Acrobat version? I've noticed on some other email lists that the Acrobat plugin has been having problems reading version 6 pdf files, if the plug in is still from the v5 set. What version of Acrobat were the PDF's done in? Aroooo

New and Improved! Well, sort of... The new and improved Starfury Aurora is ready for review. I've retooled the electronic warfare equipment, and tweeked the html file a bit. If it meets with approval, I'll crank out the rest of the ships. (Will be adding a section to the Ships section outlining the EW systems soon.) There are lots of things you can do for an introductory (one session) game. If you give us some details about your players (characters) I'm sure someone here can give you some specific ideas. For example, do all your characters already know each other or not? Are they planet bound or do they have a ship? Etc... Aroooo

My DSL line went down for a bit. I've been working with my provider, and we can't find a problem yet. But I noticed the other day that a squirel was climbing up my neighbor's house, next to their phone lines, so I would not be surprised if thats the source of my problem Aroooo

Sorry about that. I've activated your account. My ISP and I are having it out with regards to reverse DNS lookups. Many email servers are starting to validate reverse IPs as a way to combat spam, and because my ISP is not picking up my reverse DNS info properly, some email has been getting dropped I hope to have that resoved soon. Yeah, for my B5 ship write-ups I've kept it simple with regards to Missiles. They are just RKA's with a delay rather than vehicles. Besides, this way they could be applied to any incoming fire, not just missiles. I'm a little zoned right now, but one thing I just thought of would be to add a limitation: Requires Abort to Dodge action; meaning you could not use chaff & flares unless you could abort to a Dodge or Dive for Cover Maneuver. Certainly in keeping with the spirit of chaff/flare use. Thoughts? Aroooo

That is actually in the FAQ. But that's not addressing the Boostable aspect. I like the approach Blue Jogger used in his Summon example. Aroooo

While most things in Hero can be abused one way or the other, Boostable Charges is one of those things that, without the Burnout, would be too easy to abuse. Some things just need a built in ballancer. Aroooo
