1. Probably, though I think it gets defined as "Vigilante Mentality" or whatever. As others have pointed out, it isn't appropriate if your hero campaign is "four-color" or similar. The long-term complications probably make it difficult, but not impossible, for Dark Champions games as well.
2. Given how the original film series ends, I'd call it as much apocalyptic as post-apocalyptic. I read the original novel a long time ago, and didn't quite place it in the genre then either.
3. Found out recently that I qualified for something big that I thought I had blown. Seriously, I tanked the interview so badly that when I found out I got it, I immediately got suspicious of the whole enterprise. But I seal the deal on Wednesday, and it will be a big load off my mind.
4. I love that song Hard to believe what a big hit it was. In fact, it buggles the mind.
5. I once saw a guy try to use "Code vs. Taking Prisoners" as a disad similar to what's described above. He didn't have any takers at the time, since none of the available were using an approprialtely dark setting.
6. Flashlight - Parliament You Dropped A Bomb On Me - The Gap Band What I LIke About You - The Romantics
7. The Traveller RPG and supplements I backed via Kickstarter arrived today. Lots of care taken with the packaging. The main book is so thick I could stun a horse with it. I'm in awe of it, really.
8. Hmm. Maybe something like "Status" or "Active Status" if not all these characters are going to be around in the current day.
9. For NPCs on the other side of the tracks, I'd go to Desolation Row.
10. Officially stolen. Thank you.
11. Went to the first AwesomeCon in Washington, DC this weekend. Stupid name, yeah, but a very promising show. Had a good time, and hopefully the show can grow into the sort of con the nation's capital needs.
12. Of your two, I prefer Exemplar. If you're going with the alien part of the Supes thing, there's always Expatriate.
13. The most recent use of the pieces of silver that I've seen is in the DC comic Phantom Stranger. In this new version, it's strongly hinted that PS may be Judas himself.
14. Or perhaps CC is AV from an alternate future, say one where magic was eliminated entirely. For reasons determined by the GM - perhaps CC's universe was somehow destroyed - CC wants to convert this timeline so it resembles his own.
15. A Kickstarter was launched late last year for the Savage Worlds game with a similar theme. It wasn't a success but they may well try again in the future.
16. Oh, I forgot: Link obtained by cutting and pasting Steve's link as above *without* the brackets and info within the brackets. The current "post link" in Post Reply and the URL part of the advanced editor are still off. Simon's "Forum Tips and Tricks" stickied thread in the NGD is the place to go for updates on board stuff.
17. Cool. I supported Beauchamp's Pulp RPG Kickstarter recently. He's clearly got other irons in the fire as well. I'll check it out too.
18. You've got to type the whole thing in as text and let the server convert it. There are still issues with the "post Link" and the URL part of Advanced editor. More (and certainly better) info available in the "Forum Tips and Tricks" thread stickied in the NGD.
19. Great designs! And you've done me a favor too, since this PDF managed to escape my attention 'til this.
20. Not a surprise. The write-up in 5E hinted that something along those was lines was possible. Be interesting to see an official take on what the more advanced powers of the Key are.
21. Guns of Navarone is a great film. I thought the book was even better, though. NP: Columbo, season 2 on DVD. Still my all-time favorite TV detective.
22. yes it was. classic. the priest whose name I'm blanking on still gives me the bit of the chills. Caleb, I believe, well played by Nathan Fillion.
23. Specifically, this thing here: https://www.herogames.com/viewItem.htm?itemID=232633 I don't have it yet, but I'll likely get it eventually.
24. I need to remember the phrase "button morality" - sums it up so well. My favorite comes from a UK music journalist who asks musicians (paraphrasing) "Imagine I have a suitcase containing a million pounds. You can have it, but an unnamed Chinese guy falls off his bicycle and dies. What do you do?" Wish I could remember his name.
