Been watching Adventure Time and it's quite the surreal Post Apocalyptic story

The Fantasy Trip kickstarter just ended, but people can pre-order stuff from it, including add ons. One add on is the entire library of SJ Cardboard Heroes for $25.

I'm back to where Mt. Hood is the volcanic threat, but Mt. Ranier would cause friends some issues. Just from ash though. My wife's aunt lives pretty close to Cancer and friend's in Fall City.

Late congrats to #26.

Can't really say I have a preference. I was introduced to 4th Edition and loved it. I liked 5th Edition also (what little I got to play it). 6th Edition would probably would be to my liking but I didn't have the money and had other priorities. I have the money now, but have even less time to game. I would be curious as to what 7th Edition would be like and what changes it might have.
Shout Out: Doc Democracy, RDU Neil, Lord Laiden, lemming, and others I'm sure I'm missing. Nice to see all of you still active here.

Well, the price on your head was pretty big back then.
Thankfully I have outlived most of the assassins.

It is well established that the most important thing in the universe is a cyclist's momentum.
I've been taking to biking again now that we're back in Portland. It really is a rule, though I've always had a healthy respect for larger masses getting the right of way.
The only times I go thru lights is after making sure something isn't going to try to kill me.
When I was in the Bay Area and without a car, I had a 20 mile commute, I don't think there was a day that someone didn't try to kill me.

I'm happy with 6e. I certainly played more 1-3e than any of the other editions, but I've run a few 6e games at cons and it plays 90% the same.
I liked the tone of the writing thru 4th edition, but 5 & 6 were way more accurate.

The Fantasy Trip, aka Melee/Wizard.
Just about as simple as a role playing game can be and still function.
And after many years out of print, I understand it's soon to be available again.

Here: The Fantasy Trip Kickstarter
It's got a lot of stretch goals done and yes, very quick and easy system. It's what I played before Champions. (Hexes and points, but way simpler)

I have a small bag of dice with the rpg materials that I'm going thru. In storage is the .50 cal ammo box stuffed with dice. Majority are six siders from the last 40 years though I think there were some that sneaked in from old board games of the sixties... Also includes a few handfuls of the $1 for a handful from Hero games back in the 80s. (Just one year they did that at DDC, then went to using coffee cups to combat people with size 17 hands...)
I never did the crown royal bag, but noted the other day that you can sometimes get custom stitched royal bags from them.

Not too far from my wife's aunt's house, but probably won't be applicable while she's house sitting in a month. (She's more of a fish fan)

Fresh-caught whole-fish wild coho salmon on sale for $6.99/lb, includes cut & wrap to order. Grilled salmon steaks for dinner tonight, with a layered salad and top-quality sourdough bread.
Where? (Place to acquire said fish, since we're in the same region of Wa)

First reaction: Only 948?
Second Reaction:
If they're in great shape (not showing wear), maybe at a game convention if they have flea market style setups. I'd price them at 1/4 to 1/2 cost of new ones.
Some game stores might be able to do consignment, but unsure. I treat my dice like a dragon even though I rarely game now...

Well damn. Condolences as well.

I found the ancient Heromaker software available for download from archive.org, so you might be able to do 1st-3rd edition characters using it.
Note, it's written for 4th Edition. Fairly compatible, but Hero Designer would be more flexible in that you can modify some stuff.

While having an internet connection will make life easier to install, you could do a linux install via USB.
And while I'm sure you can do it all yourself, I'm currently in the Seattle area.

Haven't gone into too many tests and it looks like this is not impacting my use, but I do have this error come up on start

I'm pretty sure that Oregon is fictional in the first place.

I was going to go with an Oregon Coastal Island version and then noted it wasn't available! So South Carolina then, grrrr.
I like the mixing of stuff from other cities and while going with the dimensional escape plan, we could also go with a mad scientist wanting to steal landmarks and messing up a bit. Hmm, maybe a mad scientist in another dimension and he actually sent it all here?
