  1. Re: You Know You've Been Playing Champions Too Long When... you remember when "the old man" was "that new kid" and a sidekick...
  2. Re: Post-Apocalypse campaign with Pulp Hero feel 'splains things then why I never got into it.
  3. Re: Lantern Corps...Only Not White could be future corps members unchosen at this point. i also thought that for Indigo - Compassion -instead of ( I kill because I have to and I forgive you for making me kill you. (a little weak, need help)) how about "surrender or die!"? I dont have to kill, I choose to accept defeat of my enemies over death. Also Ce related to emotions would be a good choice. the counter to the CE would be various environmental movements.
  4. Re: Change Environment: a dangerous weapon Heck I allways though it was dangerous (in 4th not so much) in 5th I was wondering why Steve didnt build the traps in the FH book with a change environment.... but then it could be abusive for really cheap. (GM-ok make a dex roll at -8 or else fall 1000 hexes.... PLayers- WTF!?!?!? GM- pit trap.)
  5. Re: Do you give differing accents to fantasy races? Pre Warhammer there was a definate Scottish dwarven phenom in Northern TX.
  6. Re: Dwarves, Elves and Hobbits Need Not Apply! Man I keep on planning on postin a poll about Fuzzy supers, this could be better!!!
  7. Re: Cool Guns for your Games Uhh I just HAD to get the Steampunk pic for a character I have, "Automatic Abe" Yeah the group I play with has to see this one....
  8. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares 1602 man read 1602
  9. Re: What can you do with five points? the spork has four points and allows the eating of soup too, yeah the spoon is pointless. Btw with one point left over i'll ignore the knife and keep it around to buy like a perk worth one point.
  10. Re: The furture is now buddy ; phaser now there aren't enough of those out there to stop the balloon aliens invasion right now.
  11. Re: 10 Sci-Fi Weapons That Actually Exist and the spray from a garden hose can render this item ineffective
  12. Re: Star HERO with... not magic, really, but... They could also be good guys offering essentially "the Ship who sang" concept to those who would qualify all sorts of good things like remote mobile forms (say, 'Androids' with total feedfack possibilities), ships, or even life/body changing surgery for indentured servitude. Perhaps offering their (monopolized?) services to those who would otherwise be a physical/care burden burden but would have much potential.
  13. Re: 10 Sci-Fi Weapons That Actually Exist Actually diving through plate glass windows isn't nearly as deadly as they present. Potentially hazardous and dangerous, sure, but having walked through a closed sliding glass door myself as well as having numerous examples of the same having been done (hell i'd do it during a shooting incident if i felt I had to like the guy who smashed through on during a shooting incident in Tx.) i wouldn't place everything these guys say upon a pedestal.
  14. So I have been running a campaign for a while now and I think there are a few plotlines the characters have run through or developed/resolved to a point where they wont visit it again. Do any other Gm's also have thes for their camapaigns? For example: the team encounters a DNPC being posessed by a pirate ghost. demanding: ship (s), treasure and wenches the team folds this into a quest to find quality poker players to win a hammer away from a dwarf and prevent a supervillian returning/reoccuring. they take him to treasure island in Las Vegas and he posesses the ship. Excellent flavor for a Vegas adventure and a possible future plot for a future vegas superheroics. but not this camapign, with this group, since they allready 'know' the 'secret'.
  15. Re: your favorite speed tricks. Doesnt 5ER also say you only pay once per phase for your strength? thus 1-100 Str blows only costs str/10 in end. IIRC it is a 5th Condumdrum
  16. Re: Basic Templates Rocker, magician, Hmmm there has to be more......
  17. Re: Urban Fantasy Setting: Here There Be Monsters Before I get all wonky with a character design could you look over this EC and see if it violates the maximums for Psychic Characters? 8 Hirsute (Elemental Control): Buzz apparently has a Psychic based ability to control his hair on his admittedly hirsute body. In all cases the use of his powers usually makes a buzzing noise ranging from a subtle bee buzz to a chainsaw like rattle, and they do not work well when he is very wet or wearing heavy clothing. He can perform the following power stunts with this ability. 12 point Elemental Control, Noisy (-1/4), Restrainable (Heavy clothing, loss of most/all hair, Does not work well when wet) (-1/4) 6 Power Punch: +4d6 Hand Attack (-1/2 Hand Attack) Noisy (-1/4), Restrainable (-1/4), +1 OCV Costs End (-1/2) Noisy (-1/4), Restrainable (-1/4), (25 A) 15 Microfiber Blows: ½ d6 HKA, Continuous (+1), Damage Shield (+3/4), 0 end (+1/2), Persistent (+1/2), (34 A) Noisy (-1/4), Restrainable (-1/4), 6 Missed by a Hair: Combining hair trigger sensitivity to normal attacks with a psychic survival mechanism Buzz has a real ability to Survive. Combat Luck (12 PD/12 ED) Costs End (-1/2), Noisy (-1/4) Restrainable (-1/4). 7 Moving Hair Tricks: Buzz can use the hairs on his body simulate a variety of movements ranging from using his hair to grab various surfaces and drag him along them operating something like a centipede; generating air flows downwards Buzz can prevent most falling damage, (gliding effects) as well as prodigious leaps upwards as well: 12” Flight (24 A), Noisy (-1/4) Restrainable (-1/4). Limited (not direct flight, only something akin to super athleticism abilities) (-1/4)
  18. Re: So the villian dies by falling off a cliff Copperhead, a movie serieal IIRC two fisted pulp hereo who wore a coif of copper chainmail to protect his identity. Possibly the stupidest mask concept, ever, but it was fun.... "Gee, why do you have little cresent marks on your head buddy?" instantly springs to mind that or "your looking a little green there pal..."
  19. Re: A couple of brain cells connected... Joel Rosenbergs the Guardians of the Flame series explores modern gamers who actually go to a fantasy world with their characters abilities and their own minds. they introduce Gunpowder, then the opposition develops something similar that explodes when in contact with water....
  20. Re: Chocolate in Pre-Columbian New Mexico Yeah and degreed Achaeologists get dirt for pay, part of the reason why I stopped wanting to become one. fair compensation should start with reasonable pay for the guys doing the work rather than the privledge of digging.
  21. Re: Urban Fantasy Setting: Here There Be Monsters No offense, and please dont think of this as a slight but I feel that it should be credited as your character. you have put together a very aligned, themed character that would fit well in the camapign. If you would like to put up the rather poorer character I built somewhere else under a different name/identity them please feel free to do so.
  22. Re: Urban Fantasy Setting: Here There Be Monsters there was a note in buffy about the sleeping habits of prussian generals... (inferenced by me to indicate they were possibly vampires and a slayer may have changed the world...) La Rose the limitation not vs called shots should have the descriptor of not vs called heart shots. not not vs called shots, Huuuuge difference IMNSHO.... Ah and the Gear Pool calculation is way off. the normal gear secion does not cost one for one but instead costs 1/5 because it is normal real world accesible gear and specifically not Professsional pool material.
  23. Re: How do you build a vampire template in 6E? Actually I agree with this, after all a human has the ability of procreation that he did not pay points for. So why should any other character be required to pay points for procreation?
  24. Re: Game Master Lament One Player built a character V&V and left off one choic in his wole power list. One of his Absorption abilities then was required by the Gm to require him to leave his flesh behind to absorb the powers of the absorbed materials..... Heh for my Group "Homework" of 'respond to this email' is beyond most of my team members capacity... not a true complaint but definately a note to beware of your players limits.
