  1. Re: A Thread for Random Videos Yeah, Animaniacs got away with a several things. Generally you had to be watching closely (or have a slightly dirty mind) to catch them. A contribution. Very strange Japanese commercial. I have no idea what they're selling and I hope I haven't accidentally linked to some sort of porn... http://www.i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=36866
  2. Re: Odd Situation The player didn't try anything but the first two attacks, not even his attacks that did more damage, but weren't NND or even more NNDs. Just sort of gave up after the first two phases. I was mostly curious if I was reading the rules right and you could just Dodge for dozens of Phases without getting tired or or you DCV degrading or anything but thanks for the advice though!
  3. Re: Odd Situation Well, the player only tried two NND type attacks that didn't seem to do alot of damage then decided that he couldn't hurt the NPC in question and was going to Dodge for the next 15 minutes, never using his other attacks which generally did more damage. Even the NNDs did something just not enough to KO his opponent with just two attacks.
  4. In a fight scence currently underway, a PC has tried a couple of relatively small attacks that didn't have allot of effect on their opponent. Since they didn't work the PC has opted to martial dodge for rest of the fight until authorities arrive, about 15-20 minutes by estimation. With all their levels in DCV and Martial Dodge the NPC need a 3 to hit them. Mechanically it is sound but narratively it seems a little odd that there going to do nothing but evade after 2 attacks with little chance of getting hit for 1oo+ or so "phases" for their opponent and not even be tired. Its probably just the novice GM in me seeing something odd here since most of the systems I'm used to this tactic would be much more risky. But, am I doing something wrong?

Re: Pic of the day Speaking for my experience, yes he does. Neither the image of Stopwatch or Menagerie have a huge chest. Pinnacle is a well endowed, but I specfically requested that in my description of her.

Jeffery grew up in the late 20th century knowing his was “different†but never bold enough to experiment and find out just how. That is until he found the internet. Suddenly there was a place for him, safe, anonymous where he could explore the confused but compelling feelings inside him and become the person he truly was. Hedgeworth took the screen name “The Master†on several online chat rooms and adult MMORPGs, a consummate homosexual dominator and bondage play specialist. It was his secret world and his escape from the humdrum life of a married Midwestern accountant. Eventually though, he became bored with this. Typing and a plain screen weren’t enough and, filled with self loathing and guilt, Hedgeworth arranged a meeting with one of his online clients, another bored young man of the opposite bent. It might be a cliché, but perhaps it really was a match made in Heaven. The two clicked instantly and had one long weekend of passionate, painful sex that changed their lives forever. Hedgeworth’s more than his partner’s though. He found himself in more ways than one while wielding a whip. Most Novas describe their Eruptions as painful and a few describe an incredible bliss and sense of freedom. For Hedgeworth is was both. Pain and pleasure were always one for him and now he practically embodied that principle and The Master was truly born. Hedgeworth immediately understood what had happened to him. Using his new charisma and parlaying his new talents with the help of other “contacts†he’d made online, he open his own clubs across the country. Of course, he divorced his baseline wife with a generous alimony and child support arrangement as he wanted to take care of the responsibilities of his former life. He also bore his former family no ill will, despite the fact they publicly disowned him. He didn’t care one whit. It wasn’t like he needed them anymore. Today “The Master†is one of the more outspoken and controversial members of the Queen Nova Alliance, a consortium of Gay/Lez/Bi superhumans. He’s one of the founding members, yet has some views which are unpopular even among the group being almost militantly against “Straights†and “Prudes†and often vocally so. He’s done a few things to earn the QNA bad publicity in the past (such as “breaking in†the son of a prominent Southern Baptist preacher and parading him around a Gay Pride demonstration in a leather thong). There have been a couple of attempts on his life, but The Master considers it the price of being a “revolutionaryâ€.

Re: Pic of the day Its sort of what I imagined "The Master" from Aberrant's Queer Nova Alliance looks like. I'll see if I can work up some stats in a while.
  8. Re: Jane's Superhumans Check my edit.
  9. Re: Jane's Superhumans I agree here. There would be many many semi legitimate and safer ways for a precog to make money. But you know someone would try something like this. Fast Money is an incredible temptation. The Champions Universe's answer to Tobin's Spirit Guide, or maybe Who's Who and What's that?
  10. Re: Jane's Superhumans Well, that's pretty much what I meant. The fact you can be blacklisted isn't going to stop someone from trying this scheme. Or one hopefully more complicated. Dealing with it is going to be more complicated than just kicking people out that win too much. Personally, I don't think most casinos would even bother. The thread seems to have taken the path of aggressive agreement. The risk of being blacklisted isn't going to stop this sort of thing in a world with precogs, since it was brought up as a deterrant. That was my point. I have no idea what yours was or why exactly your doing the online equivalent of the Superior Strut, but whatever floats your boat.
  11. Re: Jane's Superhumans This thread kind of shoots down Aberrant's whoke"Elites dominating warfare" situation and makes Godlike's no real impact set up seem far more likely.
  12. Re: Jane's Superhumans So the general consensus is that most PC level supers are pretty useless against Military forces and in a realistic superhuman world that operated by Champions rules supers would mean diddley to the military? Huh...our gm has definately been pulling punches or using alternate rules or something. Informative thread...
