  1. Re: Looking For Input On Potential New Fantasy Product regrettably this thought seldom occurs to most Hero writers.
  2. Re: Cassandra's Corner It could be argued both ways whether being involved with the Natalie Portman version of this character costs you points or gets you disad points.
  3. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC "Must spread rep around before giving any to Cassandra again"
  4. Re: What Champions books are 6th ed? here here
  5. Re: Looking For Input On Potential New Fantasy Product what if it could bring a new gamer to your table? esp. a convert from D&D ?
  6. Re: Calling all Green Lanterns old news
  7. Re: Looking For Input On Potential New Fantasy Product D&D4E sucked ass, and the gaming public noticed. The other "replacement" games that use D20s aren't much better, seeming to be mere retreads. Seems like a ripe opportunity for FH to waltz in as the best fantasy game around.
  8. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Sisterhood of the Traveling Panjandrum
  9. Re: Looking For Input On Potential New Fantasy Product call it ADVANCED BLUDGEONS & FLAGONS but seriously, just because you can do anything with Hero doesnt mean you have to. Use the KISS method. Make up or borrow a coherent, cool yet easy magic system, build that with Hero, and put that in the book. Let them figure out later they can build whatever they desire.
  10. Re: Sickle Syndicate Russian Air Mob - Putative villains of the USA-5O these should be considered strong rivals to your syndicate.
  11. Re: The War on Christmas as many have said, this sort of crime is way beneath their character. and from certain point of view, it is beneath White Knite. So he'll jump right on it, try to solve it and trace the Grinch himself down. Probably let a few more jobs happen so as to "gun-walk" in closer to head honcho. because this kind of thing can escalate. Grinch might be al-qaeda, or worse. besides, it gives me a chance to buy The Common Man as an 11 or less contact. ==== Sandor-San could solve it fifteen minutes, unless the gangsters are ready for magic. ==== Cosmo-Knite would maybe be on the its-beneath-me route, saying aren't there any noob heroes in town ?
  12. Re: The Avengers Project for Champions I have Thor at 69 STR, were you looking at correct sheet ? THOR
  13. Re: When is a Limitation a Limitation? >>>When is a Limitation a Limitation? if the player did not wince, its only worth 5 points max.
  14. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... I keep game books in the restroom in case of a "reading" session. So the other day I was carrying in a copy of THE ULTIMATE BRICK and my wife asked me if that was such a great idea.
  15. Re: Genius Tricks Could inspiration be had by watching the Mentalist, the Profiler and/or the new Sherlock one (googling) oh yeah: Elementary. I KNOW!!! what if he read a Wikipedia article !
  16. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares how did you get around the anti-caps-lock robot?
  17. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC Annihilation was good on Marvel. Mantis was great, and Super-Skrull, Nova, and Quasar. And then Raccoon nursing the seedling back at the end. Awesome shyte. I have not picked up a DC comic in years. and will not ... I could give you 5 dozen reasons, but putting a bullet through Blue Beetle's head was a big kicker. Stupid, Crass, Unnecessary Also DC is the home of Alan Moore, the father of Crass and Unnecessary
  18. Re: Real life Foxbat ???? please be specific, it is The Strategic Maple Syrup Reserve. !!!! it is just as important as USA's Strategic Petroleum Reserve Dude! Sweet!
  19. Re: Genius Tricks In one of my games, the kid genius built CARNIVORE, the ultimate spy program. it basically did everything you could do with a crystal ball, as long as it was something justifiably connected with the Internet, such as a database, or a webcam. One could deduce a person's thoughts by reading their blog, their email, their spending habits, listening in on their house and work, tracking their driver's license, cell phone etc. It was similar to Liaden's ideas above, but with focus, extra time, etc.
  20. Re: The Avengers Project for Champions I have completed the second round of edits. If anyone could care to look over the sheets, I'd appreciate it.
  21. Re: Champions Powers and Their Comic Book Inspiration title of thread is what? YMMV. If the character ALWAYS says it, it can be that and a Psych. Disad. Mr Incredible : "Showtime!"
  22. Re: Champions Powers and Their Comic Book Inspiration Tracking Scent - Wolverine. Force Wall : Sue Richards Distinctive Features (Verbal) {Sweet Christmas, Clobbering Time, Hoary Host of Hoggoth, etc} ---- Let's play this game reversed: Which super in the comics had their Mind Scan powers work closest to the way described in Hero ?
  23. Re: Teleport In Giant Robot? I like this power. it is old school 35 cent comics.
  24. Re: The Avengers Project for Champions re: Thor very complete disads, always the most interesting partr of any character. and quite a norse temperament to be sure. repped.
