I conceded that at the beginning.

But I also think there's a line between a sci-fi campaign and a superheroes campaign.  Aliens invading every few years, or a divided Earth that geopolitically hasn't changed much from our world, dealing constantly with alien empires as though they are just other nation states doesn't feel like the "real world" to me.  Everyone has different tolerances, of course.  I can tolerate superheroes and supervillains, costumes, little masks, constant break-outs, even anti-killing codes.  But massive, regular invasions of Earth by extraterrestrial entities is too much for me to believe that the world would really look like anything like ours + flying people in costumes.

That's the other reason I don't really like every enemy army having blaster rifles.  I know why they are there (the Silver Age concept that people can be shot, but not be killed).  But it's a step too far down the supertechnology route for me to keep it in a non-sci fi setting.

CU does go out of its way to have every trope.  I'm trying to figure out which ones can be easily excised, leave the setting intact, and satisfy my desire to have as little Silver Age influence as possible.

I do like the idea of the world being closer to emerging superheroes than in its seventh decade of having them run around all the time.  I just am not willing to construct a universe where the PCs (or whoever) would be the first.  I don't want to throw out all the continuity in CU (I like the setting), just enough of it to keep the world "believably" like our own, with the addition of superhumans who commit crimes, fight crime, and fight each other.

For ONce I'd have to agree with you  on some points. I've been setting up a Teen Champions Campaign on Discord and Facebook plus I've set up a club here @ HERO Games. Check it out why don't you?

    Thinking about a VIPER issue.

Blue Phantom: The multiple personally and geneticlly created lifeform with connections to The Dutchess and Dutchess Industry, and with there links to VIPER.

The Dutchess: Dutchess Henrietta Von Dottie, head of Dutchess  Industy, and one of VIPER's Council of Forty. One of the most dangerous normal women in the world.

Black Mamba: Scientist who was inficted by the COIL Virus, and was one of Doctor Blank's assistants and rival in science. Became a Dragon Branch member after a long time trying to cure himself of the virus by becoming a supervillain.

Crital: A mutant and ex-superhero who after a scandal turned to crime. She later joined VIPER and became a Dragon Branch member.

Brick: A man who's mind can't remember his past and with a body litterly made up of bricks, he has been VIPER's strongman for a long time.

Don't You Mean Citadel? sheesh get the name right!

Don't forget Mass Reaction and Psi-Kin Plus the Braverman foundation. from ALLIES

Well, Freddy is going to be Freddy. Whenever he is mentioned, he wants to say "Here I am...tremble from the fearsome might of Foxbat...hay, stop laughing!"

Sometimes I wish he were forgotten...

Possibility: since Foxy has 6th ed stats ,why not create a spinoff from his motif?

And how about the Arcadian Academy from the C:TNM Books?

Ok folks. I just noticed an announcement for a new product. "Forgotten Enemies #1". The first one focuses on Gryphon, Halfjack (who had 5th edition stats in the VIPER book), and Hideous. I don't own this book yet, but, well...

Is Halfjack still a member of VIPER's Dragon Branch?

Is Hideous still the rampaging beauty smasher, or is he more akin to Jason Vorhears, killing anyone who enters his territory? Has Gryphon devolved into a mindless beast, or has he recovered some human intelagence?

Also, who would YOU like the author to tackle next? Mine is Timemaster, followed by Road Kill.

How about the  Corruptors Of All ,Deathstroke, ATLAS, Utility, Fire&Ice Jabberock Spectra[they're bOyfriend and Girlfriend respectively] Beamline,Monpole, and a host of others?

So, after hearing about this great book, what should we be expecting about this book? What organizations should be in it? Why? Who should be put aside? Why?

First Off, an update on PRIMUS and the status of the Super-Soldier Program.

Then  a Revision of SAT [Special American Tactics] WITHOUT the Anti-Mutant Mentality, we've got enough of that from GENOCIDE.

Speaking of which, it needs to be revised along with IMAGE it's pro mutant Counterpart.

Then Add a Japanese version of PRIMUS as well as a Korean/Chinese/Vietnamese counterpart.

Then bring back AXIS as a Neo-Nazi/White Supremacist org with tech advancements.

  7. Dreamstar's equivalent is Knight Terror. Given a knight's black armor studded with broken godstones of the godstone based magical girls it has killed, it has no magical abilities of it's own, but is extremely anti-magical in nature. Nothing the Court of Dreams can directly cast upon it can affect it.

Unless it's his arrogance that dreamy can exploit or his  chivaric honor which can be used against him.

  8. Info on the COVENS----

Although they are both in agreement in aknowloging the COURT as their enemy, both groups are differing in how to create their COVENs .

DEMON decides to Unleash demons that can gendermorph Possessed females into males[see above examples], The Circle empowers young female deciples with Dark Sorceries  to counter the Godgems of the Court and their Knights endowing them dark magics powerful enough to match them.

But will their powers be enough to battle the Court's Allies?

Fortunately for the Court, both covens have a Archilles' Heel---- The inabilitiy to work together as a team. DEMON's Coven GB villians each have enormous egos while the Circle's all female coven each have a seed of jealousy and vanity, weaknesses that the Court can easily exploit to their advantage.

  9. Ladies and Gentlemen---- Behold The COVEN OF NIGHTMARES!

In their many decades of rivalry there is the one team that both DEMON and The Circle of the Scarlet Moon  have in common to hate: The Court Of Dreams!

for years these rivals in evil competed in endeavors of demonic evil for world domination only to be thwarted by the seven maidens of order commissioned by the Trismegiestious Council, despite attempts at assassination and abduction plus continued attempts at mystic extortion. The only way to destroy them is to create a team of witches to match each member of the Court starting with a leader who can match Dreamstar magic for magic.

    Coven Of NightMares

Sponsors: CIRCLE of THE Scarlet Moon, DEMON

    Members: Seven

Criteria: Match the powers and abilities of the Court

Dreamstar: Power of dreams and sorcery[Celestial Power]

Moon Mystic: Powers of the Moon and Control of tidal gravities

Oceana: Power of the element water and the climate magics

Animalia: Powers and ablities of the Animal kingdom[plus mythic creatures]

Evergreen : Powers of the Earth and the Plant kingdom.

SunSpell: powers and magics of fire and the Sun.

Logika: Powers of probabilities Time and knowledge of magic

Lady Heart: Power of love and magic of positivity.

    Power creation: Emersion of Dark Magics[Circle of Scarlet Moon], Demon Possession [DEMON}

  10. Back in 2014 I went through a major Lulu phase, pulling together PDFs and making "deluxe" hardcovers for many things. Only a couple of them were Hero System related. Among the other books I had made was this deluxe hardcover collection of the old FASERIP books:

These are fat hardcovers with full-color interior pages. Each one cost me about as much as a brand new college textbook, and that's after applying a substantial discount. The fun part was designing the cover graphics and, of course, seeing the final product in all its glory.

I'm betting that you've got them from the same place where I've got HD V2; Noble knight Games

  11. I drew this about a month ago...rehashing the process over and over...this was originally "Steelfist"...Ironman knockoff that I used a few times...tons of power, just never got the feel for the character, so he became a very useful NPC.  I wanted to redesign him, and my current concept for my own world involves a variety of themes, such as magic, steampunk, and alien tech...so I redesigned him as "Ironforge" with a steampunk concept...except now I look at him and think..."I gave a schizophrenic an American Express Black card, and set him loose in a 1930's government supply depot..."  I like the design, but I'm not settled on it...he's in the 9' range, but I'm thinking of redesigning again, making him more like a Titanfall mech...or the Veronica Hulkbuster...tell me what you think... (his current colors are going to be metallic, bronzes, copper, steel gray and black were applicable)

Think You can do some of my Characters for my Campaign? I need PCs to attract players to my campaigns.
