  1. Re: Skill Sponge KS: Everything 30- (Only for what people nearby know. -2) Then add in Absorption linked to Intellgence. The more you bang your head against the wall, the smarter you get.
  2. Re: Skill Sponge I think Telepathy with a few levels of Cramming (-2 only what can be read )would do it. Thought I do like the KS:Anythingwith the -2 limitation. If you want to gain all the skills in the room, then it's area effect. Wooga. X dice of Telepathy, (Invisible to mental senses +1/2, AE:Radius, or Any Area) [only to read -1/2, only to gain others skills -1] X levels of Cramming [only for skills learned thru telepathy -1/2, skills are lost when person leaves area affected by Telepathy] Personally,I'm not to crazy about the VPP skill set. But then again, it's not my campaign. )
  3. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... D&D game, the party cleric hits a zombie with a mace and does good damage. Player: "Is he dead?" Me, the GM: "Yep, he sure is." Roll dice. "You take 5 HP from him." Player: "Crap"
  4. Re: Stats for a Webley? Dug out one of my old supplements called The Armory, written by Kevin Dockery. It was printed in 1983, which made me feel much older than I act considering I bought it new. The origional stats were for Mercenaries, Speis and Private Eyes and Espionage. It has two Webleys in it. [1] The Webley Foster Self-Cocking Revolver. It was adopted in 1901, had a caliber of 11.43x19mmR and had a muzzle velocity of 650 fps. It was also the heaviest pisto round used by the British military. Plenty of other mundane stats that I'll just skip over. [2] The .455 Webley Mark 6. british Revolver adopted in 1915. Muzz Vel of 600 fps. "Prior to the acceptance of the Browning HP-35, this revolver was a standard issue sidearm of the British army. The revolver fires a very heavy, slow moving bullet that is now considered obsolete. The weapon is easy and quick to load due to the top break action of the Webley. To load or unload the weapon, a lever is pressed down on the side allowing the pistol to fold in half, automatically ejecting any firing cases. The very strong design makes for a heavy, but very reliable, pistol." Game Stats: Webley-Foster: +1 ocv, -1 rng mod, 1d6 RKA, +1 stun mod, STR Min 8 Webley Mk 6: +1 ocv, -1 rng mod, 1d6 RKA, STR Min 8 Geez, Do they even have - 1 rng mod's anymore? I think those stopped at third edition. Someone help me get my Little Rascal started so I can get back to the home...
  5. Re: How to: Three guys with one bullet. Indy shooting three guys with one bullet? Now I have to go dig the trilogy out to watch it again. I would say for Indy it was Luck. As for anone else, AE:Line Selective truly seems the best way to go. You still have to get them all lined up which most villians are not willing to do. Darn them! Darn them to Heck!! (The above exclamation reviewed and censored by your open minded and not overbearing FCC. Thank you for your support.)
  6. Re: Trek Hero PDF available This is great stuff! I recently re-started an older Star Hero campaign and just as a goof, when they went to talk to the local Police, they saw it was Officer Hooker. I had previously decided to have all incarnations of Shatner in my campaign at some point or other. I've even gone to http://www.IMDB.com to see what else he's done. One of my female players has declared that she is going to sleep with every incarnation of him that shows up. Her character is not a slut (nor is she LOL), but the player loves Shatner. Now if I can only find his music to play while gaming... Oh yes, by special request, one of the other players wants to see a bar brawl in an Officers Bar between a drunken Kirk and Picard. Hey, when a player gives you a great idea, go with it!
  7. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Super Squirrel... Half Squirrel, Half Robot, Completely Nuts Coming Soon to a Discusion Board near you. PS: Barney & Ally Hartman first trademarked Mountain Dew in the 1940's. A secret Nazi experiment to induce sleep deprivation in the youth of America? Don't they grow coffee in Argentina? The Conspiracy deepens...
  8. Re: Keeping that vital character alive. How about +6" of Running (only after taking Body -1). AAAHHH! Run away!
  9. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Thank you for the welcome. Glad to be here. I know there's big time differences, but lots of us do seem to forget about sleeping. Does anyone think it might be a sleep deprivation conspiracy led by Mountain Dew?
  10. Re: Longest Running Thread EVER Noticing the time of the posts, why don't we bring up the subject of Insomnia & Gamers...
