  1. Yes, I typically limit it to 12-15 in my games.
  2. All, I remember reading a rule a while back about "capping" damage, especially in realistic games, at 2x the base weapons damage. To simulate that no matter how strong you are, you can't more than double the damage due to weight and size of the weapon limitations. Does anyone else remember where this is from?
  3. Thank you all for the help, it is very appreciated.
  4. Thanks all!!! Yes, I am looking to make some specific powers and abilities for a Calvalry Knight in one of my Games. I alreayd looked at some of the cool powers in the MA book, like battle field mobility and such, which can easily be created with the limitation of "must be mounted" but I was looking specifically to build him a series of Martial Maneuvers that would also allow for a special Mounted combat style.
  5. Thank you so much. This is very helpful. So you don;t think there is a way to create a "mounted combat" Martial Art style with a bunch of Maneuvers that only work when you're mounted?
  6. Greetings, I am working to create some Combat Maneuvers for a Mounted Calvary Knight. Something like a "move through" Attack and such, but only usable when he is on his mount. How would I best represent this? Also, Are penalty skill levels, with limitations of "take extra time", the best way to represent "aiming" with a ranged weapon of some sort? So that a person may take extra phases to "aim"with a ranged weapon for a vital area? Thanks in advance.

  8. Hello, Regarding running and swimming speeds, NCM and CM, is the total distance covered per PHASE the character acts on, or for the total TURN? IE-Does it take all 10 seconds for them to cover that total distance, or do they do it per phase?
  9. Re: D.O.T s dont stack....why? Gotcha.....thanks guys! I am still waiting on my new books to come in! I appreciate the help!
  10. hey all, Does anyone have a good reason why when you take the limitation of Damage over time for a damage effect...it cannot be stacked? Is it just game balance, or is there another reason?
  11. Re: different summon powers Gotcha, thanks guys!
  12. Hey all, So I have a player who has a very comlex summon zombie power....now the issue is, we hate the task based system of them hanging around....we want it to be more free form than that and maybe be depicted by END or something....like say: when he summons the zombie he buys it an amount of endurance and it burnes through it as it exists...then dies, or needs to be refilled. Any ideas? Cheers.
  13. Re: House rules: speed, height advantage, gang up bonus, facing, dodging? Not sure if someone posted this yet....As for the SPD issue....Look at APG Vol1. It has several rules for different uses of speed and the initiative system. One of which I used immediatly with great effect. Also, remember the game is wonderfully balanced mathmatically, I would be very hesitant to alter any rules(except for some powers and their effects maybe...depending on your needs)
  14. Re: Little help with effect modifier Cool, Thanks all! I appreciate it. I will get it written up and posted and see what you guys think....
  15. Hey all, I am old to gaming, new to Hero and using the 6th edition system for a home brewed world...im the first right So I had to issues I was unable to find in building some powers.... 1.) I want a power to cost something OTHER than END to use...to make it a bit more severe on the weilder.....like power costs STUN to use... what would you write that up as? 2.) I have a character that has vocal powers that must be heard to be effective....but there is no "must be sensed" limitation in the book that I saw. Again how would you write it up? I looked at the "requires a roll" to use and thought about REVERSING the roll tot he victim...as in if they fail their PER test, they dont hear it and thus are immune....but is there a better way? Besides Variable limitaion? Thanks for your support! Dave
