  1. Duke - I would absolutely love to see your Western Hero stuff! If you run across it - please send it my way and I will 100% make sure it goes into the next edition (with your credits listed on the back cover to boot). Thanks, TB
  2. I also created custom back covers for each of the Omnibus editions and compiled all of the different articles/books together. My first editions were ordered early on Tuesday so I will post some pictures of them once they come in sometime next week. Gwarh - I had already ordered them but I really like KillerShrike's Cyberpunk stuff! I will probably start compiling them into another format and get them ready for v2 of the CyberHero Omnibus edition. I figure I will probably need to print them out a few times during this process before I will feel like they are "finally" complete. But at a cost of right around $10/book - it's not too bad of a throw-away if needed. If anyone knows of other Hero items that would be great to include in any of these editions - please let me know. Thanks everyone, TB
  3. DreadDomain - I will play with the border frame for Cyber Hero and see if something works a bit better. If I find anything, I will post it here. Duke - I really like the slang glossary - I will probably cut/paste the text into another format for the Omnibus- but it will be there. Thanks TB
  4. Yep, I found the Cyber Hero errata - its in Adventure Club #20. I have also found Horror Hero: Adventure Club #23 - The Secret History Cyber Hero: Adventure Club #23 - The Cassandra Matrix Western Hero: Adventure Club #24 - Bustin' Broncs I am now scanning these articles in and will be adding them to each Omnibus here shortly. TB
  5. Just finished scanning about 12 pages from Adventure Club #17 for the Western Hero Omnibus. Articles scanned: Hi-Ho Silver Away - Greatest Western Heroes that Never Lived Masters of the Spirit World The Plot Thickens (1 page adventure seed) I plan to quickly flip through all of the other Adventure Clubs tonight and see if there are any other Cyber, Horror or Western related topics. Anyone know of any off of the top of their heads? Thanks TB
  6. Duke - you are a legend in my book and I would be honored if you wanted to use any of my covers. If you run across any image that you think would work better for any of them (or if it is just for your own personal edition), just send it my way and I will generate a cover image for you. I created a Photoshop template for them so it is a snap to modify the images. Thanks a ton for the recommendation about Old West! I do remember reading about this in your scan thread and wanted to go nab a copy from Warehouse 23. This definitely will be included in my Western Omnibus. Edit - Oh, and honestly I don't remember where I originally ran across Shadowpunk 0.91 for Hero (the file is dated several years ago). Sorry I originally called it Cyberpunk in the original post. The author of the file is Justin Richt so I will try and find him and see if I can get permission to distribute it. Thanks for the kind words. If I can help you out in any way - just let me know. Take care, TB
  7. I recently had a personal book printed over at Lulu and I was very impressed with the quality so it got me thinking... Before I begin - if this thread is in violation of the board in ANY way - I am extremely sorry. I am not trying to do anything wrong - I just want to get some opinions/help. My plan is to create personal omnibus versions of my favorite three genre books that were never really updated to later editions. I have scanned each of the original three editions but I also want to include all other related works in the book. I have bought all related items that I could find from the store and currently my three omnibus editions include the following: Cyber Hero: Original Cyber Hero from ICE/Hero Shadowpunk 0.91 edition (Fan created edition) Horror Hero: Original Horror Hero from ICE/Hero Haunted Heroes Bloodsuckers Rampage The Stuff of Nightmares, Vol 1 Western Hero: Original Western Hero from ICE/Hero Hell's Half Acre Adventure Club #17 - Hi-Ho Silver Away - Greatest Western Heroes that Never Lived Adventure Club #17 - Masters of the Spirit World Adventure Club #17 - The Plot Thickens (1 page adventure seed) Gun Fu Have I missed any official (or even fan created) products along the way for these genres? I still need to go back through my Adventure Clubs looking for any related articles. I don't have any of the Digital Hero magazines so if anyone knows some that have related articles in them, please let me know and I will also grab them from the Store. Does anyone know if version 0.91 is the latest edition of the fan created Shadowpunk book? I also created some custom covers for the editions - please let me know what you think of them (or how I can improve them) when you have a minute. And NO, I will not sell these personal editions or ever post them online anywhere. They are just for my own fun/collection. Thanks for the help everyone, TB
  8. I am just now starting to use the optional hit location rules and I was curious as to how everyone rolled for the effects? Do you make a separate roll after scoring a hit for the location? Or do you use different colored dice and roll them at the same time as rolling damage? What about checking for knockback? I was thinking about rolling the standard blue Hero dice for damage, 3 red dice for hit location and 2 black dice to determine any knockback all at the same time (just to try and speed combat up). Wasnt sure if others tried this or if it would be too much going on at the same time. Thanks, TB
  9. For the conversion of the DND modules, look no further than: http://alphawolf10.wixsite.com/kestrelarts2/module-conversions There is about a dozen of the classic modules already fully converted over there including G1 and G2. If anything, this should give you a really good head start on your project. Take care, TB
  10. Recently, as I have bought different Hero book lots to help fill in the gaps in my collection, I have accumulated some extra copies of various books that I don't need. Haves: 4th Edition: Champions 4th Edition Rules HC (VG) Challenges for Champions (VG+) Classic Enemies (VG+) 5th Edition: Champions (VG) Conquerors, Killers, Crooks (VG) Dark Champions (VG) Hero System Character Creation Handbook (VG+) Hero System Combat Handbook (VG+) Hero System 5th Edition Revised (VG+) Ultimate Mentalist (NM) Ultimate Mystic (NM) 6th Edition: Hero System Equipment Guide (NM) Hero System Grimorire (NM) Hero System Martial Arts (NM) Adventure Club: Issue 2 (GD) Issue 4 (GD) Issue 5 (GD) Issue 22 (VG) Issue 24 (VG) I would like to trade them for other books that I am still looking for if possible. Wants: 4th Edition: Western Hero 6th Edition: Aaron Alston's Strike Force Champions Beyond Champions Universe Champions Villains Volume 1 Champions Villains Volume 2 Champions Villains Volume 3 Ghosts, Ghouls and Golems Golden Age Champions Monster Hunter International Narosia: Sea of Tears Star Hero Other Non-Hero Games: Aces & Eights Mutant Year Zero If you see anything that you might like, just let me know. Also, I will consider selling the books above. Just send me an offer for any of them as I can still get a few of the books from the Store right here. Thanks, TB
  11. I have to admit, I think i actually like my 6E Vol 1/2 in the POD versions over the originals. While I really love the color in the originals, the POD versions are just so much lighter and I dont have to worry about them falling apart. To me, the PODs are a great investment. Take care, TB
  12. I went down the same road about a year ago with the 6E. You can get the 6E2 directly form the Hero store but the 6E1 is the one that is hard to find. But fear not, you can find them if you are patient on Ebay for very good prices. I have been able to get 4x copies of 6E1 in great shape for about $40-50/each. It just takes time. But to tell you the truth, while I LOVE the full color of the 6E1/6E2, the weight of them is massive in my backpack. I also bought the POD versions of them and I have to admit, I actually prefer them. Yes they are in b/w, but they are much smaller in thickness and weight. Matter of fact, I have also bought all of the other 6E POD books from DriveThru and been thrilled with them. Unless you are a collector/completest, I wouldn't worry about trying to find physical copies and would just go get what I needed as POD. Can't say enough good things about them.
  13. Don't be embarrassed. I have been reading the Executioner off and on now for some 30 years. Every couple of years, I get the itch and have to go back and read a batch of them for fun. All total, I think I have 200+ Executioners and all of the Able Team and Phoenix Force lines. Now that I finished watching the Punisher series on Netflix, I think Mack Bolan might be calling me back yet again... Now, Doc Savage - I actually haven't read any of them - can someone give me an idea of what this line of books is like? Where would a newbie start?
  14. In the example of Adding Damage on 6E2 99 (at bottom of 2nd column), it states that the dagger is a HKA 1/2d6, Armor Piercing (+1/4) and that the GM has stated that you can’t more than double the DCs of the dagger. The example concludes by stating that the dagger’s damage is capped at 1d6+1. According to the reference tables on 6E2 101, it appears the doubled DC that is listed in the example is from the +0 column (from DC 2 at 1/2d6 doubled to DC 4 at 1d6+1). But wouldn’t the value come from the doubled DC under the +1/4 column since the dagger was listed as having Armor Piercing (+1/4)? Thus, shouldn’t the capped value be 1d6 instead? Or am I missing something here? Thanks, Todd B.
  15. Is there any place where I can purchase Western Hero in a digital format? I have previously purchased tons of Hero System/Champions books in PDF but as far as I know, I have not run across the ability to purchase Western Hero. I tracked down a used copy off of Ebay but it is a good deal ratty and I would prefer to read it on my laptop if possible. I'm afraid I already know the answer to this but I just had to ask. Take care, TB
