Lets say Catwoman had special martial arts skills or the Joker had some special power. Perhaps Batman could have some special power. Gotta even the playing field for both villons and heros.

Re: Team Black Eagle John Dunns "Secret" Team John has Team Black Eagle wich is well known among the commando, spy, and LE community. But, He has a secret team that only he knows exsist. This secret team consists of: Tina Lin: an ex Korean opprative who John met while on a mission to North Karea. While there, Her brother was aiding John and ended up killed in an ambush attack. Tina became Johns contact and guid for the highly classified mission. Tinas Skills include Martial arts and gymnastics. Her small size makes it easier for her to not be detected sneaking into and out of areas and buildings. Tess Martin: Ex CIA agent who came to John to hire him to help her when she discovered her agency opratives were corupt. Tess skills include Electronic survailance and other investigation skills. Karen Hilliard: Ex sheriffs deputy and EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Center) Instructer. John hand picked her after seeing her on the track. Karens experties is high performance high speed and emergency driving. SHe also brings her LE training to the team. Black Eagle secret team was formed after Team Black Eagle members were presumed dead after a cartel leader faked their deaths and captured them. John keeps this team secret because he is fearfull of what would happen to them if people found out about them. The less people know the better is what he figures. The Secret team can go in and do things and get out before anyone even knows they were there.

Re: Team Black Eagle "Jennas Return" finnalie Jena was driving the SUV and its cargo back to the rondevue point when all of a sudden on the radio she hears the anouncer in spanish say "Breacking news! drug cartel leader Jaun Gonzales was killed in a raid" the announcer continues. "Wanted in the killing is notorious anti cartel commando John Dunn." Jena gets back to the C130. She tells John what she heard. "You can no longer step foot in Mexico ever again" Jena told John. "you think wanted by the Mexican government is going to stop me from takeing on the cartels?" John replied. "Maybe not, I heard your a bit crazy like that" Jena said. "Lets get this stuff secure and head home" John told Jena. They put everything away and secured in the cargo plane and take off. An hour latter they make their approach to Black Eagle Island base. A female voice comes in on the radio. "Welcome home honey". The voice said. "Thanks I got a surprise for you" John told her. They land and slowly taxi to the end of the runway and swing the plane around for prep[eration of possible quick departure. John steps off the ramp and Sherri is waiting for him. They give eatchother a long embrace and a kiss. Sherri sees Jena walking down the ramp and runs over to her. "Oh my gosh Jena." They give eachother a big hug. Jena tells Sherri the whole story and why she faked her death. John agrees to keep her on the team.

Re: Storm Of Lead - Your Thoughts? Then you have weapons built into vehicles such as Armored trucks and of course Helecopters. Specialty "weapons" such as those make great advantage. Good examples of that are Airwolf and Streethawk. One is a helecopter built for combat and stealth. The other is an armed motercycle able to do high speeds and other stunts.

Re: What elements should a great superhero setting contain? Every superhero universe sould have a suport mechanism for its heros. Heros need people they could turn to. Perhaps this could be other heros. Alo I think a great arch vilon like Lex Luthor or The Joker would be essential. Maybe even a few surprises thrown in.

Re: Team Black Eagle Continuing "Jenas Return" Back at the airfield Jena waits to move. All of a sudden the antique plane explodes in a ball of flames. The men near the SUV run for the exploded plane. Jena makes her move. She runs for cover. She finds it next to a crate next to the hanger.As she pulls the .45, Black Eagle comes into view. John draws the guars attention by firing the 50 calaber guns. Jena moves again. This time she reaches the SUV. When the plane exploded it drew the attenton of the occupants and guars in the house a quarter mile away. Within seconds a group of guys with AK 47s assemble and jump into the bed of a camo colored pick up truck. John spots them on radar. "Jena you gotta get out now" "A pick up full of guys with guns will be at your location in aproximently 60 seconds". Jena hops in the SUV and takes off. once Jena is a safe distance John fires off a rocket at the pick up. "Threat nutralised" John said to Jena through the com link. "Meet at the rondevue point." Once they both were both at the C130 they still could not relax just yet.

Re: Modern Action Hero adventure seed- Perhaps in a world of spies and highly clasified commando units perhaps a good story would be the ore tanker was carying more then just gold ore. A good scenerio would play off the fact that it was comeing from Russia. What would potentialy be snuck out of Russia? Maybe a nuke or other weapons?

"What will Sherri think" she thaught. "Willvthings have changed between us?" It had been five years sinse she faked her death. The whole wold asumed she was dead. Little did she know or think that her sister would hire a team of private commandos to go after her suposid killer. She had to get her mind off all that for now. She had a mission to complete. After being with John Dunn for 24 hours, she realised she would like to be a part of Team BlackEagle. Therefore she knew she had to make a lasting impression. Its one thing to be Johns sister in law. Its another to show him you can do what needs to be done for the Team. Finnaly she arrives at the edge of the airfield and crouches down so not to be seen. Meanwile John Dunn is makeing his preperations. "Engage guns" John speaks through the mic to Black Eagles weapons system. With that out comes two 50 calaber machine guns ready to fire. "Engage misiles". With that out comes a pod of four stinger misiles.

Re: Modern Action Hero adventure seed- Still when you say 700 tons does sound like alot and would be tempting to someone who didnt know better. Remember criminals arnt typicly that bright to begain with . They always end up getting caught.

Re: Modern Action Hero adventure seed- Real life events often make for the basis of story ideas. I often imagin my chairacter and his team dealing with rl crisis isues in the news. Sometimes in our stories it works out where we creat the scenerio and it happens in rl afterwards. I can think of a few scenerios that could happen to a 700 ton gold ore tanker. Imagine how many scavanger divers are there in the area trying to find and claim any wreckage.

Jena in the RIO (Rear Information Officer) seat spots activity on the ground. "Theres 5 guy two by the house and three by the airfield." she told John. The three by the air field were waiting for something. All of a sudden a DC 9 comes roaring out of the sky headed to land on the make shift landing strip. John watches and waits. He is in no hury. John Dunn rule#2 Dont ever be in a rush patiants pays off. He learned early in his commando career that you cant rush things like gathering intel and recon. His patiants on missions along with his ability not to lose control has kept him alive this long. The plane lands and taxies to the end of the runway where the three guys are waiting. The plane stops and its cargo door flies open. The pilot begains to hand the guys on the ground large bundles of cash. They load the money into the rear of a black Cadalac SUV. As the guys were offloading the planes cargo, John sees an oppertunity. He finds a place to safely land Black Eagle. "Ok Jena heres the plan, I will create a diverssion while you take the SUV. We will meet back at the C130." John tells Jena. Jena gets out of the cockpit and John hands her his Colt .45. Soon as Jena clears the roters of the black bird are once again rotating.

Re: Commando VS Bounty Hunter? The types of ops my chairacter takes as commando oftn involve NSA missions contracted. That couldbe nything from Hostage rescue to takeing out a rogue dictater. On the other side of things He goes down into Mexico after a dangerous criminal who skips bail. In real life if he got caught he could be sent to Mexican jail for kidnapping. The current mission under "Team Bl;ack Eagle" is one of bounty hunting.

Re: Super Transportation Wonder WOman has the invisable jet but never had a ground vehicle. She always ran everywhere. Diana Prince on the other hand (WWs alter ego) had a car. As much as I like the invisable jet she still had to get around on the ground.

My chairacter I created is kind of a crossover between cammando and bounty hunter. On the one hand commandos chase down bad guys. Then again so do bounty hunters. Both do it for profit. Just a matter of the ol Dead or alive thing. I think commandos would rather bring their bad guy back dead rather then alive. A bounty hunter on the other hand doesnt get paid for their man to be dead. So if you had a choice would your Dark Champions chairacter be either a commando or a bounty hunter?

Re: What Makes An Iconic Superhero Costume? A good Hero costume sould be distinguishable from normal everyday cloths. Sould includ a distinguishable logo. I believe a hero represents not just one country but the entire world so their costume sould not reflect ountry over another. Shoes sould be comfortable for the wearer. That doesnt disclude high heels. some people are more comfortable in heels vs flat shoes. Also a costume sould be practical in functionality. Most use spandex or other material that streaches easily. No matter what hero you are, it seems that your costume defines you as a hero.

In his mind she could be a fake luring him into something. He just doesnt know. As a black ops commandoyoulearnnot totrust anyone butyourself. Twice it has happend in hisown team infive years. Once his entire team waskidnapped then replaced by fakes. The second time a high power drug lord kidnapped two of the three. Makeing John believe they were dead. Sherry was ableto escape. As Jena and John were sitting there, she asked about her sister. John tells her "shes doing well. Right now she is at a Ti Kwan Doe tournament on the east coat." "That must befun for her she has always been into the martial arts." Jena replied. Darkness falls on the Mexican boarder. They can now move under the cover of darkness. Its midnight. They take off in the tandome seated stealth Eagle twards the drug lords compound. John flies at 5,000 feet to not be detected by ground forces. "hit the buttun that says grnd mvmt." john said to Jena as she is in the back seat with the non flight controls.

Re: Superhero Costume Party I had an interesting thaught while reading this thread. Batman comes dressed as Robin, Robin dressed as Batman Superman dresses as Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman dresses as superman. Its a cray idea I know but it just might work.

Re: Dnpc Without chairacters like Lois Lane and Jimmy Olson, the hero would not have anyone to rescue. There wouldnt be much Motivation there. Being a superheros friend has its drawbacks but just think if you ever were in peril you know your super buddy will be there to save you just in the nick of time.

Re: Team Black Eagle Chairacter history: I thaught I would take some time to discuss chairacter history for this story. The Main Chairacter obviously is John Dunn. Dunn grew up in the bayous of south Louisianna and joind the Army right out of highschool. The Army soon discoverd he had normal then average strength and was soon sent to Ranger school at Fort Bragg NC. There he honed his combat and recon skills. While in the Air Born Rangers, he took up high speed performances driving. After three years he was transfured to Black Ops. There he was given the code name "Black Eagle". It fit for his speed and skills far went beyond normal black ops soldures and his patritism is very high. While in Black Ops he was trained in flying attack choppers. Then September 11' 2001 happend. Two weeks after the fatefull Terorist attacks, Dunn along with three other Black ops soldures succesfully took on a Mission to capture the most wanted terrorist leader next to Bin Ladin. Soon after that mission, he was aproached by the directer of the NSA. He was assighned to the NSA and given a special project also code named Black Eagle. The project held 2 female team meambers and a very expiramental attack helecopter. While working for the NSA the team desided to also take on private missions for hire. It was durring a private mission that he met his wife Sherry. Jeana Henson, sister to Sherry Henson Dunn, is 3 years yonger then her sister. They grew up in east Texas. Both went into Law Enforcement at 21. Jena wanted more out of life then just being a Patrol Deputy in her small town so she joins the DEA. While at the DEA she learns alot of skills that will become very valuble in staying alive as a deep cover agent. In 2006 she was working deep cover in the Catalina cartel when she realised her cover was being blown. In order to save herself and stay deep cover she faked her death un known to her sister at the time. Fast forward to 2011 when she runs into John Dunn in the canteena.

Re: DEA and local police Good point Bolon. 20 years ago when I was with the local military explorer scouts we traind with the DEA. The big thing for them was they Love using flash bangs. stun and enter in scertain scenerios. But your right about the by the book training. Thats one reason we were there to give them non by the book responses. One thing about the DEA they are very closed lipped and will never talk about their training with non LE. I considerd myself lucky to be a part of their training.

Re: DEA and local police PS in Real life the DEA uses all kinds of resorces and scenerios to train by. That includes everything from urban scenerios to jungle and desert raids. ALL of wich are operated under the cover of darkness.

Re: DEA and local police One problem I see on either end, DEA or local LE, is the potential of having a baught off agent or cop involved in the bust. With advance warning, the cartels will have far larger fire power. Not to mention the advantage of home field so to speak.
