Check to see if COBOL code is still being used in the IT field.

Damage Negation is a 6th edition power--basically, it's 5 points (per level) to subtract 1 damage class from the attack hitting you, and bought for each type of damage you want to negate.

I know a guy that was working at a zoo trying to herd wallabies one evening when one of wallabies jumped up and head-butted him. Eric ended up with a broken nose and two black eyes. He might disagree about that killer instinct. 🙂

Maybe the aliens are actually trying to free the Earth from the supers in charge? They're not _quite_ heroes, but not necessarily villains either. The PCs could establish a working relationship with them, fight them, or possibly even be aliens themselves.

I can think of one hero I know was killed in a Champions game. He'd been designed for a new player, but the player opted not to join the game on the night the character was being introduced. One of our regular characters had been captured and was being experimented on by the big bad, so the team was trying to break him out of the villain's lair. During the firefight in the holding area of the lab, a grenade got knocked into one of the cells . . . where the new character was being held. Since the player had decided not to join the game, the GM decided "BOOM! First-Aid had no resistant defenses without his armor. He's DEAD." Our *characters* had no idea the room was occupied and were fighting just to get out, so we never checked the room.

Excel could also make it February 1, depending on the locale.

I'm not sure there's anything to argue with there.
