Re: Why are robots always immortal? Bear in mind that the computers we use these days are built to breakdown. Much like the lightbulb, it is possible to develop one that never ever burns out. But if they made THOSE available to the public then we'd never have to replace any of our lightbulbs, or computers, and therefore the industries would suffer greatly. And that's my conspiracy theory for the day.

Re: Dogfighting What do you mean by "Energy"? Are you referring to kinetic energy? And what would be the purpose of depicting it; what kind of combat affect are you trying to recreate? As far as diving and climbing; it's tough playing in three dimensions although it is possible to simulate it. I would assume that in a climb you'd suffer a DCV and movement penalty because you lose maneuverability and velocity as you go ballistic whereas in a dive you'd gain a DCV and movement bonus as you gain manueverability and velocity because your relative airspeed is increasing thanks to gravity and you have more airflow over the ailerons. What those penalties/bonuses should be, I'm not quite sure.

Re: Dogfighting I wrote an article in Digital Hero #19 called Piloting Maneuvers. I basically took the custom martial arts structure from UMA and applied it to piloting a fighter, so you can do Grab Bys with a tractor beam, straffing maneuvers and the like. Check it out.

The Malay Coins - After inadvertently foiling a museum robbery, Our Heroes get caught up in a race to recover seven mysterious coins which, when put together, show the way to a fabulous, long-lost treasure! After acquiring the coins they proceed to the Orient to try to recover the treasure, only to run afoul of Li-Ming Jade, Pirate Queen of the South China Sea! Only 3 bucks! w00t!

Re: Three New Hero Plus Adventures Now Available! I have a few Star Hero/Terran Empire adventures that I plan to make into HPAs, I just need to find the time to do them. One involves time travel and the other involves Our Heroes helping free an oppressed planet from the clutches of an evil mining corporation.

Re: Freedom Virus? Okay, so, I found it. Actually, Steve found it. It wasn't the Freedom Virus... it was the Independence Virus. It was on page 33. Of Spacer's Toolkit. The book I wrote. Nothing to see here, just a guy losing his mind. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

I think I'm losing my mind. I could have sworn that somewhere in Terran Empire or another Star Hero book that made a reference to the Freedom Virus, a virus that infects androids and robots that gives them the desire to be free from the oppression of their sentient owners. But I can't find it anywhere. Did I make it up? HEEEEEEEEELP!

When I did character conversions for Omlevex, I wrote up Taunt as... +20 PRE; Only for PRE Attacks and PRE Defense while Talking in Combat The nature of the PRE Attack is simply to goad the opponent, so your character could be talking some mad smack and then make the PRE Attack with the bonus.
