  4. Re: WWYCD? "Once more, with Justice" Preacher would sing a Gregorian Chant. His song would be filled with self loathing about failing to save his congregation from a bomb and how he feels that what ever he does isn't good enough to atone for their deaths. And when he finds the person who did this well he'll have something else to atone for. Hell Strider would sing a song in Demon Tongue, so nobody would understand it but her. It would be about her still unresolved issues stemming from her 10 years as a slave to a demon lord in the 8th plane of hell. Also about her hatred for the demnic being growing in her womb and her inability to kill it.

  7. Re: NGD Scenes from a Hat "Thank you Mr.Mayor for presenting me with the Key to the City. I'd just like to say that, Liberty Lad your fired, I hate you, I've always hated you so I'm replacing you with Helper Lass and you know... she puts out. Anyways thank you again Mr. Mayor."
  8. Re: Help Me Populate A Creepy Hotel The Four Hour Conversation An effect of the hotel rather then a person. In the hotel's lobby is a massive grandfather clock, twelve feet tall and four feet wide. When the clock chimes ina new hour it can be heard on the first two floors of the hotel. Any conversation held in the lobby, in view of the clock, while its chiming in 4:00 pm, seems normal to those that are involved until the realize its now 8:00pm. If the PCs stake out the lobby to find out what is going on they will see the affected people get up and walk to the elevators, still carrying on heir conversation. As soon as the enter the elevator the doors shut fast enough to prevent anyone or anything else to get in there, and then as soon as they shut the open again revealing an empty elevator. The PCs will be unable to find the people who have vanished. As soon as the grandfather clock chimes the last chime for 8:00pm the people who vanished will walk into the hotel from outside, take up their places, from when the where talking four hours ago, and then end their conversation. They will have no memory of doing anything but standing there an talking for a minute or two. And nobody but the PCs ever notice that anyone has dissappeared.

  13. Re: Help Me Populate A Creepy Hotel Shocked Saul Saul is one of the guests at the hotel. Whenever he's not sleeping (he sleeps from 5am to noon) he walks around the hotel randomly opening doors(every door he tries to open does, even if the PCs just locked it). After he opens a door he'll look at the room beyond the door, seeming to memorize it. Then he closes the door takes five or six steps away and then dashes back and flings open the same door. He always seems shocked to his core that the room hasn't changed. If asked what he's doing he makes up a lame excuse about the door (I was checking the hinges, I wanted to know which way the door swings). Then he'll go back to his door opening. If someone inside the room asks what he's doing he becomes agitated, often saying things like, "Shut up, Shut up!" or "Mustn't talk to reflections. Mustn't answer." If the PCs complain to the management they just reassure the PCs that Saul is completly harmless.
  14. Re: Help Me Populate A Creepy Hotel Jukebox Roy Roy is a kindly old man who's lived at the hotel for the last year and a half. Roy is a mute, if you see the inside of his mouth he doesn't even have a tongue. Roy knows sign language and will happily converse in it with anyone who happens to know it. Otherwise he writes down what he has to say in a pocket sized notebook. No one in the entire hotel has anything bad to say about Roy. When ever the PCs finish talking to him and have turned their backs and are walking away they will hear someone sings old songs. None of the Pcs ever hear the same song at the sametime. If they turn around Roy will be doing something else, not even looking at them. Nobody in the hotel but the PCs has heard this music and if the PCs press the issue they will get strange looks from other people.
  15. Re: WWYCD: think of the children Preacher: Well Preacher would not be somebody the police would contact. But Preacher would track down this guy, probably with help from Daniel and his gadgets. Then Preacher would tell him that what he was doing was not a sin. It was the very justice of the Lord and that Preacher would listen to the man's confession if he had any sins to confess. Hell Strider: When she was contacted by the cops she'd simply tell them that this man is doing what they should have done. Then she'd ignore any additional requests for assitance from the cops. However she'd gladly help this guy if he ran into her and asked for her help. In Real Life I favor executing all rapists and child predators. Killing might be too good for them but until we figure out how to overnight people straight to Hell it will have to do.

  17. Re: Answers & Questions Q: What sound does a cow making hitting a tin roof at 102mph? A: Potatoes and Jesus.
  18. Re: Where have you had your most memorable battles? Fighting our way through a mansion belonging to the main bad guy of the campaign. It was fully mapped out and the battle went through every floor and at least three dozens of grunt type enemies and I think nine major PC level badguys. It was a lot of fun and kicked of the next stage of the campaign.
  19. Re: Help Me Populate A Creepy Hotel LOL! I remember that show.
  20. Re: Help Me Populate A Creepy Hotel Peter He walks around the hotel whistling. Feathers of all different sizes and colors occasionaly fall out from his pants pockets. He never lets anyone in his room or even lets them look inside, in his breast pocket is a worn copy of Catchter In the Rye. He's very friendly unless the feathers or his room are brought up then he ignores who ever mentioned it for the rest of the day.
  21. Am I the only one who thinks that teleportation with the limitation 'must pass through intervaning space' should be able to be used for Move Bys and Move Throughs?
  22. Re: Help Me Populate A Creepy Hotel Repeating Alan Everyday Alan does the EXACT same thing. The only variations are conversations with the PCs. Every morning at 8:30 am Alan leaves his second story hotel room and walks to the elevator with the same newspaper under his left arm. Everyday he reaches the elevator just as the doors open and everyday he says, "Lucky me." At 8:33 am he sits down in the same chair and reads the paper until 9:02 am. ect... He never refers to anyone by name and always acts as if he's just meeting you. If you ask him about yesterday he says he justed arrived in town and checked into the hotel last night. If the PCs move his chair or block his door and then watch to see wat happens someone will always walk in front of them or their attention is drawn away and when they can see what they are watching its back how it was before they changed it. None of the other hotel patrons remember him the next day.
