Jason, why not release this in color?
I don't like the profit margins that way, and I also wanted them to be a little less expensive. So it seemed like the right course.

Hi, this is great news...could you please tell me if you will be releasing Fantasy Hero, Champions and Star Hero in this format as well in the near fututre? I could order them all at once from Drivethru and save on shipping if so (I don't mean the 'Complete' versions, I mean the original larger editions). Thanks.
Champions and Fantasy Hero, yes. In fact, I've just approved Champions. Star Hero no because it's still in print and you can get it from the website.
-
I'm just glad we can get it in print. Color or not. Does this mean that given enough time we will see the other 6E out of print books also be released this way as well?
Yes. Pretty much all of them and soon. Keep an eye on the forums for updates.

They're blue and yellow. Jason

Please check the "Print On Demand" section of the forums. I'll place links there as new titles become available POD. Fantasy Hero and Champions 6th will indeed be made available as b&w paperbacks shortly - but not Star Hero 6th Edition, as I still have a pallet of them in my warehouse!
-
No, I'm just going to release it this way for the moment.

God only knows Joe. Two thousand? Fires of Heaven is probably the largest at 260 pages, while Posthegemony is the smallest at something like 80.
-
34 my friend.
-
It will be part of the KS project Gary as a $20.00 Add On which gets you access to the entire Strike Force Archives.

Awww, I didn't realize that Aaron Allston had passed away. That's too bad, he was an excellent writer and storyteller. I'm sure that I have that Strike Force sourcebook still in a dusty box in my garage. It was a great resource for Champions players and I'm glad to hear that his collected writing on his campaigns have been passed along. From what you wrote, it sounds like his Twilight Falls campaign lasted a good long time as well - what was the general theme of that? It sounds like campy horror....
If I remember correctly from the material, Twilight Falls was a Champions campaign imagined as a sort of lighthearted young adult soap opera.
-
High Rock Press will be providing statistics and information for using Strike Force with ICONS, Mutants & Masterminds, and Savage Worlds to every backer in electronic form.
-
Shane is handling fulfillment of his project separately from the Hero Games/Indie Press Revolution stores JKeown. However, it will be for sale here after all of you backers have received your physical and electronic copies.
-
Greg and I fixed that. Please download it again.
-
Only a matter of when, not if. G&G&G is written and turned in.
-
I took it to be a sort of Dark Champions, "Leverage" modern vigilante sort of thing.
-
Should be in your box, but I'll send you an outside link.
-
I've added it to the physical book book purchase, and will set up a separate PDF product as well.
-
Does this really add new things if Grimoire, FH abd Bestiary books are already owned?
Like Kaze9999 said: in part, this is about introducing Fantasy Hero to new players. However, much as with Champions Complete, it should also prove useful for experienced players. And we want to get a complete rule set for the game back into physical print and available to everyone.
-
Nope. You'll have to go to RPGNow to get them.
-
It isn't even in layout yet Kaze9999. One must be patient.

I'm thinking they're more likely to be graced with extensive text and write-ups! But we'll see what Ruben can pull off.
