Re: The cranky thread This day has stunk with a level of stinkitude that has not been reached before in my recent or long term memory. I tried to go shopping to make myself feel better but on a Saturday afternoon in December, that wasn't happening. I couldn't even get into the parking lots much less find a space. I mailed off my Secret Santa gift but they said there was a new law that my name had to go on the package. If I had had a good AOE energy blast, that place would now be smoking ashes. I gave a good tip at lunch and cuddled OddHat to make myself feel better, although he started this whole mess. I am having trouble typing. If I were Dexter, it would be time for someone to die.

Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread A friend whom I thought was through with me called me tonight. She is a two-year Cancer Survivor who got the good news she is in Remission and since she has been for two years, the chances of it returning have halved again. She explained that she was scared and therefore isolated herself. We will hang out together on Friday. One more time: If your friend stops calling and returning your calls, 99.999999 % of the time it has NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with you.

Re: The cranky thread I think the Holiday Blues are coming on. I tried playing the Trans Siberian Orchestra's CD and didn't like it. I tried my Dad and Mom's Christmas music, listened to Bing sing "White Christmas" and just felt worse. I want to play my Very Special Christmas CD, but the first song on that is "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" and I hate that. They have it on the other VSC CD too. Really, that song stinks. Maybe the Grinch ? Maybe I'll just play my Necronomicon CD. It's about how I'm feeling right now.

Re: The cranky thread The new pajamas are freakin' huge. They fit. Canned food for dinner. Bleah. I miss good sleep. I have no energy to do anything and my eyes look horrible. Can't leave the house without makeup. Yet I have a good life, good home, good car, good cats, great Husband. He just bought me a third Christmas present. But it's hard to be happy when you feel like a New Mother.

Re: A Thread for Random Musings OddHat is not happy. His Mom brought a gallon tub of vanilla Haagen Dazs over on Thanksgiving and left it here. In the past three days, OddHat has ingested almost all of it and is miserable that he has repeatedly gone off his nutrition plan. So, being the good Wife I am, I snuck down to the freezer, pulled what is left out, doused it in Palmolive and threw it in the trash. OddHat went to bed more than two hours ago. In the morning it will be a soapy puddle. I LOVE MY HUSBAND AND DO NOT WISH HIM TO BE UNHAPPY AND SICK. Even if he huffs and puffs a little, I think he will be glad the temptation is gone.
