  1. Re: Help me populate a low level champs / pulpish / horror-mystery setting Aaaah perfecto, Thanks for the detailed answer. I'll see if i can come up with some nice PC/NPC's. Would it be OK if i added a little background story as wel?
  2. Re: Help me populate a low level champs / pulpish / horror-mystery setting Hi Rose, Wooohoooo i love the coming up with idea's / concepts. I've got a few question though. 1. What's the "world / setting" like? 2. How "normal" would magic be considered in this modern setting? Does the population know of its existance? Or is it more the secret society ish types that know about it? Cheers,
  3. Re: Death & Maneuvers Ahahaha, yeah i noticed. I must say though i like the 0 Body (out of action) thing. Thanks for the tips everyone, i appreciate it.
  4. Re: Death & Maneuvers Aaaaah, that is indeed a good one. Thanks Sean, i'll give it a go.
  5. Greetings, I have a question and i hope the brilliant minds here can help me pop the question marks hovering over my head. I want to run a campaign (hero 6th edition) with a more positive feel to it. Its a pirate-era like setting, think "One Piece" ish (anime). Adventure, Fun, Fantasy, Magic and so on. But i want to avoid Killing / Death when it comes to combat. So i came up with the option of allowing more BODY than usuall. This to make Char's and or NPC's go KO instead of dying. But then comes the problem, maneuvers with the disable property... With the higher amount of BODY it could be almost impossible to disable someones limb. Anyone have any ideas on how i should tackle this "avoid Killing / Death" thing i want to do and still have maneuvers such as Disable not be harder to use?! Kind Regards, Adi
  6. Hello there RP Lovers, I've got a question. I know most of Role-Play must come from the mind. Using ones imagination and fantasies to get things going. Playing Medi-evil tavern music in the background does help this along the way. Of course its easier when ur doing a Fantasy Setting where the heroes are all great and powerful. I've always been VERY fond of Zombies... Aaaah the joy of seeing someone ripped to shreds by the hungry, smelly and often "i so did not notice them coming" undead. This joy however loses its touch when RP'd. Does anyone have any ideas, tactics and or things a GM / Players can do to create the Zombie Apocalypse Mood?! I also welcome ideas on plot settings and goals players / characters could have during such a campaign. Instead of the usual "i need to find my daughter or wife" scenario. Kind Regards, Adinecia
  7. Greetings Steve Long, I have a question which has been tugging at my brain for a while now. regarding the amount of CV in a campaign. Let's say I have a setting which is running on "Competent Normal" guidelines, CV is 2 - 6. (page 35 - volume 1) Just for clarification, Is the 6 max CV for this setting type counting possible maneuver bonus'? If not, is it then the point to let characters go over that max with the use of maneuvers? Kind Regards,
  8. Re: Sci-fi Mech Build Oh wow, thats a lot of info. Thanks for the posts. Ill be sure to check it all out.
  9. Re: Sci-fi Mech Build Hi Christopher, I gave the vehicles section a good read and i think i can put it together. But it leaves me with one question. How do i link the weapons (powers) to it? Do i just make them in a MP or VPP and link that to the vehicle?!
  10. Greetings Lords of the Forum, I am here again with another question. A friend of mine is interested in hosting a Sci-fi setting in which the heroes use gigantic mechs in their adventure. Going from world to world, fighting other mechs and saving Earth or Mars from space pirates or Alien invaders. I have no idea how to start with the building process of a Mech using the Hero 6th Edition. Multipower? Multiform? Variable Power Pool? Suggestions and advice?
  11. Re: Weapon Creation: Boom'aDagger'Rang Thanks for the tips everyone, i appreciate it. Off to make it and see what i end up with.
  12. Hi oh benevolant gods of the forum, *cough* I had a question. One of my Hero System 6th Edition players wants a Magical dagger (standard dagger) that automatically teleports back to him after he says the magical incantations. Any ideas on how this should be made?! Recoverable Charges?! I await ur great advice and guidance. Kind Regards, I really hope i posted this in the right section.
  13. Re: Faery Kin (Balance) & Rules After reading all of your points, thoughts and tips on this issue i've come to the conclusion that i need to think harder on what fits best in the setting. And most likely give all of these options a "test-run" and see what the results are. I'll post the results here with a short description of how this setting is set-up. And hopefully you all wont mind giving me your 2-cents on that matter as wel. Cheers,
  14. Re: Faery Kin (Balance) & Rules Thanks for the warm welcome Lord Laiden. Complications, that is indeed an interesting way to work it out. Thanks for the tip i'll read up on possibilities. I cant wait to see what your colleagues have to say.
  15. Dear Forum and All of Its Inhabitants, I am here for i am suffering from a problem. I am hoping to start game mastering a Fantasy Setting / Campaign soon in which Faery's (Fae-kin like beings in this case) are one of the worlds many races. Here is my problem: I want the faery kin (if a player should decide to play one) to be / feel usefull in combat. Thus i am allowing them to have stats which are near equal to most of the other normal sized (human sized) races. But because of this it seems that the Racial Bonuses one gets for being a fairy (DCV - Shrinking and such) are proving to be quite unbalancing. Since they have equal STR and PD / ED. They are hard to hit and if one should be lucky enough to hit one they hardly take dmg for their as tough as the rest. So i came up with an idea: Make it so that when faeries are hit by anything normal sized (human size) they get increased dmg. And when attacking something anything normal sized they do decreased dmg. Thus allowing them to keep the stats instead of having them be lowered and have a player be unhappy for his fae-kin character got KO'd with 1 hit from your average gang member (considering they do get hit of course). Now i started searching but i cant seem to find any rule / guideline regarding this in the 6th edition books. Is this even worth thinking about? or am i just a complete nut-case for thinking this is a possible solution? I welcome any advice or tip regarding this issue...
