  1. Hey all, When I try to run the HDv3Setup.jar which is packed using IZpack it stalls during Setup Shortcuts. This happening to anyone else? I'm running Windows 10 and IZpack 5.1.3 and Java 8 update 281 Kyle
  2. Steven, Do you have any advice on adapting the Fantasy Hero mass combat rules to Champions? I would like to emulate a large scale super-hero battle ala the attack on NYC in "The Avengers." Thanks, Kyle Stoddard

This is a truly awesome character concept! Well done Banakles!

Excellent character concept, Jon! I'll be stealing her for my campaign.... Thanks!
  5. This is the best combat record I've seen. Use it for every adventure! You make great stuff Tasha, keep it up.
  6. Outstanding! You are the best designer around Hyper-Man!
  7. Hmmm, why did you reduce his speed? I thought he was pretty good in the 1.1 version.
  8. Excellent job! I love the background. He is a true, blue silver/bronze age hero. He would fit right in to my campaign, "Improbable Comics." I also love that you used a Champion's Online character costume! Kyle

A simple prefab to use for Gigantic sized characters so you can copy and paste the 11 characteristics to your powers tab. The other size templates will follow. Thanks to Steve Long for his help as I am somewhat obtuse at times!
  10. Hey Everyone, I'm wondering if the point values for the Size Templates on pg. 443 of 6e1 are actually correct. It seems to me that they left out the "persistent" advantage to "stretching" used to simulate longer reach to be zero END. Also, the point cost for "Gigantic Hands and Feet" which makes HTH attacks area effect appears wrong. My calculations indicate it should cost 60 points instead of 30. Is there an errata on this? Or am I missing something. If there is another thread that discusses this, please point me to it. Thanks in advance. Kyle
  11. Actually, it's just the way I think. In my mind, "+1 OCV" is "advantageous" to that's where I default. You're probably right and I'm making it too difficult. Kyle
  12. Awesome work! You've taught me a lot about designing weapons in Hero Designer. One note: Flash Suppressors don't hide the muzzle flash from the "enemy" but rather protect the low light vision of the shooter. Keep up the good work! Kyle
  13. Honestly, it's just how my mind works; as in "+1 to OCV or RMod is "advantageous" over weapons without them. Perhaps I make things to complicated.
  14. Awesome work Christopher! Are the character backgrounds available anywhere? Kyle Stoddard

This prefab contains the first "ray weapons" created in the fledgling super-hero world of "Improbable Comics." They reflect working weapons based real life concepts that have actually been tested. The circumstances of "Improbable Comics" have provided technology, materials and "ideas" that made "ray guns" a reality, albeit very rare and expensive. If you have suggestions for changes or modifications, I am completely open to any input. Kyle Stoddard

    Dr. Ego

    Version 1.1

    75 downloads

Dr. Ego is a former Russian FSB spy who invented a drug that gives him powerful mental abilities while working as a mole at a U.S. pharmaceutical company. Betrayed by his FSB handler and wife, who was also a spy, Dr. Ego joined the hero team the "Vanguard" to try and bring down the mysterious international crime cartel "Illuminatus" who corrupted the only women he ever loved. Note: Dr. Ego is a 6th edition update of a character my friend Craig created many years ago before he passed away. This is a small tribute to him. If you have any critiques or suggestions I am completely open to them, hoping to refine my character design skills. Feel free to use her in your campaign if you like. I recommend using the TashaUltimateCharaterSheet when printing out this character. Kyle Stoddard P.S. The Vanguard is based in Miami and is the world's second super-hero team, in a world where meta-humans have only been in existence for around 6 years. The team consists of the heroes (players) The Black Hand, Iron Knight, Speed Metal, Voltage, (NPCs) Surefire, Primeforce, Dr. Ego and, occasionally, (player) Corona. They are all based on 400 points, but have earned around 25 exp. The Vanguard is sponsored by enigmatic billionaire "Roark" (secretly a meta-human calling himself "The Night Shade," but not yet a public figure) and operate off of a 25 acre estate north of Miami on Biscayne Bay. The picture of Dr. Ego was created using the Champions Online character creation system.
