Kenji Yakamoto is Yamato. A mutant from Nagasaki, he thinks being a supervillain with his fire powers is the path to fame. The media started calling him Yamato mostly because his costume unintentionally resembles a uniform from the anime Space Battleship Yamato.

I've spent the passed few minutes trying to coax him into going over his ideas on pronunciation, etc,  but no dice.  He has moved on to other things at the moment.  If I get a minute, I'll go over mine, if only because video has an audible component that text lacks.

Anton Eccleston was a member of a group known as The Collectors who acquired high tech super technology through various means in the hopes of reverse engineering it for mass production. However the groups collective abilities failed to live up to this ambition. Frustrated Anton subjected himself to a dose of Psi Serum to salvage something out of this venture. His intelligence was enhanced greatly, but at the cost of his sanity. He was stricken by paranoid delusions, the main one being the belief that he was the son of Dr. Destroyer. When the other members of the group mocked him during his rantings Anton eliminated them. He then used tech from Dr. Destroyer, Telios and Warlord to create a bio-mechanical humaniod he dubbed The Champion. It has the ability to morph and copy the powers and skills of the Champions 2050 and past Champions as well. Anton, now calling himself Son of Destroyer sent The Champion to attack the new team. The Champions managed to just barely defeat it and then Defender was able to break it's programming. Free from Anton's control it became a member of the team. It has since renamed itself Legacy.

I'll leave a new team concept to anyone else as my well has run dry of interesting ideas at the moment.

I think it is time for new master villains. So here is one.

Michael Alexander Lux was a top manufacturer of robotics, even doing research on nanomachines. This, of course, caught the eye of Mechanon. Kidnapping him, he decided he need him alive, he use some nanomachines to make him partly robotic in order to control him and make use of his facilitates and research.

Eventually, Mechanon was defeated for one last time. The heroes were clueless to what happened to Lux, let alone knew that he was abducted and in danger in the first place. Blaming the heroes, all superheroes, he plots to destroy them all. He becomes the mastermind known as Lux, using his knowledge of robotics, nanomachines, the powers injected into him by Mechanon, and his own company to defeat and kill them all.

Man, the catch 22 of Hero. We NEED great comic book style FULL COLOR ARTWORK to help sell the game to guys who pick up graphic novels. But there is no way to actually AFFORD a great artist to do them.

I hope we can have full color great artwork for Dome City. Even if we are going for a more MCU movies look to it. It is my senerio, after all. I hope that it does well.

Prehaps our "cover" could be a fake poster, as it was a movie.

The ninja hero known as Sneaker The Wanderer is a well-trained martial artist with the mutant power of regeneration -- no matter how badly he's beaten down (and it seems he gets beaten down a lot), he gets back up to fight another day.  He uses swords, sais, and throwing stars in addition to his hands and feet to defeat many foes.  Despite his many years in America, he still retains his original Aussie accent.

The Ultimate Templates sounds like a good idea for a book. Want to be a Brick and a Reporter. Just look up the Brick template and the Reporter template. You want to be a Dwarf Private Investigator in an Urban Fantasy/Noir hybrid campaign? Look up the Dwarf and P.I. templates. A Space Marine in a Star Hero game? Solder and Astronaut template. Cowboy superhero? Look at the various super templates and add Cowboy or prehaps Native American Brave or Native American Shaman.

It would be a long book.

For the decline of supertech, I would suggest there's less "OMG! It doesn't work anymore!" and more, "This is harder than we thought, and it's amazing this unstable technology worked as long as it did."

Example: In 2032, the computer scientist Dr. Joon Bon-Wha proves mathematically that the Zerstoiten Algorithm (basis of all "strong" AI for decades, copied as the name says from Dr. Destroyer) is intrinsically unstable. There's a conflict between the self-modifying aspect needed for generalized learning and decision-making, and the absolute directives that assure loyalty and adherence to particular goals. Eventually the simulated neural net degenerates and goes mad before collapsing completely. Dr. Joon theorizes that Dr. Destroyer and other super-scioentists kept their AIs going as long as they did through dodges such as having a specialized "weak" AI monitoring and adjusting the "strong" AI, but even that would fail eventually.

IN 2050, therefore, there is lots of specialized AI that's really good at well-defined tasks such as reading X-rays or driving cars. But genuine free-willed electronic personalities are rarely built. Some countries even outlaw there construction, on grounds that it's inhumane to create an intelligence that must inevitably go mad and destroy itself.

Some computer scientists are experimenting, however, with other program architectures -- particularly variations that leave out the "hard wired" directives. But many people are nervous about creating electronic intelligences that will be completely free-willed. Researchers counter that every human infant is an experiment in uncontrolled intelligence. What does it matter if a mind is in silicon or meat? Some researchers prefer to speak of "Artifician Personhood" rather than "Artificial Intelligence."

I could see a plot by some of the malevolent mythic gods most active on Earth in the modern era, including Hecate, Set, and/or Tezcatlipoca, to try to force the ambient magic level back up where it was before, or even higher. Per her write-up in The Hercules Force, Hecate and Tezcatlipoca once teamed up to try to shatter the Ban preventing the gods from fully manifesting on Earth.

Great questions. I would say most everything devolves to 2020 real world technology, plus about 10 years. Everything you see today in the real world is still a thing in 2050. 5G internet is commonplace in developed nations. Medical is about the same. While cyberization is still something, it has devolved to clunky replacement parts and has become too expensive to be affordable except for the super rich (or going through ARGENT).

Solar and wind power has stepped up to replace hydro-electric and coal power in the world. Still, there are parts of the world still in control of big oil and big coal. Everyone agrees now that nuclear power is too prone to disaster to use, and most nuclear power plants have shut down (but still are a danger as they still must hold nuclear material).

Since "smart cars" are a thing, there still are smart cars. They are priced expensively and still have manual overrides (in other words, a stearing wheel and break and gas petals).

Weapon technology is about the same. Lasers tend to overheat, so they ballooned in size to accommodate cooling technology. Police on the street now have access to tazer bullets (something being researched today, thank you Modern Marvels).

With the slow reduction of superbeings in the world, SNN ("The Super News Network") has 'evolved' to showing documentaries about supers between news casts (as super battles in public become more and more rare and they need to fill the time somehow). There sister station, Sidekick (having changed there name from SNN Sidekick long ago) focuses on superhero based entertainment, having long since abandoned the news format.

Please note, many Golden Age Comics not only use rubber science (see the origin of the Wizzer), but also don't really believe in continuity. So don't be afraid of having a villain you just introduce announcing that he is some guy's arch nemesis, and everyone plays that they know and haye each other, just because.

Your "time limit" is not the same as the Time Limit limitation. What the thing your looking for is, in actually, a healing condition, which can be taken instead of a "body heal" of healing Transformation. This is NOT a limitation, only an option (much like a Person to Frog spell's healing condition is "Being Kissed By Your True Love").

    Dear Jason,

I'm not quite ready to do something for this program just yet. I am wondering, do I really need to get in on day one, or can I submit something later?

Also, must it be adventures? Or can I submit a single npc (villain, or whatever) ?

I'm posting this in public, cause I think everyone can enjoy the answer.
