  1. One of my players wants to build a one-hex AoE into his Move-By/Move-Through, so that he's basically sure to hit his target. I thought about building it using a Naked Advantage into his STR, but how would that affect the damage from the maneuver? Would it add in? Then I thought about building it through an Energy Blast, but can you use powers during a Move-By or Move-Through? Some advice would be appreciated. The power should not be more than 60 Active Points and should not do more than 12d6 damage. Thanks, Sir Grail
  2. Re: What published adventures are there for Champions? Thanks! Though it isn't quite complete. "Foxbat For President" was not listed under Blackwyrm. Not that I'm complaining, just pointing it out. I am rather surprised though that most of the Champions adventures are for previous editions. Anyone know of any others?
  3. Hi all, I was hoping to get some information about all available published adventures for Champions (HERO System 5th Edition). Most HERO System books seem to concentrate more on character write-ups, backgrounds, history, and game rules rather than complete adventures that cover everything a GM may need (maps, detailed scenarios, plots). However, I have managed to find a few here and there. "Champions Battlegrounds" has a few. "Post-Apocalyptic Hero" has one (mostly). I just found out about "Foxbat For President" made by another company. Can anyone point me to others? Thanks, Sir Grail
  4. Hi all, I'm stuck at work without my 5th Edition rulebook and I am hoping someone can type in the cost and descriptions of the different combat skills levels.   6. Let's say that Character A uses a cumulative Dispel (Magic) on Character B's magical Force Field. However, Character A is not able to turn Character B's power off with that one shot. He'll need to hit it again. Now it's Character B's turn, in which he turns his force field off and then back on again, both as zero-phase actions. Since Character B reset his power, what happens to the Dispel "damage" that Character A did? Is it gone? Is it still there?
  7. My apologies if this seems like a stupid question, but I couldn't find any direct answer in the rulebook or in the rules FAQ. Let's say we have a SPD 6 character with REC 10, who takes a recovery in segment 2. He is at half DCV. At the end of segment 2, he gets back 10 STUN and 10 END. Then the character is attacked in segment 3. Does he have his normal DCV, or is it still halved? Essentially I am asking, if a character takes a recovery, does he remain at 1/2 DCV until his next action?
  8. Re: Is your voice a "sense"? Thank you all for your responses! I know that the final decision needs to be made by my GM, but I thought I would find out what the community thought about it. I have a martial artist in a four-color superhero game, and was thinking about new maneuvers to give him. I figured that since there would be times that I would want to silence someone temporarily, that there might be a way to do it and Martial Flash seemed to be the most appropriate. Thanx!

  10. I was looking through the UMA book the other day and was trying to figure a way to silence someone with a martial maneuver, like a strike to the throat. I would like your thoughts on my ideas: 1) Martial Flash might work, but I'm not sure if one's voice is considered a "sense"; 2) A Strike with the "Disable" modifier, in this case disabling the head. What do you think? Anyone have any other ideas? I would prefer to saty away from actual "powers" and have it built as a martial maneuver. Wyld
  11. Re: What character concepts make you cringe? I'm not sure whether you are referring to a) guy fantasizing about having sex with lesbian, or guy fantasizing about lesbians having sex. These are two distinctly different things in my opinion. (Personally, I fall into Group B, but not Group A. Because as you said, they're lesbians... they're not interested in me) I've never had a desire to play a female character, personally, but I have never had a problem with anyone who did.
