  4. short rant Rant on: You know what got to me about the last Season of Angel was that you had this really long storyline where the sun was being blotted out causing L.A. to riot and vampires going left and right killing people. Yet with all this going on not once do you see the U.S. government doing a damn thing about it! I mean this is a major U.S. city being blacked out with chaos ruling the day and nobody declares a state of emergency sends for the marines or anything! I spent all that time waiting ofr Riley and co. to show up doing some rescue attempts and imposing martial law but instead we see nothing! Rant over. P.S. And when are we going to see Cordy or Groo?! I miss Groo! And how long is Cordy going to be in that damn coma? Ok, Rant really over
  5. In my WWII supers campaign my characters are all in the military and have been formed as the Elites, a superpowered commando team. So I used the government superteam way of getting them together. In another supers game I had a more mystic masters kind of feel to it and created an old MU that got together a team of superheroes with all magic type backgrounds. One of major PC's in the game was Arcana, a female apprentice to the Master Mage who then took his place when he died at the end of the campaign.
  6. There are exceptions to this rule. I seem to remember Darla using twin autos on Buffy during the first season.
  7. Just please don't do the Tarzan from that stupid TV Series that came out recently.
  8. Actually there was one, he was called HulkBunny
  9. Try and get away as fast as I can. If I can for at least a little while I will try to either contact my other team members or if there is another team out there try and contact them for help provided I have enough time. I will tell them everything.
  10. Wrong about the cosmic rays, a supervillian team called the U-Foes got their powers the same way.
  11. Oh yeah, I remember him, he had a questonite bat as well.
  12. Grond, the idea is get raging beast, keep it under tight control via drugs or mental conditioning or what have you. Its my homage to the Hulk during a very early Heroes for Hire during its new run, or the Sasqautch which Alpha Flight thought was The former member Sasqautch. I would rather he be someone else, but I can't really see it being Goliath or Armadillo and they are the only Super strong characters I could properly remember. What about troll? does he exsist? I believe you are thinking of Ogre and yes he is in the new enemies book Conquerors, Killers and Crooks. Grond is also there as well some other classics as well as some new ones. Interestingly now that you mention it there was a plan by the military to control Grond called Project Greenskin. It involved controlling Grond by using neuro-electrodes and implanting them in his brain. It failed unfortunately causing many deaths. The whole story is in Champions Universe.
  13. I think as far as killing goes it really depends on the opponent and the story. If the villians is say a jewel theif leaving behind a velvet glove or something or a Foxbat type character then that is one thing. He should be taken out but not neccessarily killed, but if he is some Joker/Carnage type villian who is endangering innocent lives and killing without any remorse at all then that type of person should be taken out and killed. He is a mad-dog killer. Now that doesn't mean he is not protected by law and should not be taken prisoner but if it is between his life and the life of innocents at his mercy then killing him should not be a penalty against the character. I believe most superheroes, particulary sactioned ones should consider lethal force to be an option for their character in much the same way that police officers are. I mean let us get real here. Would anyone besides maybe Harley Quinn actually cry if the Joker got snuffed?
  14. The Allies sourcebook for Champions has a group called the Redeemed. They are ex-criminals who try to be a superhero team. Sort of a Thunderbolts style team except they were around before that.
  15. Ok, I am not an avid X-Men reader so I will probably sound ignorant but why do so many people on these boards hate Cable so much?
  16. Well it's been mentioned, but I would like to see Police cars, Fire/Rescue, Ambulances, as well as special civic servant vehicles. This would include Police Motorcycles as well as those big tank like vehicles they use. WWI-II Vehicles would be good too, especially for me since I run a game during that time. Also as stated before some 20's-30's stuff would be welcomed.
  17. This is good news, I will love when they bring more episodes on VHS or DVD. What time does it come on?
  18. I don't really have any input right now but I just wanted to say: Cool Picture.
  19. They even outsold the X-Men for a time.
  20. Hello all I have been thinking of using Mechas in my Golden Age Champions game as a new challenge for the heroes. I have seen an RPG/Wargame called Gear Krieg and I was wondering if you have any information about the game as well some rule conversions. I would appreciate any help I could get.
  21. Character that were from the above mentioned Avengers issue ThunderStrike HellCat, has since come back and is with the Defenders Dr. Druid WonderMan, since returned from the dead Mockingbird Swordsman Captain Marvel The Grim Reaper had corrupted and ressurected them and had them defeat the Avengers. The Scarlet Witch was able to use her chaos magic to rid them of the corruption and they saved their living Avengers before going to back to being dead.
  22. Re: Byrne & Donna The problem with John Byrne is that he can't leave things alone. He always has to reinvent or redo or retcon every character he does. Sometimes that is a good thing sometimes it isn't. Good Example: Fantastic Four, X-men, SuperMan Bad Example: SpiderMan Chapter One
  23. Re: Black Canary 2 Pardon me, but didn't she lose her sonic powers some time ago.
