Re: Super Names My newest members of The Crusaders. Hardrive: A grad student with Cyberware and a gadgeteer VPP who is also an extreme sports enthusiast. Prismahawk: A powerful Russian energy blaster whose brain has been "re-worked" to hide her past. Genko: A Korean brick and energy blaster who may be one of the Communist North's new super soldiers. Icestorm: A Quebec teenaged girl with AOE ice powers who is "interning" at Crusader Citadel for her Junior year at the Northlands Academy, a school for parahumans. Beast Warrior: A Zimbabwean UNTIL agent who can take on the aspects of the great beasts of Africa to exact revenge on the man who destroyed his unit. New Members of Force Aquarius, one of two groups I use at Origins. Angelshark: An aquatic deb and former member of the Sharkmen. She runs faster on the ocean floor than she swims and is pain in the neck to her old rich family. Lamprey: Also a former member of the Sharkmen under the name of Thresher but has been given a second chance after his boss, the infamous Aquaficer, tried to remote destruct his suit with him in it. Now he wears an armed dive suit that looks like built from bailing wire and sheet metal. He's also the one they have to watch the most as the team simply dosen't trust him. The Force of Nine, My GenCon team from the 31st century. Millennium Girl: A teenaged girl from the 21st century with Ice powers and a target on her back. Pathfinder: A stubborn Earth girl who has been genetically altered to become a human space tracker and scout. Sentry: The team's supergenius, egoist, and prankster. Stomper: A twelve foot bear-like alien with superstrength and Sentry's best buddy. The two are called "Master Blaster" by Millennium Girl. Silverlord: An alien rogue of unknown origin who can transmute anything to various metals. Lydia Prime: An android built to look like a human teenaged girl. She was programmed originally to kill the Force and take Millennium Girl alive but she overrode her programming and became a staunch ally. Verkanner: The youngest member of the Force at 15 and the team's speedster and planetary scout who can survive in any environment. "De Verkanner" means "scout" in Dutch which his native land. Green Gladiator: An alien warrior and combat expert who is Millennium Girl's bodyguard. His superstrength is as strong as his sense of honour. Countess: A recent recruit from the planet Krystalaan, an ice world just gaining Allied Worlds League membership. She is symbiotically attached to her planets "lifeforce" which grants her various powers. Dreamwalker was a former member who fell into a bad crowd and was the Force's enemy. But found out what her group was really going to do and helped the Force defeat them. She stayed behind in another universe to help rebuild a world. She did her damage from the "Dream Zone".
  2. Re: S.H.A.R.D. - Super Hero Acronym Resource Directory S.C.O.R.P.I.O Special Command for Offensive Response,Protection, and Intelligence Operations. This is my SHIELD-like organization that I intend to replace PRIMUS with in my part of the shared world I play in.
  3. Re: Who's Who on the Champions Online forums? SKREEEEEECH! (translation: I'm Werehawk there as well)
  4. Re: What about a Space 1999 Hero Just remember to buy the lasers with the power limitation "doesn't work vs alien threat of the week." How about a Mk.IX Hawk pilot with the psych limit "Afraid to fly in an Eagle". For a few more points use "Deathly afraid to fly in an Eagle when Koenig is the pilot" since he crashed five of them out of 28 total.
  5. Re: S.H.A.R.D. - Super Hero Acronym Resource Directory I.C.E. Intelligence Command Europe. A regionalized SHIELD organization. B.E.T.A. Bureau of Espionage,Terrorism, and Assassination. My main evil super organisation. L.O.G.I.C. League Of Galaxies Intelligence Command. Analogous to the Science Police (25th Century organisation created years ago).
  6. Re: "Open-Source" superhero names There are at least three versions of the Comet (Archie, Marvel, and DC/Impact respectively).
  7. Re: Atlantis? What do you do with it? Several members of the Sharkmen are Atlantean. Black Tip,White Tip,Woobegong, and Sand Tiger are political exiles and are in league with the Aquaficer. My Atlantis is descended from an alien world and their technology is more super science than sorcery. However, I have retained the basic physical description and stats as it is written in "Hidden Lands". Force Aquarius has run into them the most and has twice encountered Aquaficer and his Sharkmen.
  8. Re: Your "2008" Pet Gaming Projects This past Fall, since all my campaigns are set in the same city in different time periods, I decided to christen it "The Liberty Metropolis Chronicles". The American League is my new Pulp Hero/Golden Age Heros campaign that debuted in October. The Crusaders is my Champions campaign and six new characters have been admited into Crusader Citadel. The Force of Nine is my GenCon campaign set one thousand years into the future with four new scenarios in the works. Plus, The Global Defense Initiative will be at Origins involving both the Sapphire Squad and Force Aquarius.
  9. Re: Susano's Song-Based DC NPCs I have a character by that name. He and his twin brother, Captain Fantastic, are the leaders of the Music Men. Both are powerful psionics as well as being both psychotic.
  10. Re: The ol' name game I use the term Para-humans or "Paras" to distinguish superhumans from normal stock. This includes Mutants as well as accidental paras.
  11. Re: WWYCD: The Life Pod The first thing the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) must do as a global safeguard against the inevitable UNTIL fubar is to get the craft to Deep Ice as fast as possible. Dodger and Catamount (in their civilian guises as UFO investgators)would locate the pod, send the co-ordinates back to Tranquility Base, fire up the "plane-shear"(a teleporter designed to move heavy objects, like flying saucers),and send it to Deep Ice deep beneath the Antarctic continent where it nothing can get out and away from any populated areas. If anyone asks, a GDI agent will tell them "we have top men working on it right now" and dissappears. At Deep Ice, Hummingbird would be able to read the markings with her psionic translater powers to determine weither or not the craft is indeed a life pod with a fortunate survivor or a prison pod holding a very dangerous being. Dr. Teemo Aarkinnen, the worlds most reknowned xenobiologist could then determine the biology of the woman and adjust the medical and atmospheric requirements needed to keep her alive. Cyberseer might be able to find out if her race has been here before, possibly looking for her for whatever reason. The rest of the Sapphire Squad would be on stand- by in case this woman is indeed a genuine threat

    Super Names

Re: Super Names THE CRUSADERS This group is my demonstration game that I run at the local gaming store here. These characters are pregenerated in order to get into the game quickly. Most of these characters are based on JLA members. they include... Star Knight: The leader of the team. He is a Questoran, a powerful and immortal alien who, like other members of his race, is on a life-long quest. In his case, to destroy evil. Chapperal: The team's speedster and move-thru artist. He's one the city's most powerful financiers and is CEO of the city's main bank. Demonangel: Mistress of hellfire and other black arts whose mission is to atone for her family's evil past. She is the city's main philanthropist and and is Chapperal's main rival (when both are in their secret ID's) Steel Dragon: The team's martial artist with dragon-like powers. He is scourge of the city's "Little Tokyo" district where the triads have a "slight" disagreement with him. Lancer: Steel Dragon's partner in Little Tokyo. Little is known of her past except she is of alien origin and carries a collapsible lance that fires various ammos. Blockade: He has the ability transform into four earth-like forms (rock, metal, crystal, and sand). His main enemies are the drug cartels who turned him into what he is. Sea Lord: A British shipping magnate with full underwater life support and can use water as a weapon both above and below the surface. He is a fierce defender of the seas. Scarlet Eagle: A native of Procyon IV who crashed to Earth in pursuit of a dangerous criminal. He is strong, agile, and a deadly air-to-air combatant. He part of his planet's police force. Bronze Eagle: Scarlet Eagle's rookie partner with the same abilities. She is the team's chief pilot and archivist. Both have deadly vulnerabilities to Platinum, which dosen't exist on their homeworld. She is the more cerebral of the two. Valkyrjur: A young Norwegian woman who wields mystical weapons and powers derived from a mystical order of female warriors whose sect has been around since the days of the Vikings. They operate out of Crusader Citadel in the city of Liberty Metropolis(basically Philadelphia in a parallel universe).
  16. Re: Archetype Twists I have a character named Angelshark who swims 15" with a x8 non-com multiple in her underwater movement multi-power. When she lands on the ocean floor, she gives new meaning to the phrase "hit the ground running". She takes off at a 35" inch clip with the same x8 multiple. She also has 14" of tunneling provided it is a sandy surface (angelsharks are bottom feeders who use their fins to cover themselves with sand to avoid detection by predators). She also has an Ego multi-power and is trained as a spy. She was designed as an aquatic Flash.
  17. Re: Where did all the Great Ones go? World building. My campaign has several Timely Comics characters that operated before and during WWII as a loose confederation of "Mystery Men" called the American League. They included the Blazing Skull,The Challenger,The Fin,Miss America,Red Raven,The Silver Scorpion,The Thunderer, and Aarkus, aka the Vision. My current scenario will re-introduce the Vision to my players as they try to prevent a powerful sorceror the League once defeated from returning.
  18. Re: Your "2007" Pet Gaming Projects Mine are these: The Crusaders. This is my demonstration campaign that I run at my local gaming store that uses pre-generated characters in order to teach the rules of the Hero System to gamers and non-gamers alike. Global Defense Initiative: My events for Origins this year starring the Sapphire Squad and Force Aquarius in more UFO/USO action. The Force of Nine: My events for GenCon this year starring the 31st century's fledgling defense force. I will also continue populating the cities of Liberty Metropolis (both 21st and 31st century versions) and Novosibiersk as well as the North Atlantic Ocean.
  19. Re: Sam Rami to do a Pulp Film? Since we seem to agree that Sam Raimi is a great choice for directing this project, what are your ideas for the cast? Here's mine The Shadow - - Hugh Jackman (With or without accent) Margot Lane - - Rachel MacAdams (My choice for the Invisable Girl) The Avenger - - Cillian Murphey (MacAdams' "Red Eye" partner) Doc Savage - - Daniel Craig or Eric Bana(With his hair dyed Blonde) The Villian would likely be Shiwan Kahn since both the Avenger and Doc Savage have no arch villians to speak of. My choice for Kahn would be Ken Watanabe. Just an idea.
  20. Re: 7 heroes summoned through time: who are they? Doc Holliday was not a heroic figure by any stretch of the imagination but he did have one good trait which was loyalty. He always said that Wyatt Earp was best friend he ever had and stuck with him to the end, which didn't raise the bar any higher because Earp was no Boy Scout, either. Jesse James was a far cry from the old west Robin Hood that dime novels and Hollywood had depicted him to be. Billy the Kid was just plain psycho. If you want a cowboy "hero" (I use the term loosely), Butch Cassidy would probably fit the bill. He was not known to have killed anybody yet he was handy with a pistol. He is described more as a charming rogue than a sinister criminal. He was very smart and he adapted to changing technology very well. And, he was a born leader. Legend has it that Butch and the Sundance Kid were killed in a shootout with a Bolivian Army unit but the bodies were never positively identified. Their remains have yet to be found (which would explain why he is here in the present).
  21. Re: Galactic Champions I'm curious as to how one would put togather a "Teen Galactic" Champions campaign using the parameters of both books? I could see something along the lines of the Champions 3K opening a "Legion Academy" type operation to train new supers from various worlds to enter their ranks, but what would be good starting point total and what would be the limits? My Force of Nine campaign takes place in 3000 AD and has teens in the 375-425 range. I had a villain group that had a higher point total and the players just beat them into next friday.
  22. Re: Need an organization name The Equinox Foundation The Paradigm Initiative
  23. Re: CHAMPIONS OF THE NORTH -- What Would You Like To See? I'm interested in whatever artwork needs to be done to help see this project through.
  24. Re: WWYCD: <Your character>: The Clone Saga!! Whiteraven: Her clone would be defeated by her teamates once she started talking since the real Whiteraven's throat was mangled externaly and Telios would have no knowledge of that. Enforcer: Since all of his powers are derived from his multi-phasic armour, the only thing Telios would get out of this clone is a skilled astronaut with no knowledge of his Octagon masters.
  25. Re: Superhero Images Sorry I haven't replied earlier. I'm having computer issues again. Dreamwalker's short coat is light purple with a dark purple criss -cross pattern and white crystal diamond clasp. Her body suit is beige in the middle and burgandy down the sides. Her boots are midnight blue on the inside of her legs. Her gloves are burgandy with multi-coloured jewels on her forearms. Her hair is golden blonde.
