  2. Hello All, I'm trying to work out an idea for Endurance Reservoirs for my game. I have a very detailed view point on the Reservoirs but not sure how to build. Order of Sovereignty Lead, Tin, Zinc, Iron, Silver, Adamantine, Copper, Gold, Orichalcum, Loadstone *The above order is used to determine what happens when one Reservoir come within proximity (1m) of another. In effect a Lead reservoir suspends the function of all other reservoirs. While Tin would negate the function of Zinc, Iron etc., (How do you build the above Power???) Magic Capacity Each of the above types of materials affect how much endurance the Batter can hold. The Minimum is equal to the casters skill roll in the magic school. Example: Caster has an -18 in magic. He thus can have up to 18 Endurance (at minimum) in a battery. (Silver and Zinc have a multiple of 1.5, Gold is times 2, and Orichalcum is times 3) (How do you build the above Power???) Special Effects: Each of the Metal Types has a special power that happens when charged. Example: A copper Reservoir will negate Electrictal damage on a 1 for 1 basis, that means that the reservoir will expend an equal amount of endurance as it negates electrical damage. Examples: The Copper End Reservoir has 18 points of endurance, the caster gets hit for 2 body and 12 stun. The end battery will negate all of the damage but lose 12 endurance in the process. The Gold End Reservoir has 18 points of endurance, the caster gets hit by a soul stealing spell for 3 body and 9 End, The end batter will engate all fo the damage but loses 9 Endruance in the process. (What would be the disadvantage value for the extra end expendature?) Destruction: The Reservoir if it reaches 0 Endurance is destroyed. (What would be a fair disadvantage value for the above? So in short I have no clue as to how to mechanically build these end reservoir's in champoins. So far I've just been adhocking it. However I've started using resource points and I'm trying to find a fair value for these End Reservoirs in the game. Any thoughts would be great.
  3. If I had a character with, lets say 9 DC's of Damage Negation physical, and he was being attacked by..oh 6 bad guys with a maximum damage of 2d6 HKA's described as swords. Would I be immune to any and all damage that they could do with their swords. Now what happens if the above group of bad guys decide to coordinate attacks,. and make their rolls. It seems to me sense the DC's are negated from each attack I would take no stun sense they can't roll dice. Of course the above is one way to look at it, however I'm building an encounter for my group and I really would like to know if the above is about true. If so I can't give the big bad boss Damage Negation, and expect the heroes to use Teamwork to beat him, now can I. Your rules calling would be great thanks.
  4. Re: Magic and END cost? Hello All, For the game I'm running I used option 2. However I added a slight twist, the characters get to chose either to be a mundane (no magic), a Lower Mage (15pt end pool, that only recovers after six hours of rest, then it recovers completely) or a High Mage (30 pt end pool, that only recovers after six hours of rest, then it recovers fully. I just let them by the perks and say this is your end pool, and here is how it recovers. The Lower Mage is a 5 point perk, while the High mage is a 10 point perk. It keeps the spell casting down to mostly combats and I've found has generated a lot of tactics. I've also added a way to get magical items that store their on end, nothing over 15 points however. The characters a loving it, and I find it works for my group both in simplicity as well as functionality.

I'm assuming if I'm reading the mechanics correctly, that is spell allows the creator of the rune to determine what the Aid will effect at the time of creation. Thus it encompasses a lot powers but only some many runes can be created. Very Sexy. However I'm not sure but should it not be only to aid self? sense the token is used by the person holding it, kinda like how potions don't need usable by other? I could be completely off base with this, but I'm just checking. However I love the concept.

However I'm using the 6th Grimoire Alchemy spells as a guide for this and every single one of them has the "Extra Time (6 Hours to brew; -3 1/2) limiter with out the activation only reduction. Thus until I can find an errata on that subject I have little choice but to reference a pre-existing spell setup. But thankyou for the great Idea on Lambe, I actually built the exact same spell that you did for Anto (Mouth), but I do think that Lambe (tongue) is a far better fit. Here is a new one SULE, THE RUNE OF SPIRIT Effect: Detect Spirits, Perceive into the void. Target:One Character Casting Time: 1 Hour, crafting time, Casting Procedures:Focus, Gestures, Incantations Duration: 1 Hour Range:Touch Magic Roll Penalty:-3 END Cost: 3 to craft Charges: 1 Description:This token gifts the character with the ability to see sprits both partial physical manifestations and non physical manifestations.   11. Hello Everyone, I've been running a Fantasy Hero game for a little while, and I'm wanting to put in a new style of magic. The magic works by inscribing runes into small tokens, you can then use the tokens at a later time to get the benefit of the spell. An example spell is as follows: SILME, RUNE OF STARLIGHT: Nightvision, Delayed Effect (x2 number active; can carry up to INT in tokens); Extra Time (1 Hour, crafting time, -3), 1 Charge (-2), OAF Expendable (Easy to obtain new Focus; a small bit of hardened candle wax; -1), Requires A Roll (Rune Magic: Elven roll; -1/2), Time Limit (6 Hours; -1/2), Gestures (-1/4), Incantations (-1/4), Cost to player 1 pt. *I divide the real cost by 3 just like in the base fantasy setting I'm using the Lord of the Ring Elven Language Tengwar Queny for the base Runes and the description of what they mean. the below image is the bases for each of the spells. These are short-duration strikes and other small-scale offensive actions conducted as a special operation in hostile, denied, or politically sensitive environments and which employ specialized military capabilities to seize, destroy, capture, exploit, recover, or damage designated targets. DA differs from conventional offensive actions in the level of physical and political risk, operational techniques, and the degree of discriminate and precise use of force to achieve specific objectives.Activities within DA include the following: Raids, Ambushes, and Direct Assaults. These are operations designed to achieve specific, well-defined and often time-sensitive results. They are sometimes beyond the effective strike capabilities of conventional force elements. Such operations typically involve attacks on critical targets, interdiction of LOCs or other target systems, capturing designated personnel or material; or the seizure, destruction, or neutralization of adversary facilities or capabilities. We the characters being a group of experienced supernatural hunters have just been drafted. That seems to be the crux of the problem. The ST has asked myself to look into possible packages that we will be givien after a brief time period of training. UAR operations are designed to seek out, contact, authenticate, and support military and other selected personnel as they move from an adversary-held, hostile, or sensitive area to areas under friendly control. Counterterrorism (CT). These are operations that include the offensive measures taken to prevent, deter, preempt, and respond to terrorism. SOF's role and additive capability is to conduct offensive measures within DOD's overall combatting terrorism efforts. SOF conduct CT missions as special operations by covert, clandestine, or low visibility means. SOF's activities within CT include, but are not limited to, intelligence operations, attacks against terrorist networks and infrastructures, hostage rescue, recovery of sensitive material from terrorist organizations, and non-kinetic activities aimed at the ideologies or motivations that spawn terrorism: Intelligence Operations. These are operations to collect, exploit, and report information on terrorist organizations, personnel, assets, and/or activities. SOF have the capability to conduct these operations in an overt, covert, and/or clandestine manner. Network and Infrastructure Attacks. These are operations that involve preemptive strikes against terrorist organizations with the objective of destroying, disorganizing, or disarming terrorist organizations before they can strike targets of national interest. Hostage or Sensitive Materiel Recovery. These are operations conducted to rescue hostages and/or recover sensitive materiel from terrorist control, requiring capabilities not normally found in conventional military units. The safety of the hostages and preventing destruction of the sensitive materiel are essential mission requirements. Non-Kinetic Activities. These are actions that are focused on defeating the ideologies or motivations that spawn terrorism by non-kinetic means. These could include, but are not limited to, PSYOP, IO, CA operations, UW and/or FID. So my question is pretty simple, how to build the first set of packages so that by the time a group of characters finish training they can attempt, and accomplish the above type of adventures?
