he thinks it'll kill him. He just doesn't feel like escaping right now.] First and only mission we played so far was to sneak onto the Dr.D's island so we could put a hack device on his system for a couple of seconds. Many fun statements by Testament to his heroic team mate.
  13. Re: European Enemies... Heh I have that book and seriously have thought about retro fitting and updating some of the characters. Of course most of what I've started on has been sketching out pics to represent the character, almost half the art in the book didn't match the description very well imo. I'm still a relatively new guy to the system so if I actually started statting these guys out I'd probably make quite a few mistakes and it'd be one big headache, plus I only have Sidekick and the Until superpower database books with which to guide me.
  14. Re: Superhumans pulling an Authority Indeed, I found it odd that he'd want to start them at the top or in charge. What point is there if they are already at the top? In his brief defense, the Wanderer corrected himself saying that the team would be able to halt the threat of a nuke with some actual effort involved. Not that any single one of them would sit on the warhead, let it detonate, and then make a crude pun about having gas. I tried time again with little effect to give him some help on his world and time and again Wanderer decided to shoot my ideas down or bat them aside. I've forgotten awhile ago, but I think that originally he came asking for opinions and help on the game plots. I happily supplied some minor nitches that most gms could build on to suit their individual campaign world. Really what pointed out his idiodicy is when he kept quoting how "realistic" he wanted the world and then when the idea of economics [his chars would all be rich because the one guy would make loads of diamonds or something to that effect] reared its head he shrugged and wondered if that would really be important. Hell if your going to remove all these factories, etc. and put all those workers on the unemployment line you better have some idea about the reprecussions of that act. I think the US had a 'little' period of time over economics called the Great Depression, but then I'm sure that never happened in his 'realistic' world where if money grows on trees, the value of the dollar never drops, and prices never change.
  15. Re: Supervillian: What Would You Do? Try and find someone that can return you to your world, then threaten them into doing it. Try and find someway to prevent you from turning back to a toy. Find the person that did this to you and let them feel the wrath of the Blue Boggart!
