Hi all, I'm an old member of these boards, and I haven't been around for a while. My group is picking up the Champions books again, but we are not upgrading to 6th ed. So, I'm wondering if the old 5th ed FAQ is around somewhere, so I can look something up. Can anyone provide a link? I've look in the Hero Resources document. Thanks, Constantine

Re: Best Graphic Novels to Inspire a Campaign? OK, I like the darker stuff, so if you ever wanna take a walk on the dark side... Sleeper - omfg I loved this series, at least the first season. Great book about an undercover operative who gets abandoned in the field. Wanted - when the villians finally decided they'd had enough of the heroes, and ganged up long enough to rule the world.... Authority - the book has become crap, but the first few books I thought were great. Get the first collection. Oh, and I second the nominations of Kingdom Come, Rising Stars, and Punisher!

I don't have a book in front of me, and I was just reading the Indirect attack and blocking question posed to Steve, and I had a thought. Can Area of Effect Hand Attack be blocked if you are not adjacent to the attacking character, but are in the area of effect? And, if it is possible, would said block spoil the entire attack, or would just the blocker be unaffected?

He'll fight this one, too, and hope something comes up/happens later that he can get home. Damnation - Depends on what the boss says, and the rest of the team wants to to. We've already dealt with Destroyer in our world, and if they wanna stay here and deal with this one too, so be it. After all, no one escapes Damnation.... Lightshow - She's too young and too new to the hero game to do something like this. She leaves.

Re: Sleeper Yes. I loved this comic. I'm sad its over. I think I started a thread about it on the NGD a while back. The setting would make for an excellent higher powered Dark Champions game. I adopting elements of the story into my Aberrant Hero game. I especially liked. On another note, any ideas on how to build the main characters power?

Re: Anita Blake Vampire hunter Its not THAT bad... Anyway, I really loved the first couple of books, but the series has been going downhill ever since Obsidian Butterfly. Now, I don't mind a little sex in my writing, but when sex substitutes for plot, I'm unhappy. I still buy the books, mostly because I just want to see where she is taking the character, but I keep hoping that we'll get back to the mystery stories eventually. I've even written her and her fan club with such a request (not that I expect anything to come of it). And yes, the Harry Dresden books are very good. I have a hard time not reading the whole thing in one sitting. I just started reading the series and I'm through book 5. Warning, very addictive, but fun!

Steve, I'm pretty sure you answered this question already, but I can't find it after using the forum search function, so I thought I'd ask it. Can you use a 5pt. Skill Level with Intelligence skills to benefit your Perception roll? Thanks in advance.

Re: CHAR: Wonder Woman I don't read a lot of WW, but I happened to read the OMAC project and noticed two things I thought I'd comment on: She seems to have some sort of ability to control birds. Lots of birds at once. She distracts Superman with a flock of birds. And, the razor tiara needs to be beefier. She cuts Superman with it, and does enough damage that he stops and puts his hands to his throat where he was hit. So, it needs to be able to hurt Superman. Maybe you are calling the tiara magical, so it bypasses some of his defenses....
