  1. This started many years ago when I was in college. A couple of us were up late at the Sunshine Caffe and we were discussing power gaming and we decided to create the ultimate abusive character. The result was Captian Brick.... he actually claimed himself as a focus, most of his powers had the limitation "only when thrown" and he had a follower named rick who would carry him around and throw him at bad guys. We also discovered that while followers couldn't have followers, vehicles and bases could have followers and followers could have vehicles... we came up with a string of bases and vehicles. In the end we had a character who could take out a deathstar on 375 points or less. More recently I've been playing with the idea of giving a character "Desolidification usable against others, no end persistant" and a usable against desolid attack. Of course I would never play these characters, but sometimes it's fun to think of the possabilities. Does anyone else have some stories about this type of character, maybe one that someone actually played in a game.
  2. Re: I dreamt of HERO last night. I dreamed that someone left three monkeys in my apartment. They could speak using sign language, and I made them milk shakes with icecream and bananas. I woke up before they could tell me if they like the milk shakes.
  3. Re: Iyo: The Most Underrated Or Underused Character In Comics I kinda liked Quasar.... I loved the bit in his own book where he tried to hide his identity by wearing a pair of glasses and all the other heros were feeling embaresed for him.
  4. Re: How would you do this? Way too powerful. She's not a hacker, she a cyborg with a hacker toolkit built in... I'm mainly interested in how many point people thing "one attempt is work" is worth.
  5. Re: Multiple-Power Attacks--Untenable Rule Personally my rule of thumb for any power tends to work on this, if the player cannot come up with a convincing reason that his power exists, then don't allow it. Sure people can come up with some pretty obnoxious concepts that justify abusive powers, but this rule filters quite a bit of stuff out.
  6. I'm working on a character named Scorpia (I'm sure the name is taken somewhere but I'm using it anyway) she a supersoldier/cybog. Her main cybornetic attachment is a "scorpian tail" on the back of her neck that is hiden inside a long braid... The end of the braid has a USB port that allows her to log into computers and use some preprogrammed hacking tools.... The way I was thinking of doing the skills was to have a skill with the liitation that it can only be used once for any given task.... if it fails then she would have to get the real hacker to update the programs before she could try again. She also could only hack Computers with USB ports. Any suggestions on how many points these limitations should be worth? I'm also wondering how scorpion poisen might work in game terms.
