Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant more the tech - did you run it on Roll20? If so, did you do it with the tools/space created by some of the people here?  How did that go (either your own build, or the macros the group created)?  Or did you use another solution, like the tabletop simulator talked about in the Online resources?  Or did UCon have a solution up?  That kind of thing.

I'm always interested in hearing about experiences with remote gaming particularly with hero system games.  I've been using maptool as a player and ref for quite a number of years, with various combinations of hangout, discord, vent, skype, etc and I was wondering what your impressions were of whatever you had available to you.

I did run it on Roll20.  I think there was a listed HERO character sheet set there, which is what I used.  It went well- we used Discord for audio and roll20 for tabletop.

I have my badge and my ticket for Young Americans.  Looks like I got one of the last two slots - as of now all slots are filled.

I also don't see the characters on Roll20.  Could you send me a copy of the characters as well?  Thanks!

Sure, please send me a PM with your email.  Yeah, they're in the game but not listed on the game page.

Sure , but I prefer to build the characters I play(been playing hero system since 1985)
you might want to add that the characters are pregens and maybe post them somewhere

I think I'll post them on the discord, although they are actually posted in the roll20 site.  Speaking of which, I do need to actually stat out the antagonists at some point.

The U-Con site shows the Young Americans on Saturday at 8 pm - was there a change?

Yeah, I had hoped for Friday but they scheduled me for Saturday.  Oh well.

I am about to play a Lucha Libre adventure, as Master, and when we finish it I would like to make it available for everyone to play. So, the question is, may I post a link to the document in this forum?

(It will be written in Spanish and translated to English in the same doc, with 4 Player Characters write-ups ready to start)

Nice! Is this for 5th edition or 6th edition?

Here are my updated versions of Solitaire (Elaine King) from Champions 4th Edition and Solitaire (Shannon Havelock) from Champions: The New Millennium for 6th Edition. They are what I considered "experienced" versions of the character, as the original stats were "rookie" versions, with an updated design for each. Included are the Hero Designer files, Adobe PDF,  and Microsoft Word versions in case you want to make some changes for your campaign.

Solitaire (Elaine King and Shannon Havelock)

    Enjoy! 😉

Solitaire (Elaine King) - 425 points

Solitaire (Shannon Havelock) - 475 points

Did you look at the version of her from 5th edition? She's in one of the books- I think the Ultimate Mentalist or Ultimate Mystic but can't remember exactly.

  7. Hello everyone,

How would you guys build Eric Draven/the Crow?  I bought the movie on Blu Ray and am watching it now- so I thought about how to put the protagonist into the system.  He's kind of an interesting hybrid of champions and dark champions character.  Let me know and feel free to post builds.

SJWs make D&D go PC!

    ;)

Sadly, they've been going in that direction since at least 2015 (probably earlier given their location in the ultra-liberal/leftist Seattle area)- there was a moronic uproar about a "colonialism" (not necessarily a bad thing) and "racism" (which was false) in Tomb of Annihilation.  But I think it's excessive and silly.  I think the best call is just to give players and DMs options to run the game.

If you want an escapist game where you can fight evil without any moral quandaries, keep alignments and evil races.

If you want a game with shades of gray and moral dilemmas, then drop alignments and have no evil races.

I confess to being the guilty party behind the Gronda (and Kid Grond) from Haymaker #56.  She originated from a thread Hermit started about She-Grond / Grondette / Gronda (the name varied) with the name "Gronda" itself coming from some other poster to that long-ago thread (I don't recall who).  I think my original writeup of her borrowed heavily from Grond's writeup at that time.  But grandmastergm's writeup looks to be pretty solid.  Well done.

    Nice, thank you!

What if Grond and Gronda;s conditions were contagious, If getting even a drop of Grond's blood or other fluids turned you into a Grond, it would be quite interesting -- not to mention an existential threat to civilization. Imagine having to face an army of Gronds and Grondas when just one of them is enough to keep a superhero team busy for days.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, research is probably under way to find a "cure" so Grond isn't Grond anymore. Grond is not contributing to the research, because Grond doesn't care. He probably doesn't even know about it. Besides, if he were to be de-Gronded he wouldn't be a brilliant medical scientist like Bruce Banner -- he'd just be a poor dumb thug with a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. You'd still keep him in jail, though it will take much less effort to watch him.

Yup, well there is a Doc Grond who is a PRIMUS Agent who played around and ended up like that, but kept his intelligence.  And he's also looking for a cure for the condition.

I suspect you would likely fracture a group playing this. Real world politics these days is insanely divisive.

Yeah, it certainly is.  And may get worse.  But you might have a group that agrees with you.

As I understand the Harbinger of Justice, while he might do bad things to looters, he'd be as likely (if not moreso) to go after bad cops.

That's fair- he probably would shoot both rioters/cop-killers and bad cops.

  12. To be perfectly honest from you, I come from a family of cops.  I recall growing up as a child with the fear that harm could happen to my parents.  When I see the sedition, subversion, rioting, and other criminal acts being excused by the cult of BLM, its media apologists, politicians, and members; my blood boils.

STOP TREATING COPS LIKE ANIMALS AND THUGS AND TREAT THEM WITH RESPECT.  And I'm glad that Fox News is the ONLY network providing any kind of sympathy to police and their families like mine.  I'm proud to come from a cop family, I'm proud to be white, I'm proud to be American; and I'm going to proud until I die.

I'm sick of seeing this parasitic behavior from the gaming community.  These cops would sacrifice their lives to protect us from criminals and terrorists- and yet all I see is an appalling sense of contempt, moronic cynicism, anti-american communist and anarchist sentiments, and flat-out sedition.
