  1. I am working on my gaming world. I have an idea for a group of America's daring highly trained special mission force. It's purpose: To defend America against costumed terrorist organizations determined to rule the world! Yes, heavily based off of a toy line, cartoon, tv show of my youth....Called STARS: Special Target Assualt Response Squads So my question is, in a super hero world how many points (before equipment) should an agent of a similar organization be? Right now the package deal I put together is 300 points (including 100 points in gear)... Note this is the Dial Tone, Breaker, Cover Girl, Bazooka, Leatherneck's. Not the Duke, Snake Eyes, Flint, Scarlet's.... Should I tone it down, increase it, etc...
  2. I call is Street Champions. Similar to but more heroic yet darker than what Hero called Dark Champions the Animated Series (Still hate that name) We had Midnight a precog Avenger of the night Dragonfly a Vehicle based character (think Blue Beatle) Brute a Hulk like character Bandit a gadget laden Thief with a robin hood complex Support Spider: Computer Hacker/Information (they never met him) Bill: The previous Fox, Money and experience, to old to be in the field
  3. The Fox is Dead. Basically There is a generational hero (ala the Phantom) who has defended the city of San Corona for centuries. One day him and MOST of his support staff go missing. City gets worse, blah blah blah A previous Fox (pushing 90) gathers a team of young heroes together to find out what happened to the current fox and crew and defend the city Without getting to much into it, one of the new heroes became the new Fox and defeated the Lex Luther like big bad
  4. So many years ago (during 5th edition revised) I got an idea for a campaign. A few false starts Decided to make it a book (never happened) Started it about a year and a half ago. In the first time in 40 years of gaming, a campaign ended at a natural end...I have NEVER had that happen before in any RPG
  5. So had the Medical Examiner character (precog) get a vision right before her and the captain would be shot leaving the station after describing how bad things had gotten This led to an investigation on who did the shooting, ending in a fight by two agents of "The evil Corp" though as usual they know who but can't prove it... China town lit on fire as a forecast of next session. (China town mob is the only group not under evil corp...also guardian of one of the magic anchors keeping the big bad from being released...3 down, 2 to go)
  6. 1) cop in secret ID 2) Criminal Cat burglar
  7. City is getting close to being declared a state of emergency with martial law, enabling the big bad to take more control Various street gangs, mostly all of them unknowingly working for the same person (the fighting is helping him get political power) Thug level it is about territory and "respect" for the puppet master it is about getting total control of the city Law enforcment is pretty corrupt in the city, he controls a number of judges and most police (including the chief of police) Super Hero was a hero of the city, fighting a lot of the corruption Symbolisim...
  8. Whole campaign is based around the hero missing/dead basically it is a hereditary hero thing (think the Phantom). He went missing and the retired version of the character (twice removed, so a bit of Batman Beyond Bruce Wayne type) recruited the team.
  9. THe media is a good angle, would make a good arc if they had to get info to condemn the LT big bad used...
  10. Have a game I am running tonight and having trouble with the pacing of the chapter What the overall story needs is to emphasize that the city has fallen into (open) gang warfare. That without the return of the cities main superhero (Who is dead) the street crime will increase. Furthermore the head of a major corp is trying to get the crime even higher (he is working both sides, selling security & providing weapons/drugs/etc to the criminal element).

    STRIPE team alpha

As these will be homages I think I will combine elements of Scarlet and Lady Jay

    STRIPE team alpha

With Scarlet's background she can be the hacker/computer expert (plus MA) Beachhead makes sense as a sniper for the team, so does roadblock So right now we have Duke (leader) Scarlet (intelligence) Snake Eyes (Close Combat) Roadblock (Heavy Weapon) Beachhead (sniper) Makes a perfect five man team Breaker on comms….
  13. I want to do an homage to GI Joe, called Stripe Team Alpha, 5-6 members of a highly trained team of operatives. What Joes should I use as templates Snake Eyes Duke Scarlet Who else....

    How to Wildfire

Okay, thinking more about him Let's start with, instead of the F/X, the actual in play effect. Normaly he will be basically a robot (Easy enough to build), that CAN send out a ghost form... The ghost form is invisible, desolid, can fly, full life support. An almost never used ability will be giving the suit to someone else, or to have someone "ride" with it (Still in control of the suit BUT...) Thinking just make the robot, with desolid leaves the body behind. Some of the "shared" powers get tricky (Powers he has naturally and the suit provides)

    How to Wildfire

Some clarifications: The character will be a natural energy being. in his natural form he is invisible, desolid, unable to interact with things except a small amount of techno telepathy (He can use computers and such by touching them) The suit is a modified battle suit that he is "possessing". It allows him to talk, move, etc... Out of the suit he is not in danger of dispersing, but cannot interact with the world in any meaningful way (other than observation)

    How to Wildfire

Thanks tribble, was more concerned with the "gives him a physical form" aspect...Character is an energy being without all those fun things he could do (out of suit: Invisible, Flight, Desolid, all always on)...More I think of the character the more I think I will need to buy it as a Multiform OIF (don't like that idea)...

    How to Wildfire

How would you build Wildfire (DC comics legion of Superheroes) suit. It basically gives him a physical presence (he is an energy being)
  18. Been gone for a while, any chance of a year in review for Hero for me (What new products, things people are excited about, etc...)
  19. Actually the Iron Man cartoon from the 90's show a good example of this. Tony was a Multiform who would transition armors in the field. James was an OIF (maybe OIHID)
  20. Giving it to Quackhell
  21. As I had the only entry, I am calling myself the winner For mine I found this, I was kind of looking for a blank slate to submit,,,
  22. Meet Wendy, the messenger of Death. The Messengers are those who bring the soul to their afterlives. Wendy died in the 1800's but death found her cheerful attitude so amusing he made her one of his agents. Now she helps souls to move on to their next life, often helping them get closer before hand (Helps them do that last errant, say goodbye to someone they love, etc...). She does her best to make people realize death is not scary, just another part of life as such... I'm thinking of her like the old Cain and Able from Houses of Mystery and Secrets, where each of her stories start with her claiming the soul of someone, then we get to see an interesting story about their life...Often with a little bit of unfinished business getting done in the end (The weeping Widow smells a trace of her husband's cologne and knows it's going to be okay...)
  23. The wider the KS base is (Everything is pretty huge) the more penalties get put on for specific information. So if you wan John Smith's address it might be a -20 penalty, bringing the roll to 10
  24. My recommendation would be this High Range Radio Mind Link, works as radio not mental Now here is where it gets WEIRD. A mind does not need to be a mind (If your GM is a stickler spend a point on a computer). We will call this non corporeal mind "The channel" Now every mind that links to the "Channel" is able to communicate (Think of it as a party line) The special effect of having to "link up" is to get the access codes (so if the power is ever "Turned off" you need to return to base)...by the way, at least 20 years ago this is how some encrypted radio's actually work...
  25. The Mighty Warriors The Mighty Warriors are a team that uses armor to channel the Mighty Force. The Armor can be summoned to them. While out of armor they do not possess powers, they do have a natural aptitude towards their animal's abilities Mouse (Smart Guy). Mouse's special ability is to shrink to just 2" tall (from his normal 4'10") Insect (The Chick): (high) Toughness, Strong, flight Gorilla (Big Guy), Strength, toughness Hawk (Leader): Flight Tiger (Lancer): Not sure how "ferocity" would manifest, but see him as the best fighter Yak (Sixth Ranger). He falls down, but he always gets back up (regeneration, ,high Rec, etc..., played a couple over the years, it's amazing how great +30 REC can actually be, Especially with a +80 Stun only to determine level of Unconsciousness)
