There is a great distinction between lampooning a group based on choice and a group based on birth. Men don't choose to be men. Cops choose to be cops. Let's not forget that. Second, given the countless stories of how often cops are corrupt and even the not-corrupt cops defend those cops, we get a clear image of a system that is more rotten than not. This isn't a minority inside a vast group. Take this case in particular: a cop went all cowboy in executing already dead individuals after he and his colleagues already went Bonnie and Clyde on them. And the whole of them are choosing to not cooperate with the attorney and there doesn't seem to be push back by their police superiors to compel them; quite the opposite, indeed. That is a wide scale and systemic problem. That is not a "few bad apples". And, believe it or not, E84, the vast majority of us guys don't go around raping people - that is an extremely small percentage of people. A small percentage of people who only belong to that group as an accident of birth. So, please excuse me if I continue to default to the idea that cops are not to be trusted. I wonder about that, too. But I think that is a no-no. We are not allowed to pick people that hold the same mantle, I think. Thus Since Nightwing was picked, we can't pick any of the other Robins. But I could be easily wrong. I know for sure we aren't allowed to pick alternate universe versions of the same character. Thus we can't get New52 Bat and Pre-Crisis Bat. Only one Bruce regardless of continuity. La Rose.

So, does anyone have any ideas for a theme song for Scarlet Spider? I was thinking "The Animal I've become" but that seems a bit odd. And I thought about 紅月 (Akatuski - Red Moon) by Baby Metal but that also seems a bit off. If nothing else I will go with the latter but I thought I would open it up for suggestions first. La Rose.

I think I know Hermit's choice for this round: "The Silver Senior". No actual powers but he can yell at the whippersnappers to get off his lawn. La Rose.

I don't think it much matters. Granted I am not the Commish so I can't decide but I would have no problem with ya just keeping the character. And I also doubt that anyone else would, either. La Rose.

I think it has slowed down a bit more than last season but my guess as to the reasons would be two fold: 1, people are getting sniped more and thus have to re-think their ideas as the last moment and 2, with Bazza and I being placed on opposite sides of the bracket there are going to be long gaps before and after we post typically. Looking over the assembled members I begin with a slightly lower and solemn voice as I open "I am sorry to say that my initial choice for this round, ****, was nixed by the high and mighty commish." "Let's not focus on what we can not change." "SHREEEOOONGK!" "Yeah, I am with the Big-Big Guy" Rocket says in following. "So, who is up next?" Getting back on to topic I continue "Well, as you know it must be someone with a color in their title. But more than that I want to try and keep with our non-human theme for all of this." "Well, my original pick for the Mystique slot was going to be Otto Octavius's Superior Spiderman but I didn't think he was abnormal enough to cut it so I went with Mystique to better fit the theme." "You mean I was almost not dragged into this BS?" Mystique jolts up from her seat. "Oh sit down toots" Rocket says as he shoots her a sweet little smile. "Let the man finish, will ya!" "Thanks. Now as I was saying, I didn't go with a Spider-Person that round BUT then again no one else has either. That means he is wide open. And he has the full on Spider Transformation now. With untold glee in my heart I call up Mystique. "Hey, Mystique..." And as if on cue she interrupts with a snarky "What, Rosie?!" Holding on to my happy spot I simply take a breath. "You know what, I am going to let that slide. I was talking with Kurt a bit ago and he thought we should get theme songs for each character. Something about building up the team moral and crowd support. In her usual sardonic tone she responds "Go on." "Well, I just finished picking everyone on the current roster's theme and I think you are going to get a real kick out of yours." I continue. "Okay, what is it? Just skip to the point." "Oh, no. I think you should see it for yourself. It is a full on masterpiece of a song custom tailored for you. Just come on over." A couple hours later the group is assembled. Addressing everyone present I keep a close eye on Mystique. "Okay everyone, so as you know I am unveiling everyone's theme songs today. I regretted not having everyone present for Kurt, Groot, and Rocket's song but I will fix that with Mystique's and Godzilla's. So please have a quick view of Mystique's new theme." And I press play on the PC. Mystique: Riddled with anger Mystique can't even finish the video as she storms over and grabs me by the collar. "What is the meaning of this, Rosie!?" But without waiting for a response she delivers a strong and hard knee to my side. "I said you get a real kick out of it, didn't I?" as I begin to cough up some blood. "Now, feel free to call me Rosie all you want." I quip with a bloodied grin. -- Taking a moment to clean my lip and start breathing normally I move over to the computer.
