As many people are aware on the boards Storn did over 100 commissions for me. It is not going to be possible for me to post that many details.
I know that some of the old posters who do not post here anymore like Supreme had commissions that were done by Storn. The specific example was of an American Indian woman with wings reminiscent of Dawnstar of the Legion of Superheroes. This was one of the images that got me interested in getting a commission.
Yeah, I know. I'll take whatever you got, please!

Do any of you guys have any ideas for a remote convention game that you'd like to see? Or do you have any sample adventures?
-
Hello everyone,
Right now I'm working on a convention game that will feature a group of starting superheroes (400 points in 6e, 75 complication). All are based in Metro City, a campaign city created by the late DJ Webb. The twist is that all need to be characters drawn by Storn Cook. Please post character information of any character you created that Storn Cook drew.

While I am that old, I think it’s more the cheesecake pics of She-Hulk from John Byrne and George Perez that warped my tiny impressionable little brain. The original version was just Sheeva from Mortal Kombat colored green, but the covert art was closer to the she-hulk so we went with that.

I don't think I've seen four arms done that way before--one set behind the other. It's an interesting idea, but I would think the rearmost set would need to be longer than the foremost to have any usefulness. Still, it's a wonderful job!
Got a rate chart for your artist?
You can find it here.

P.S. Why is She-Grond hot?
She's called Gronda in Haymaker #56. She's also described as such in her profile. Ray Lowery created her.

Hello everyone,
I noticed issue #56 of Haymaker featured a female Grond named Gronda. I created a version of her that is a bit more playable that will be an option at a couple of convention games that I'm going to run this year. I also just commissioned a piece of her by Taghuso, an artist on deviantart. Here she is:

It has to be a cone effect no range. The eye has to be looking at you and it has no effect if you don't have magic abilities. And 0 end.
How big for the cone effect?

It would be more expensive as I would have taken the Anti-magic stare out of the multi-power, make it a damage shield and have it affect only those in front of the Beholder with a flash or darkness field break its effect.
A 1m surface personal damage shield, or how about a cone effect no range that has the same features? Also, would it be 0 END?

Grandmastergm, did you build Colonel Blinky under 6ed rules? Because he's missing OCV/DCV/OECV/DECV stats...
He should have an OCV, DCV, OMCV, and DMCV of 7. There was an error with the HTML sheet I copied.

Everyone knows the Crow movie, so I'll throw props to Rapid Fire, an excellent but relatively unknown martial arts action movie. One great movie like the Crow can be an outlier for an actor's potential, but Rapid Fire sealed the deal for me that Brandon could've been a massive superstar.
I even like Showdown in Little Tokyo, which I watched last year. It's a shame that 11 minutes were cut out of the movie, but I think it's a fun movie.

He was supposed to have the Apache helicopter pilot sight.
He had an autofire KA
The rockets could be special purpose like explosive.
He could use darkness or flash powers.
He could have laser sighting which would give the minigun and the rockets a benefit i.e. CSLs
Okay, how's this build?

Two different versions of The Color Out of Space from 2010 and 2019. The 2010 version is more faithful, but the 2019 version does boast so pretty good practical effects.
Glad to see that Richard Stanley returned to directing. You should watch "Lost Soul: Richard Stanley's Island of Dr. Moreau" which talks about the tragic end of his filmmaking career in the 1990s with the disastrous 1996 Hollywood movie. The documentary is far better than the actual 1996 movie (which is a stunning misfire given the talent involved).

What sort of attacks did he have for his weapons arsenal?
Do you remember if he had targeting systems or boosts to his CLs or CVs?
What about his complications?

Update:
Status of Origins 2020
The Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA), the non-profit organization serving the hobby games industry, today announced that it will postpone the 46th Annual Origins Game Fair, originally scheduled for June 17-21, 2020 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, to October 7-11, 2020. The tabletop convention attracts more than 20,000 attendees from around the world to central Ohio to play thousands of board games, collectible card games, miniatures and role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons™, Magic: The Gathering™, Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Catan, and hundreds of other titles.
The decision to postpone the convention follows extensive discussions with its membership, the city of Columbus, the Greater Columbus Convention Center, hotel partners, and exhibitors. “The decision to postpone the convention was not one we made lightly,” said GAMA Executive Director, John Stacy. “The safety and well-being of the Origins community is our number one priority. Given the current health situation, we believe that it is best to move the convention to October.”
With the postponement, GAMA also announced that they would be hosting an online gaming convention during the original show weekend, June 19-21, 2020. Origins Online 2020 will be a fully virtual convention for tabletop gaming fans to enjoy from their devices and will feature an Exhibit Hall where attendees can demo and buy games and merchandise. In addition, the virtual convention will offer streaming workshops and educational seminars with guest authors, artists and game designers, plus hundreds of games online that attendees can sign up to participate in.
“We are all in this together. The postponement of the in-person event and introduction of Origins Online is an opportunity for the hobby games industry and broader gaming community to get excited together and come back stronger on the other side of this pandemic,” Stacy continued.
Details regarding the postponement of Origins Game Fair and Origins Online will be shared soon

Thanks very much Spence but there isn't much into it, it is just a Word file that I use from one character to another. I can upload a character or two in the download section of the board for people to take if you want.
Please do, that's an awesome character sheet. Do you have to put in the information manually, or do you have HDC do it as an export?

I just got Hero Designer working the other day. I confess my knowledge of how to export things is very, very shaky. I clicked on them both multiple times and I kept getting an error message.
Would I have to open Hero Designer first? I do not know how to get my computer to know what to do with them.
EDIT: OOOoof! I got it. Hero Designer is pretty counter-intuitive for me. I had to let the idea sit for a little bit until I could think of something else I hadn't already tried. I will go look at those files now.
EDIT AGAIN: That Officer Sasquatch write-up is amazing! He's a teeny bit higher than I intended to make him, but that is easy to tweak. He is absolutely what I was looking for. Thank you!
No problem! Feel free to power him down. I mixed the Gigantopithecus and large ape together and added in the flourishes suggested in the thread. Glad you're happy!

This is Achilles. He was the PC of Andy Matthews, art director for Hero Games. Andy passed awhile back. His great friend Jack B. commissioned this picture in Andy's honor.
I didn't know Andy super well.... but I enjoyed working for him. I was honored to do this tribute.

Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread.
Here is my version of Tuatha for a Champions superhero game I've been involved with. The character is a hybrid speedster-mentalist-mystic power armor conglomeration.
This is the first time I've "inked" and "pencilled" totally digitally. Usually I pencil and ink by hand. Some fantasy stuff, I skip the inking and color over pencils.. for a non-comic look. But with some new software, I wanted to see if I could do it.
It took me about 3x as long as a usual commission. I find especially the inking, new to Gimp, very difficult... took me a bit to get a solid thick to thin and vice versa solid black line. When I ink by hand, my hand doesn't shake, but the wacom -Gimp inking- I got some pretty shaky line as my tablet seems to be super sensitive... especially for long strokes along a horizontal plane. But overall, I'm happy with the outcome.
