  1. Laura Diamond loved diving and exploring caves underwater, in one cave she swam through a strange energy field and gained the ability to Teleport.

She now calls herself Abyss and uses her powers in concert with the others to rescue those trapped underground.

  2. Doc Quick

Doctor Algernon Quick is a brilliant polymath but he constantly found himself unable to complete all his ideas there just wasn't enough time in the day that's when he came up with his greatest invention.

the A-temporal Selective Acceleration Projector a compact device that looks some what like pocket watch.

a simple button press generates a a temporal field around the wearer which allows the user to project themselves into an accelerated temporal phase stretching seconds of normal time into minutes of personal time.

The Girl, the gold watch and everything?? Novel I read ages ago...

Like the power but how would it be built?

  3. Do not work on my cellphone web browser also.

I figured out how to get this to work with my iPad.  The Way Back Machine at the top of the page has a date associated if that date is current "May 2015" there is no info available, but if you back up the date it works just fine!!  I have it working as of date Jun 19, 2009; all the explanations are there!!

    Hopefully this thumbnail helps...

  4. Eastern Alchymist

Rose Allen had trained to be a scientist. She took all the courses and was top in her class, she hoped to find job with some esteemed lab and make a name for herself.  She thought working for a company like Fluor Daniel might provide the opportunity she needed to succeed. She hoped her basic knowledge of Engineering would lead her to new plateus and her determination to apply green energy in new areas would be rewarding!

One day whilst working away at her plans, late at night, cause she really didn't have a life outside of work.  She surprised a thief at the office who didn't think anyone was there.  Rose surprised the villain Alchemica as she turned the vault door into air and was rifling through the plans to see which ones Fluor' competitors would want a heads-up on.  Alchemica, startled to find someone there this late in the night scraped part of her focus on the filing cabinet before turning her powers on Rose.  Naturally, Rose crumpled breathing in the knockout gas, Alchemica grabbed the plans she could and headed out of the building.

As she passed Rose' unconscious body a sliver fell off the fabled Philosophers Stone and landed on Roses head.  Almost immediately it secreted itself into her brain. Alchemica escaped.

Rose woke in the company medical suite and was attended by several medical professionals.  Alchemica's robbery had been detected and once the medicos were satisfied that she had suffered no ill effects from the knockout gas Rose was released and given several weeks off to recover.

Being a workaholic, Rose didn't know what to do with herself and was starting to go stir crazy.  Several of her coworkers had sent flowers to her hoping she would get well soon (Roses, naturally).  The flowers had not been treated properly and were dying much quicker than they should have, Rose sprinkled some of the plant food she had been given and her eyes flashed with a green energy. Suddenly the flowers bloomed to full life again.

Startled, Rose didn't know what had happened, but the scientist in her wondered if she could do it again.  It was winter, the snow had covered her back yard.  She uncovered a small section and again applied the plant food to some dead grass.  It grew young thick and green.  Somehow, she had some new powers over plants!!  But how to use them and use them for good??

  5. When 'heros' become dark 'murder-hobos', vilains must become even darker to tell them apart.

In one game, a hero started acting and doing villainous activities, so her Rival, the villain, became a hero instead.  And didn't understand when we attacked him and arrested him for previous crimes...  :tsk:

  6. Yep.  The live version is not working but the WaybackMachine saved it.  It's what I used for John Wick's Complications as well.

    HM

Is this why I can't get it to open on my iPad?  Mac works fine but not the iPad...

  7. I agree with your comment about anti-mutant hysteria, and technically Peter Parker did mutate from a human to Spider man after the radioactive bite... I think its assumed that unless you explain another origin that you are a mutant!!

    Thor - I am a god

Iron Man - I built it

Fantastic Four - we were exposed to radiation

X-Men - what?? No explanation?  AHHHH their mutants!!

    etc

  8. Once the “core” characters are complete we “power up”,  15/5/10.

The campaign “core” characters already have some experience.

    Each player “spends” 15 points.

    Then 5 points.

    Then 10 points.

They cannot keep or combine the points, they must be all spent at each interval.  This, however imperfectly,  slightly simulates spending experience.

Can you give an example or two of what you did here?

  9.

In the 6e Champions Powers, it changed to a modifier added to a specific power:

Add Armor Piercing (x2; +¾) for Force Blast (45 Active Points); Extra Time (makes whole attack take a Full Phase; -½), Only Applies Against Force-Fields (-½), Requires A PER Roll (-½). Total cost: 18 points.

(This used one of the Armor Piercing variants from the Advanced Player's Guide, allowing 1/2 defenses, 1/4, 1/8, etc. for an escalating Advantage value.)

Can someone confirm this? I don't have that book but can hunt around for it unless its available as a PDF!
